Opened Ultimate Team on reward day, gone to Division Rivals, and found nothing there — no packs, no picks, no tokens? Or worse: logged in to find the game already opened your rewards for you, dumping tradeable cards straight into your untradeable club? You are not alone, and in almost every case your rewards are not actually gone.
This is the complete July 2026 fix guide for EA FC 26 Rivals rewards not showing, the auto-claim bug that has been quietly costing players coins, and exactly when and how Division Rivals rewards drop in Season 9 (FUTTIES). We verified every step against EA's official help pages and Pitch Notes.

Quick answer (TLDR)
- When do Rivals rewards drop? Every Thursday morning (~08:00 UK / ~07:00 UTC), on a weekly reset. If it's Thursday and yours aren't there yet, EA says rewards "can take up to 24 hours to appear."
- Rewards not showing? Restart Ultimate Team, then restart your console/PC. 90% of "missing" rewards are a display/sync delay, not a real loss.
- Rewards auto-claimed and opened? This is a known FC 26 bug — the game force-opens your Rivals rewards, so tradeable cards become untradeable in your club (you lose the resale/coin value). Fixes below.
- Live right now (July 2026): EA is working through a Clubs/matchmaking issue from Title Update 1.6.4 and an emergency 1.6.5 patch — server maintenance during this window can delay reward processing.
- Get max value: claim rewards the moment they drop, sell tradeables before they expire, and turn packs + coins into the squad you actually want.
Season note: This applies to World Tour Season 9 (FUTTIES), live since 8 July 2026. Season 9's Token Store now refreshes on Fridays (not Thursdays), which changes the window you have to claim and spend — see the token section below.
When do EA FC 26 Rivals rewards come out?
Division Rivals rewards run on a weekly cycle and release every Thursday morning. Community trackers and EA's own reward cadence put the drop at roughly 08:00 UK time (about 07:00 UTC), though the exact minute varies week to week, so don't panic if it's a little late.
Two things reset each Thursday:
- Your weekly reward tier. In FC 26 you bank Rivals Points during the week: 15 Points unlocks your base weekly rewards, and 30 Points (roughly 10 wins) upgrades them to the bonus tier. When the reset hits, the game locks in whichever tier you reached and hands you the matching rewards.
- Your Points counter. It zeroes out and you start earning toward next week's rewards immediately.
Your Division placement carries over — you do not fall back to Division 10 every week. Only the rewards and the Points counter reset. If you want the full breakdown of what each division pays out, see our Division Rivals rewards guide and the climbing guide for hitting the 30-Point upgrade faster.
How do you claim Rivals rewards in FC 26?
Rewards do not open themselves the "right" way — you have to go and collect them. The correct flow:
- Open Ultimate Team and go to the Competitive tab (or Play → Division Rivals). You'll see a small "Rewards Available" flag on the mode.
- Enter it. The game shows the division you finished in and whether you earned the upgrade, then reveals your reward list.
- If you received any "1 of 3" Player Picks (red/untradeable picks), you must choose them before you can move on.
- Head to the Store → My Packs. Any packs you were awarded are waiting there, unopened, until you choose to open them.
The key detail: unopened packs in "My Packs" hold their tradeable value. As long as you open them yourself, tradeable cards can be listed on the Transfer Market. That is exactly what the auto-claim bug takes away from you.
Why are my EA FC 26 Rivals rewards not showing?
If reward day arrives and the cupboard is bare, work through these causes in order — most are fixable in under five minutes.
It's a display or sync delay (most common)
This is by far the usual culprit. EA's official missing-rewards support article is blunt about the fix:
"Restart Ultimate Team™ or Clubs. It can take up to 24 hours for your Rewards to appear." — EA SPORTS FC Help (help.ea.com)
So before anything else: fully close Ultimate Team and reopen it. If that fails, restart the console or PC entirely, relaunch, and check again. EA explicitly asks you to wait out a 24-hour window before treating rewards as genuinely lost.
The servers are under maintenance
Reward processing runs server-side. During the current July 2026 window, EA has been patching a live Clubs/matchmaking problem. EA SPORTS FC Direct acknowledged it publicly:
"We're sorry for the ongoing matchmaking issues in Clubs... Title Update 1.6.4 introduced an intermittent live issue that we tried to fix with an emergency title update 1.6.5." — @EASFCDirect, 22 July 2026
When EA takes servers down for maintenance — especially during the final hours of an event, which is when it stings most — reward delivery can stall until the game is back up. Check EA's server status or the official channels before assuming your account is bugged.
You already used or discarded the content
EA's first troubleshooting step is a reminder to "double-check that you didn't accidentally discard or use the content somewhere else in the game." Untradeable packs auto-fed into an SBC, a pick already taken, or a card quick-sold in a rush all look like "missing" rewards.
You hadn't hit the minimum Points threshold
No rewards at all? Confirm you actually banked 15 Rivals Points during the week. Below that, there is nothing to claim. This trips up players who only got a couple of games in.
It's genuinely missing after 24 hours
If rewards still haven't landed a full day later, EA routes you to the FC Missing Content process: gather your account details and match info, then contact EA Help so they can restore it manually. It's slow, but real losses do get returned.

