How to Get Dante in Warframe: Armatus Drop Rates & Vessel Capillaries

TL;DR: You get Dante in Warframe from Armatus, a Disruption mission in Albrecht's Laboratories on Deimos. His main blueprint (6.82%) and Neuroptics, Chassis and Systems blueprints (4.55% each) all drop from Rotation C, according to DE's drop tables. You unlock Armatus by finishing The Deadlock Protocol and Whispers in the Walls. If RNG stalls, Loid in the Sanctum Anatomica sells the full set for 540 Vessel Capillaries, which every Demolisher you kill on Armatus drops. Current for Update 44.1 (Iceblade of Narin: The Icebind), Hotfix 44.1.3.

Dante is one of the best support frames in the game right now. His Light Verse gives your whole squad Overguard and heals them, his Pageflight birds make enemies take more Status damage, and Tragedy pops every Slash, Heat and Toxin tick at once. That's why "how to get Dante" keeps showing up in search more than two years after he launched.

The good news is that his farm has a safety net. You don't need to win the RNG. This guide covers how to unlock Armatus, how Disruption rotations actually work (they don't follow the normal AABC pattern), the exact drop rates, the Loid shop, how many rounds a full set really takes, and every crafting resource. Drop rates come from DE's official drop tables, last updated October 22, 2026.

Where do you get Dante in Warframe?

Dante came out on March 27, 2024 in Update 35.5, Dante Unbound, as the 56th Warframe. There's no Dante Prime yet. You can get him three ways:

MethodWhat you needCost
Armatus dropsRotation C rewards in Armatus DisruptionTime (6.82% main, 4.55% per part)
Loid's shopVessel Capillaries from Armatus Demolishers270 (main) + 90 × 3 (parts) = 540
In-game MarketPlatinum350 Platinum for the built frame (wiki Market price)

DE's own Update 35.5 patch notes list all three: the blueprints drop in Armatus, they "can also be acquired at Loid in the Sanctum Anatomica using Vessel Capillaries (earned from Armatus)", and Dante "is available for Platinum individually or as part of the Dante Collection."

Most players should mix the first two. You earn Vessel Capillaries on every round anyway, so every Rotation C drop just lowers what you still have to buy.

How do you unlock Armatus?

Armatus is locked behind two quests. DE spelled it out in the patch notes:

"How to Unlock Node: Complete The Deadlock Protocol and the Whispers in the Walls Quests. This is due to the fact that they provide substantial lore context to the mission!" — Digital Extremes, Update 35.5 patch notes

Here's the chain, according to the WARFRAME Wiki:

  • The Deadlock Protocol. Needs Mastery Rank 4 and the Saturn Junction. You start it from the Codex.
  • Whispers in the Walls. Needs Heart of Deimos and The New War completed.
  • Armatus opens. Launch it from the Star Chart on Deimos or from the Laboratory Navigation console in the Sanctum Anatomica.

If you've already done Whispers in the Walls (it's also what unlocks the Netracells in our Archon Shards guide), you only need to check The Deadlock Protocol. It's a short quest, and plenty of players skip it on the way to the bigger story beats.

How does Armatus Disruption work?

Armatus is a Murmur Disruption mission inside Albrecht's Laboratories. The loop is the same as regular Disruption, with a few Entrati twists:

  • Four Conduits spawn each round. You need a key, called a Docket here, to activate each one.
  • Gruzzlings carry Dockets. These flying Murmur thieves always drop a Docket when killed in Disruption. Any enemy can also drop one.
  • Activating a Conduit spawns a Demolisher. On Armatus it's a Demolisher Bonewidow or Demolisher Voidrig. It runs at the Conduit, and you have 2:00 to stop it.
  • Each Conduit applies an effect. Three are debuffs, one is a buff. A destroyed Conduit keeps its debuff until the round ends.

One useful quirk from the Disruption wiki page: unlike normal Demolishers, the Armatus Bonewidow and Voidrig do not pulse the ability-nullifying red aura. Your abilities keep working near them.

Another tip from the same page: if you see a Pom-2 you can hack, do it. It summons a Necramech, and a Voidrig's Guard Mode bursts a Demolisher down fast.

What are Dante's drop rates?

Every Dante blueprint is a Rotation C reward on Armatus. Here's DE's table:

RewardRotationDrop chance
Dante BlueprintC6.82%
Dante Neuroptics BlueprintC4.55%
Dante Chassis BlueprintC4.55%
Dante Systems BlueprintC4.55%
Axi relics (S21, D6, V14, C12, C13, A21, A22)C9.09% each
1,200 EndoC15.91%
Ruvox Blueprint, Blade, Glove / Onos BlueprintB5.00% each

Source: warframe.com/droptables, Deimos/Armatus (Disruption), updated October 22, 2026.

