Community trackers list it from Friday, October 23 at 9:00am PT to Sunday, October 25 at 9:00pm PT. 2K's Seasons page also lists Halloween apparel 2X REP for the same four modes during The Long Night (October 20 to November 1), without saying which days it's live. 2K's official Season Events Guide (updated October 21, 2026) lists Wear & Earn Wednesday every Wednesday from October 21 to November 25, six in total, and the Season 2 Courtside Report adds an Amex Wear & Earn on November 7. Separately, every Crew Divisions game pays +25% REP for all of Season 2. If your 2X REP isn't showing, check that the event is live, that you're in a mode it covers, and that your item is on the eligible list. When is 2X REP in NBA 2K27? (Season 2 schedule)
Season 2 started on October 16, 2026. 2K's support article "NBA 2K27: Season Events Guide" is the official event list, and 2K says it's "regularly updated." Here's every event it names, plus the apparel 2X REP windows 2K lists on its Seasons page and in the Season 2 Courtside Report.

What 2K hasn't published yet:
- Adidas weekend times. The Season Events Guide doesn't list it; the Seasons page names it without dates. LockerCodes' event schedule lists Oct 23, 9:00am PT to Oct 25, 9:00pm PT, and the 2K Dispatch community account listed a 2X REP window in The City for Oct 24–25.
- Halloween 2X REP days. 2K's Seasons page says: "Plus, wear Halloween apparel to earn 2XREP in MyCAREER games played in The Theater, Park, or Ante-Up, or 2XREP in MyTEAM games played in Triple Threat Park." It doesn't say whether that runs for all of The Long Night or just Halloween itself. In NBA 2K24 and 2K25, The Long Night's Halloween 2X REP ran on October 31, and 2K Dispatch lists "Trick or Treat" in The City on October 31 this year. Treat October 31 as likely, not confirmed.
- Other events. 2K hasn't said whether Poseidon's Reef, the CeraVe Splash Zone or the Crew Divisions Tournament pay bonus REP, so they're marked "Not stated."
2K's own advice on timing: "Always remember you can check your Events menu in The City to confirm start times and event details, too" (NBA 2K Support).
How does the Adidas 2X REP weekend work?
2K's Seasons page describes it in one line: "Wear Adidas apparel to earn 2XREP in MyCAREER games played in The Theater, Park, or Ante-Up, or 2XREP in MyTEAM games played in Triple Threat Park" (nba.2k.com).
- Find an eligible Adidas item. Check what you already own first (see the VC section below). If you need to buy one, pop-up shops around The City sell event apparel.
- Equip it on your MyPLAYER. In this r/NBA2k thread, one player says that once an eligible item is on, "you will see a logo appear above your head which lets you know your 2x is active." That's a player report, not something 2K has documented.
- Play The Theater, Park or Ante-Up. These are the three MyCAREER modes 2K names. The REC, Crew Divisions and Proving Grounds aren't on the list.
- Or play Triple Threat Park in MyTEAM. It's the only MyTEAM mode named.
The Seasons page uses the same wording for Halloween and Amex apparel, so all three apparel windows cover the same four modes.
Which modes does 2X REP actually count in?
Each kind of 2X REP doubles a different set of modes. Playing the wrong one explains a lot of the "not working" reports.

