TL;DR: You get Follie in Warframe from Follie's Hunt, the mission on the Vesper Relay node on Venus. Her main, Neuroptics, Chassis and Systems blueprints each drop at 5% from Rotation A (6% on the Steel Path), according to DE's drop tables. Every clear also pays Atramentum, and Aspirant Zorba sells the full set for 2,400 Atramentum (1,200 main + 400 per part). You unlock the node by finishing Chains of Harrow. Current for Update 44.1 (Iceblade of Narin: The Icebind), Hotfix 44.1.3.
Follie has been out since March, and people are still asking how to get her. On r/Warframe on October 26, 2026, one player said they'd put off farming her "for months" and regretted waiting. Another asked whether to just pay 500–600 Platinum for her and her rifle, because the mode felt exhausting. The usual complaint is that the farm feels endless.
It doesn't have to. Follie's farm has a safety net like Dante's and Citrine's: the drops are random, but the Atramentum you earn on every clear adds up to a guaranteed purchase. This guide covers how to unlock Follie's Hunt, how the mission works, the exact drop tables, how many runs a set really takes, Zorba's shop, and every crafting resource. Drop rates come from DE's official drop tables, last updated October 22, 2026.
Where do you get Follie in Warframe?
Follie arrived on March 25, 2026 in Update 42: The Shadowgrapher. DE's patch notes introduce her as "Our 64th Warframe Follie, the merry, macabre Shadowgrapher." She has no Prime yet. You can get her three ways:
| Method | What you need | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Follie's Hunt drops | Rotation A reward on Vesper Relay | Time (5% per blueprint, 6% on Steel Path) |
| Aspirant Zorba's shop | Atramentum from Follie's Hunt | 1,200 (main) + 400 × 3 (parts) = 2,400 |
| In-game Market | Platinum | 370 Platinum for the built frame (wiki Market price) |
Most players end up mixing the first two: take whatever blueprints drop, then spend Atramentum on the ones you're missing. That's much faster than either method alone (see the run math below).
How do you unlock Follie's Hunt?
You need one quest: Chains of Harrow. DE's Update 42 notes say it plainly: "Once you've completed the Chains of Harrow Quest, a new playable node on the Vesper Relay will appear on Venus for you to play Follie's Hunt." The same quest unlocks Aspirant Zorba, who "will only appear once you've completed The Chains of Harrow quest."
To start Chains of Harrow you need:
- The War Within completed.
- A visit to Onkko in Cetus (where you get your first Amp).
Older guides say you need to clear Mot in the Void. That's out of date. DE's Update 35.5 notes "Removed the Mot requirement from Chains of Harrow Quest and replaced it with the requirement to visit Onkko in Cetus." Chains of Harrow is solo-only, and it also gives you Harrow's main blueprint, so you're getting two frames' worth of progress.
How does Follie's Hunt work?
Follie's Hunt takes place in the wrecked Vesper Relay. Your job is to fill three Shadowgraph canvases with paint while Follie hunts your squad. The rules, from the official WARFRAME Wiki:
- Canvases aren't marked. Canvas A is always in the upper-floor concourse. Canvas B is in one of the upper side rooms or the hangar entrance. Canvas C is always on the lower floor.
- Paint comes from golden vessels. You only see them on your HUD within 5 meters. Each canvas needs 2 paint solo, up to 6 in a full squad.
- Carrying paint puts you in your Operator or Drifter. You can't Void Sling or use Transference until you deliver. Delivery takes about 4 seconds.
- Nothing spawns until someone grabs paint. Follie herself appears once the first paint is delivered. She drains health and shields within 5 meters. You can shoot her to make her retreat, but she comes back.
- The relay gets worse as you progress. Random modifiers stack up: bigger enemies, Follie clones, ink balloons, sealed doors. Drip, Drip, Drip is guaranteed at 50% progress and adds permanent ink walls that the minimap doesn't show.
The route that saves the most time
Before you touch any paint, run the relay and find all three canvases. No enemies spawn until someone picks up paint, so scouting is free. Then:
- Do Canvas B first. Drip, Drip, Drip walls make B the hardest to reach late in the run.
- Leave Canvas A until late. It's always in the open concourse.
- Solo exception from the wiki: half-fill C, then do B, then A, and finish C last. B is done before the ink walls show up, and you only fight your way to C once at the end.
- Sprint and use Void Mode at the same time while carrying paint. You stay invulnerable and move faster.
What are Follie's drop rates?
Each successful run gives you one Rotation A roll plus a guaranteed Rotation B stack of Atramentum. Here's DE's normal-mode Rotation A table:
| Rotation A reward (normal) | Drop chance |
|---|---|
| 1,000 Endo | 17.50% |
| 3,000 Credits Cache | 12.50% |
| Follie Blueprint | 5.00% |
| Follie Neuroptics Blueprint | 5.00% |
| Follie Chassis Blueprint | 5.00% |
| Follie Systems Blueprint | 5.00% |
| Enkaus Blueprint / Barrel / Receiver / Stock | 5.00% each |
| Six Relay Syndicate Medallions | 5.00% each |
On the Steel Path, every Follie and Enkaus blueprint goes up to 6%, the Endo becomes 3,000 (15%), the Credits become a 10,000 cache (9%), and each medallion drops to 4.67%. Rotation B is 15 Atramentum on normal and 25 on the Steel Path, every time.