The FC 26 Rivals auto-claim bug: what it is and how to stop it
Here's the one that actually costs you coins. A recurring FC 26 issue has the game automatically claiming and opening your Division Rivals rewards without asking. One EA Forums player summed it up:
"For about a month now, FC has been automatically claiming my division rivals rewards and opening them. Anyone knows how to address this? I am unable to save [the tradeable cards]." — EA Forums
Why it matters: when a pack auto-opens the moment you log in, you lose all control over timing. You can't hold tradeable pulls to sell at a market peak, you can't decide which picks to take, and — as the forum report above notes — some players end up unable to save the tradeable cards at all. A tradeable Rivals pack can carry thousands of coins of sellable value; opened for you, on the game's schedule, a chunk of that value slips away. This is very likely what players mean when they say they "lost 500 tokens" or lost their rewards — the items technically landed, but the coin value they were counting on did not.
How to limit the damage:
- Claim manually, the instant rewards drop. The bug tends to trigger when rewards sit unclaimed across a session or a reset. Get in Thursday morning and open everything yourself, in order (picks first, then packs from My Packs).
- Don't leave last week's rewards sitting when the new reset lands — that overlap is when auto-claim strikes most.
- Restart the app before claiming if you see the "Rewards Available" flag behaving oddly; a fresh session sometimes restores manual control.
- If it's already auto-opened tradeables into your club, log it through EA's FC Missing Content / Help flow. Compensation isn't guaranteed for auto-opens, but a support ticket is the only path to a fix, and volume of reports is what pushes EA to patch it.
What about tokens? Season 9 FUTTIES timing
Rivals is one of the main ways you earn FUTTIES Tokens in Season 9 (alongside Squad Battles, Rush, Live Events, and select Objectives/SBCs), capped at 1,000 Tokens per week. Two timing facts protect your tokens:
- The FUTTIES Token Store refreshes on Fridays in Season 9 — EA moved it from Thursday specifically to give you Thursday to claim and spend tokens earned through mode rewards before a new set of offers arrives.
- Tokens you've earned are credited to your balance; they don't vanish at the store refresh — but the offers do rotate. If there's a pack, Evo, or player you want, buy it before Friday or risk it rotating out.
Practical rule: Thursday is claim-and-spend day. Collect Rivals rewards, bank your tokens, and clear anything you want out of the store before the Friday reset. For where to put those tokens, see our Token Store guide.
How do you get the most value from Rivals rewards?
Claiming is only half the job — converting rewards into a better squad is the goal. The high-value moves:
- Sell tradeables fast. Tradeable cards and packs peak in value early in the week and dump after promos. List sellable pulls the day you get them, especially high-rated rares.
- Save picks for the right week. Red player picks refresh with the current campaign (Season 9 = FUTTIES), so an 85+ pick during a strong promo week is worth more than during a dead one.
- Feed untradeables into SBCs. Anything you can't sell becomes fodder — plow it into value SBCs instead of leaving it to rot.
- Turn coins into the team you want. Weekly Rivals + Champions coins are your dependable income floor. If you'd rather skip the grind and get straight to a competitive squad, that's where a coin top-up or a Champions boost saves you weeks.
Skip the grind — get straight to the squad you want:

Frequently Asked Questions
What time do Rivals rewards come out in EA FC 26? Division Rivals rewards release every Thursday morning, around 08:00 UK time (~07:00 UTC), on the weekly reset. The exact minute shifts slightly week to week, and EA notes rewards can take up to 24 hours to fully appear, so a short delay is normal.
Why did EA FC 26 auto-claim my Rivals rewards? A known FC 26 bug force-opens unclaimed Rivals rewards, depositing tradeable cards into your club as untradeable so you can't sell them. It usually triggers when rewards sit unclaimed across a session or reset. Claim manually the moment rewards drop, and report auto-opens through EA Help's FC Missing Content flow.
My Rivals rewards are not showing — are they gone? Almost never. First restart Ultimate Team, then restart your console or PC. EA says rewards can take up to 24 hours to appear. If they're still missing after a full day, contact EA Help with your account details so they can restore them.
Do Rivals rewards or FUTTIES tokens expire? Earned tokens stay on your balance and don't vanish at the weekly reset, but the FUTTIES Token Store offers rotate every Friday in Season 9, so spend before then. Unopened reward packs sit safely in "My Packs" until you open them — unless the auto-claim bug opens them for you.
How many Rivals Points do I need for rewards in FC 26? You need 15 Rivals Points for base weekly rewards and 30 Points (about 10 wins) to unlock the upgraded/bonus tier. Below 15 Points, there are no rewards to claim that week.
Are Rivals rewards worth grinding at the end of the FC 26 cycle? Yes — weekly Rivals coins and packs are your most reliable income, and Season 9 rewards carry over into FC 27 (redeemable in early October). If you're short on time before FC 27, a coin top-up or Champions boost gets you to a finished squad without the weekend grind.