That's a 20.47% chance of some Dante blueprint on each Rotation C reward, and the main blueprint is the "easy" one. Rotation B gives you Dante's signature weapon, the Ruvox Incarnon fists, and the Onos pistol.

Why Disruption rotations are different

Disruption doesn't use the AABC pattern of other endless missions. Your reward tier depends on which round you're in and how many Conduits you saved. The wiki's table:

Round1 saved2 saved3 saved4 saved
1AAAB
2AABB
3ABBC
4+BBCC

So if your squad saves all four Conduits every round, you get B, B, then C every round from Round 3 on. Lose one Conduit in Round 3 and you drop to a B reward. From Round 4 on, three saved Conduits still give C, but every Demolisher you kill is also Capillaries, so aim to save all four.

How many runs does Dante take?

On drops alone, it's a grind. We ran a 200,000-trial simulation on DE's four drop rates: collecting all four blueprints takes about 42 Rotation C rewards on average, with a median of 37 and an unlucky 10% needing 74 or more. That's mostly the three 4.55% parts fighting each other.

Vessel Capillaries change the math. Here's what DE's Hotfix 35.5.2 notes say each Demolisher drops:

  • Normal: 2–4 Vessel Capillaries per Demolisher
  • Steel Path: 5–7 Vessel Capillaries per Demolisher

A perfect round kills four Demolishers. That works out to roughly 8–16 Capillaries per round on normal and 20–28 on the Steel Path. Buying the whole set (540) outright would take around 45 perfect rounds on normal or about 23 on the Steel Path.

The smart play is to do both at once. Keep running Armatus, take whatever blueprints drop, and spend Capillaries on the rest. In our simulation of that hybrid approach (100,000 runs on DE's four drop rates, Capillaries rolled evenly across 2–4 or 5–7 per Demolisher, four Demolishers killed every round, Rotation C from Round 3, and Capillaries held until they cover every blueprint you're still missing):

ModeAverage rounds to a full setMedianUnlucky 10%
Normal~181628+
Steel Path~131219+

Our estimate, built from DE's drop rates and the per-Demolisher Capillary counts above. Real numbers move with failed Conduits and squad play.

Verdict: if you have the Steel Path unlocked and a frame that survives it, run Armatus there. It cuts the farm by about a third. Check our best Warframes for the Steel Path if you need a pick.

What does Loid sell for Vessel Capillaries?

The Sanctum Anatomica hub on Deimos, where Loid sells Dante's blueprints for Vessel Capillaries

Loid's Vessel Capillaries shop sits in the Sanctum Anatomica, the Entrati lab hub you reach through Whispers in the Walls. According to the wiki's Loid page), it stocks:

ItemVessel Capillaries
Dante Blueprint270
Dante Neuroptics / Chassis / Systems Blueprint90 each
Onos Blueprint360
Ruvox Blueprint180
Ruvox Blade / Glove Blueprint45 each
Riven Transmuter180
100,000 Credits180
Dante's Retreat / The Abandoned Vessel Captura scenes100 each
Sanctum Simulacrum75

The wiki totals it at 1,260 Capillaries for every Mastery item (Dante, Onos, Ruvox), plus another 540 if you want a second Dante to feed to the Helminth.

Two rules worth knowing before you plan around Capillaries:

  • Boosters don't help. The Vessel Capillaries wiki page says Resource Boosters and Resourceful Retriever don't affect them.
  • Hold your Capillaries. Don't buy parts one at a time. A blueprint you buy early can still drop later, and that duplicate is wasted. Keep farming until your stack covers everything you're still missing, then buy it all at once. That's the strategy behind the round counts above.

What resources do you need to build Dante?

All four recipes come from the wiki's blueprint data. Every component takes 15,000 Credits and 12 hours. The main blueprint takes 25,000 Credits, 3 Orokin Cells and 72 hours (rush: 50 Platinum).

ComponentResources
Neuroptics3 Entrati Lanthorn, 10 Control Module, 4 Bellow Voca, 4 Neural Sensors
Chassis2 Entrati Lanthorn, 8,000 Alloy Plate, 12,000 Entrati Obols, 2,000 Plastids
Systems3 Entrati Lanthorn, 4,000 Circuits, 9,000 Entrati Obols, 450 Necracoil
Dante (main)Neuroptics, Chassis, Systems, 3 Orokin Cell

That's 8 Entrati Lanthorns and 21,000 Entrati Obols in total, and they're what catch most people out.