For Wear & Earn Wednesday, 2K's Seasons page says only: "2XREP every Wednesday by wearing designated apparel! Get eligible items from the pop-up shops located around The City." It doesn't give a mode list, so read the in-game Wear & Earn prompt each Wednesday. In Season 1, community trackers reported each Wear & Earn window lasting 24 hours, from 6:00am PT Wednesday to 6:00am PT Thursday.
Season 1 also had 2X REP weekends that didn't need apparel. 2K's official account announced The Deep End (Oct 2–4) with "Head to the Event Center now to start racking up rewards and 2XREP for all games played!" Why is 2X REP not working in NBA 2K27?
On October 23, r/NBA2k had several threads like "2x Rep not working" from players wearing Adidas gear who saw no bonus. We found no official 2K acknowledgment of a bug as of October 24. Before you assume it's broken, check these in order.
1. Is the event live for you? In that thread, some players guessed the bonus would only start later in the day, while others said the in-game banner already showed it as live. The Events menu in The City shows the actual start time; social posts don't.
2. Are you in a mode that counts? The Adidas bonus covers The Theater, Park and Ante-Up, plus Triple Threat Park in MyTEAM. The REC, Crew Divisions and Proving Grounds games don't get it, even in a full Adidas fit.
3. Is your item eligible? 2K's wording is just "wear Adidas apparel," but players disagree on which items count. In one thread, a player reported Adidas shorts bought for 8,000 VC that didn't trigger the bonus, and a reply said "the shorts gotta be from the specific event store not the regular one." Others in the same threads said any Adidas item worked. These are player reports, not a 2K rule. 2K's wording for Wear & Earn items does point to the pop-up shops, though, so a pop-up item is the safer bet if you buy one.
4. Do you see an indicator? Players describe a logo above your MyPLAYER when the bonus is active. 2K hasn't documented it, so treat it as a hint, not proof. The surest check is whether your REP after one Theater, Park or Ante-Up game is higher than usual.
5. Still nothing? If the event is live, you're in a counted mode and the REP after a game looks normal, report it through NBA 2K Support before buying more gear. 2K hasn't said whether it will make up missed bonus REP.
Do you need to spend VC for 2X REP?
Probably not much. 2K's wording is "wear Adidas apparel," not a full outfit, and a player in the 2x rep Adidas thread put it simply: "Any 1 item will work. The cheapest shirt is 6,000 VC." That price is a player's report and may differ by item, so check the pop-up yourself.
Before spending anything:
- Check what you already own. A player who spent 13,000 VC on October 23 later found a jacket from launch week that would have worked. Another says MyCAREER Eras gives you an Adidas jacket or pants; we haven't confirmed which Eras reward that is.
- Buy one item, not a set. Nobody reports a bigger bonus for wearing more pieces.
- Keep your Amex gear. If you were one of the first 200,000 US players to play three Theater games on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the Amex Theater Takeover, 2K says that apparel "will be 2XREP-eligible for the Amex Wear & Earn on November 7—and more eligible apparel is also available in pop-up shops around The City" (Season 2 Courtside Report).
The outfit above is the Clown Costume: Ankle Taker, a Level 39 Season 2 reward, so it costs nothing if you're on the Season track anyway. 2K hasn't said whether it counts as Halloween apparel for 2X REP, so check the Long Night prompt before relying on it.
How much faster does 2X REP get you to the GOAT Builds?
2X REP doubles the REP from each eligible game, so under the same conditions an hour of Theater, Park or Ante-Up during a window counts like two. How much sooner you reach a GOAT Build depends on how you play, which modes you use and queue times, and 2K doesn't publish REP-per-game figures. What we do know is where the GOAT unlocks sit. 2K's Courtside Report lists Ray Allen and Hakeem Olajuwon at Elite V, Derrick Rose and Michael Jordan at Elite VIII, and LeBron James at Legend I, and 2K's City announcement says the ladder has 40 levels: "With 40 REP tiers in NBA 2K27, players can earn double the rewards over the same period of time as last year."

Through Elite VIII, NBA2KLab's REP rewards table lists 9 Cap Breakers and 505,000 VC (tracker data, not a 2K list). The bonuses don't overlap: a Crew Divisions game during the Adidas weekend still gets only its +25%, because the Adidas bonus doesn't cover Crew Divisions. During a window, the best hours are The Theater, Park or Ante-Up with an eligible item on.

How do you plan your REP grind around the schedule?
- This weekend (Oct 23–25): Adidas item on, The Theater, Park or Ante-Up only. Save Crew Divisions for after the window closes.
- Every Wednesday through Nov 25: read the in-game Wear & Earn prompt that morning, buy one pop-up item only if you don't already own one, and play the modes the prompt names.
- Around October 31: watch the Events menu for The Long Night's Halloween apparel 2X REP and check which item qualifies before you buy.
- November 7: wear your Amex apparel if you have it.
- Every other day: Crew Divisions for the +25% REP and Double Crew XP 2K added for Season 2.