That means any Follie part has a 20% chance per normal run and 24% per Steel Path run. The catch is that duplicates are common, because each roll is just as likely to repeat a part you already own.
The drop table also lists a Rotation C (Nightmare Tatters). Ignore it. Rotation C only existed during Operation: Atramentum, which ran from April 2 to April 30, 2026.
How much Atramentum do you get per run?
Atramentum is the safety net, so it's worth knowing where it comes from. Per the wiki's Atramentum page:
- End of mission: 15 (normal) or 25 (Steel Path), guaranteed.
- Atramentum Balloons: 12 per run, each worth 2–4 (normal) or 3–6 (Steel Path). They only break from weapon damage, not abilities. They don't appear until Follie starts hunting, so you can't scout them.
- Enemies: a small chance to drop 1.
Balloon Atramentum is shared with your whole squad. DE changed that in Hotfix 42.0.2, which also raised the end-of-mission payout: "Increased the amount of Atramentum rewarded at the end of mission to 15 on Normal Path (was 5) and 25 on Steel Path (was 10)." Enemy drops are still personal.
Atramentum isn't boosted by Resource Boosters, Resourceful Retriever or Loyal Retriever, so don't waste a booster on it. If you pop every balloon, a normal run averages roughly 51 Atramentum and a Steel Path run roughly 79.
How many runs does Follie take?
We ran a 200,000-trial simulation for each row using DE's drop rates and the wiki's Atramentum numbers. It assumes you pop all 12 balloons, that each balloon's payout is equally likely anywhere in its range, and that you buy missing parts as soon as your Atramentum covers all of them. It ignores the small, unshared enemy drops, so real runs are slightly faster.
| Strategy | Normal: average / median / unlucky 10% | Steel Path: average / median / unlucky 10% |
|---|---|---|
| Drops only | 41.6 / 37 / 72 runs | 34.7 / 31 / 60 runs |
| Zorba only (2,400 Atramentum) | ~48 runs | ~31 runs |
| Hybrid (drops + Zorba) | 19.0 / 16 / 31 runs | 14.1 / 13 / 21 runs |
If you miss about a quarter of the balloons, the hybrid numbers only slip to 20.8 (normal) and 15.4 (Steel Path) runs on average. Buying everything with Atramentum costs a lot more: about 58 normal runs.
So the answer to "how hard is it to get Follie" is: a median of 13 runs on the Steel Path or 16 runs on normal if you use both methods. The unluckiest 10% of players need 21+ (Steel Path) or 31+ (normal). Steel Path is clearly better if your gear can handle it. Our Steel Path guide covers how to unlock it.
The key rule: don't buy parts the moment you can afford one. Wait until your Atramentum covers everything you're missing, then buy. If you buy early, a drop can duplicate a part you just paid for.
What does Aspirant Zorba sell for Atramentum?
Zorba is in every relay, standing outside the Arbiters of Hexis room. Your Arbiters standing doesn't matter. He's there even at a negative rank. His prices, from the wiki:
| Item | Atramentum |
|---|---|
| Follie Blueprint | 1,200 |
| Follie Neuroptics / Chassis / Systems Blueprint | 400 each |
| Enkaus Blueprint | 1,200 |
| Enkaus Barrel / Receiver / Stock Blueprint | 400 each |
| Chromatic Atramentum (cosmetic Atragraph mods) | 360 |
| Truth's Flame (mod) | 360 |
| Follie Prex card / Haunted Vesper Relay Scene | 600 each |
| Kuva (6,000) | 500 |
| Somachord tones (Drip, Stained Vespers, Dreadnaught) | 200 each |
The Enkaus is Follie's signature beam rifle. It's in the same Rotation A pool, so you'll usually finish the Enkaus parts on the same runs. Its alt-fire applies her Inkblot, and the Update 42 notes say it can "instantly kill and dissolve inked enemies that are low health." That makes it worth getting for Mastery if nothing else.
What resources do you need to build Follie?
You'll need 75,000 Credits and the materials below. Prices and recipes come from the wiki's blueprint data:
| Blueprint | Credits | Resources | Build time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Follie (main) | 30,000 | Neuroptics, Chassis, Systems + 3 Orokin Cells | 72 hours (rush 50p) |
| Neuroptics | 15,000 | 2 Neurodes, 3 Gallium, 150 Cryotic, 2 Neural Sensors | 12 hours (rush 25p) |
| Chassis | 15,000 | 800 Alloy Plate, 2 Argon Crystals, 800 Ferrite, 600 Salvage | 12 hours (rush 25p) |
| Systems | 15,000 | 250 Circuits, 500 Polymer Bundle, 4 Morphics, 50 Oxium | 12 hours (rush 25p) |
Three resources slow most people down:
- Argon Crystals decay over time, so farm them right before you build the Chassis. See how to get Argon Crystals.