  • Entrati Lanthorn: a guaranteed drop from every Netracell run, and still drops after your 5 weekly runs. Outside Disruption, killed Gruzzlings can also drop 3 Lanthorns (on Armatus they drop Dockets instead).
  • Entrati Obols: dropped by enemies across Albrecht's Laboratories. Running Armatus for Dante builds a stack naturally.
  • Necracoil: an uncommon Laboratories drop from enemies and storage containers.
  • Bellow Voca: found as pickups in any Laboratories mission, from Tier 3–4 Fibonacci bounties, and one every 8 hours from Loid. The wiki recommends the Nex Exterminate node for hunting them.
  • Orokin Cells: see our Orokin Cells farming guide.

Is Dante worth farming?

Official Digital Extremes concept art of Dante in his gold and white scribe robes, casting with one hand

Yes, especially if you play in groups. Here's his kit, per the wiki:

  • Passive: your weapons get +50% Status Chance against enemies fully scanned into your Codex. His tome, Noctua, does the scanning for you.
  • Noctua (1): summons his tome as an Exalted secondary. Its shots ricochet.
  • Light Verse (2): grants Overguard to Dante and nearby allies and restores their Health.
  • Dark Verse (3): a two-stroke cone of guaranteed Slash status.
  • Final Verse (4): combines your last two Verses. Triumph (2+2) gives Overguard on kills. Tragedy (3+3) detonates Slash, Heat and Toxin damage over time in one blast. Wordwarden summons a Noctua for each ally. Pageflight sends invulnerable Paragrimm birds that raise Status Chance and Status Damage vulnerability.

Tragedy is strong enough that DE put a 1 billion damage cap on it in Hotfix 35.5.6, which the patch notes call "our highest damage cap in the game, a testament to how powerful Pageflight and Tragedy can be with the right setup."

Helminth note: Dante's subsumable ability is Dark Verse. Some players farm a second copy just for it. If that's you, you can buy a second copy of the same four blueprints from Loid for another 540 Capillaries. See our best Helminth abilities to subsume guide and the Helminth unlock guide.

Can you buy Dante with Platinum instead?

Yes. The Market sells Dante for 350 Platinum, according to the wiki's Market data, and he's also in the Dante Collection bundle. If you want Platinum without spending money, you can earn it by trading with other players through the in-game Trading Post. Our how to make Platinum guide covers that.

Only buy Platinum from DE or its authorized retailers. DE's support site calls third-party Platinum sellers "not legitimate," and its EULA bans secondary markets for game currency.

What do players get wrong about the Dante farm?

  • "Just rotate out after Round 3." Disruption rewards C on Round 3 only if all four Conduits survive. One slip drops you to B.
  • "Boosters speed up Capillaries." They don't. Resource Boosters and Resourceful Retriever don't affect Vessel Capillaries.
  • "Buy each part as soon as you can afford it." That's how you end up with duplicates. Hold Capillaries until they cover every missing blueprint, then buy.
  • "I can't find Armatus." You need both The Deadlock Protocol and Whispers in the Walls. Missing the first one is the usual reason.

FAQ

How do you get Dante in Warframe? Play Armatus Disruption on Deimos. All four blueprints drop from Rotation C, according to DE's drop tables (October 22, 2026). Or buy them from Loid in the Sanctum Anatomica for 540 Vessel Capillaries in total. You need The Deadlock Protocol and Whispers in the Walls finished first.

What is Dante's drop rate? 6.82% for the main blueprint and 4.55% each for Neuroptics, Chassis and Systems, all from Rotation C of Armatus. Using drops alone, a full set takes about 42 Rotation C rewards on average.

How many Vessel Capillaries do you need for Dante? 540: 270 for the main blueprint and 90 for each of the three parts. Demolishers drop 2–4 each on normal and 5–7 on the Steel Path.

Is Dante free in Warframe? Yes. Everything you need drops in-game on Armatus, and you can buy his blueprints from Loid with Vessel Capillaries instead of Platinum. The Market sells him for 350 Platinum if you'd rather skip the farm.

Is there a Dante Prime? Not yet. As of Update 44.1, Dante has no Prime version. The current Prime Access is Citrine Prime.

What quest do you need for Dante? Two: The Deadlock Protocol (Mastery Rank 4, Saturn Junction) and Whispers in the Walls (Heart of Deimos and The New War). Both unlock the Armatus node.
