Life-Binder's Handmaiden drops from Madness of Deathwing, the final boss of Dragon Soul, and only on Heroic difficulty. The Normal version of the fight never drops it. The chance is roughly 1% per kill, and Dragon Soul sits on a weekly, per-character lockout, so one character gets one attempt every seven days. Farming starts at $5.39 per run cycle.
How long it honestly takes. At about 1% a kill there is no guaranteed run count, and we will not pretend there is. Ten attempts is roughly a 10% chance, twenty-five is about 22%, and it takes near 69 weekly kills before the odds pass 50/50. That is why this is sold as blocks of attempts — $26.95 for 5, $53.90 for 10 and $134.75 for 25 — instead of as a carry that cannot exist.
Alts are the only real accelerator. Every eligible character on your account has its own weekly Dragon Soul lockout, so five characters produce five Heroic Madness of Deathwing attempts in the same week that one character produces one. Extra characters raise how many cycles you can consume, never the 1% chance on any single kill.
It is account-wide once it lands. Life-Binder's Handmaiden is a two-seat flying drake, and mounts are account-wide in modern retail, so it unlocks for every character you own the moment it is learned. The item itself is Bind on Pickup, which is exactly why the kill has to happen on your own character rather than being mailed to you.
How it is delivered: piloted by default, or Self-play Remote for 30% more if you want the account to stay on your machine. Express and Super Express move your order up the queue. Manual play, no bots, PC only. US realms are the default; EU is on the region switch above.