- Orokin Cells are used everywhere. If you're short, here's where to farm them.
- Oxium drops from Corpus Oxium Ospreys. The 50 you need goes quickly on an Oxium-heavy node.
Start building the parts as soon as each blueprint is in hand. The 72-hour main build is the real wait, and one r/Warframe player who bought her outright did it because they "didn't want to wait that first 3 days to try."
Is Follie worth farming?
Yes, especially if you play in a squad. She's a crowd-control and support frame: 585 health, 325 shields, 325 armor and 225 energy at rank 30, per DE's Follie page. Her kit:
- Passive (Inkblot): her abilities ink enemies, slowing them 50% for 10 seconds. Inked enemies have a 20% chance on death to drop 3 Health and Energy Orbs.
- Forced Perspective: move to an ink pool, become invulnerable and cleanse status effects.
- Shadowgraph: draw useful tools and objects, including mission-specific items.
- Self Portrait: an ink effigy that gives your squad Damage Reduction and grows as you kill enemies in its pool.
- Plein Air: tie enemies to balloons, strip their armor and shields, then pop them for fall damage.
Players who stuck with her mostly praise how flexible she is. As one player in the same r/Warframe thread put her loadout: "Electric Traps, Explosive barrels and an RPG to taste when an Acolyte shows up." Others found her fun but not for them. That's normal for a utility frame.
Is Self Portrait a good Helminth ability?
Self Portrait is the ability Follie gives to the Helminth. DE's notes say the subsumed version has its "Damage Reduction cap at 75%, and Inkblot will not be applied on enemies." That's a solid damage-reduction option for frames with no defensive ability. Compare it against the other options in our best Helminth abilities to subsume list.
Which frames are best for Follie's Hunt?
The mission drains energy and punishes standing still, so the wiki recommends:
- Frames that don't use energy: Lavos, Hildryn.
- Tanky or self-healing frames: Dante, Rhino, Inaros, Wisp, Kullervo, Grendel.
- Yareli on Merulina: fast and immune to Follie's energy drain (though paint pools dismount you).
- Focus: Unairu, for Operator survivability and knockdown immunity while you carry paint.
If you don't have Dante yet, here's how to farm him.
Can you buy Follie with Platinum instead?
Yes. The Market sells Follie for 370 Platinum, according to the wiki's Market data. You can't trade for her: non-Prime Warframes and their blueprints aren't tradeable, so spare parts from your runs can't be sold to other players.
If you want Platinum without spending money, you can earn it by trading Prime parts, relics and mods with other players through the in-game Trading Post. Our how to make Platinum guide walks through it. Only buy Platinum from DE or its authorized retailers. DE's support site calls third-party Platinum sellers "not legitimate," and its EULA bans secondary markets for game currency.
What do players get wrong about the Follie farm?
- "I need to clear Mot first." Not since Update 35.5. The requirement is The War Within plus a visit to Onkko.
- "Boosters speed up Atramentum." They don't. Resource Boosters and Retriever mods don't affect it.
- "Abilities can pop the balloons." They can't. Use your gun.
- "Rotation C still drops Nightmare Tatters." Only during Operation: Atramentum, which ended April 30, 2026.
- "Buy each part as soon as you can afford it." That's how you end up with duplicates. Save until Atramentum covers every missing blueprint.
FAQ
How do you get Follie in Warframe? Play Follie's Hunt on the Vesper Relay node on Venus. All four blueprints drop from Rotation A at 5% each (6% on the Steel Path), according to DE's drop tables (October 22, 2026). Or buy them from Aspirant Zorba for 2,400 Atramentum in total. You need Chains of Harrow finished first.
What is Follie's drop rate? 5% each for the main, Neuroptics, Chassis and Systems blueprints on normal, and 6% each on the Steel Path, from Rotation A. That's a 20% (normal) or 24% (Steel Path) chance per run to get some Follie part.
How much Atramentum do you need for Follie? 2,400: 1,200 for the main blueprint and 400 for each of the three parts. A full Steel Path run with every balloon popped averages about 79 Atramentum.
How long does it take to get Follie? Using both drops and Zorba, the median is 16 normal runs or 13 Steel Path runs in our simulation, plus the 72-hour main build.
Is Follie free in Warframe? Yes. Everything drops in-game in Follie's Hunt, and Zorba sells her blueprints for Atramentum instead of Platinum. The Market sells her for 370 Platinum if you'd rather skip the farm.
Is there a Follie Prime? Not yet. As of Update 44.1, Follie has no Prime version. The current Prime Access is Citrine Prime.
What quest do you need for Follie? Chains of Harrow. To start it, finish The War Within and visit Onkko in Cetus.
