The Tower of Khaos is the new 50-battle event tower that came with Mortal Kombat Mobile Update 7.4. It's where you earn the new Khaos equipment, and clearing its last floor can drop Diamond MK1 Noob Saibot. It's also the tower filling r/mkxmobile with "stuck on battle 38" threads. This guide covers how the tower works, every boss floor, what the two fight modifiers do to your team, which gear to put on, and how to plan your attempts and repeat clears.
Quick answer (checked October 24, 2026): The Tower of Khaos has 50 battles, with a boss fight every 5th floor (10 bosses). Every boss floor has two modifiers: Boss (a time limit; opponents are immune to damage-over-time and their equipment can't be destroyed or disabled) and Mayhem ("Buffs and debuffs shifting!"). Beating battle 50 pays out one Khaos Epic or a random Epic, plus MK1 Noob Saibot or another Diamond. Noob is a chance, not a guarantee. The tower resets after each clear so you can farm it again, and its 7 equipment pieces get huge stat boosts that only work inside this tower.
What is the Tower of Khaos in MK Mobile?
It's a limited-time event tower added in the Halloween update. WB's Update 7.4 patch notes describe it like this:
"Battle through the 50-battle tower to face powerful bosses, along with the new Mayhem Fight Modifier! … Konquer the final battle to earn Tower of Khaos Equipment, with a chance to add MK1 Noob Saibot to your kollection." — WB Games, Update 7.4 patch notes
The key numbers:
| Detail | Value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Battles | 50 | WB 7.4 patch notes |
| Boss floors | 10 (battles 5, 10, 15 … 50) | MK Mobile Base floor data, game version 7.4.0 |
| Start date | October 14, 2026 | WB 7.4 announcement art ("New Tower — Starts 10.14") |
| New equipment | 7 pieces (4 Epic, 3 Rare) | WB 7.4 patch notes + equipment sheet |
| Headline drop | Diamond MK1 Noob Saibot (chance) | WB 7.4 patch notes |
| Repeatable | Yes, the tower resets after each clear | WB Event Tower & Equipment Guide |
Don't mix it up with the classic towers. Most event towers are "usually up to 200 battles" with Regular and Fatal versions, according to WB's Event Tower guide. The Tower of Khaos is a single 50-battle tower, so old 200-battle Fatal tower advice doesn't carry over directly.
It's also not running alone. WB's 7.4 art shows the Tower of Horror and Nightmare Tower returning on October 21, which is why players have been calling this "triple tower" week.
How many attempts do you get in the Tower of Khaos?
WB's general event tower rule is 5 attempts every 12 hours, rechargeable twice, for a maximum of 15. In-game, recharges cost Souls. WB also notes that "some events may affect the number of attempts/recharges", so check the timer on the tower card in-game rather than assuming.
What this means in practice:
- The first 30 or so floors go quickly if your roster is solid. Recent r/mkxmobile threads put the real wall in the high 30s and 40s, not the early boss floors.
- Spend Soul recharges where they buy a clear. A recharge only gives you more tries, so it pays off when you're close on a floor and the event clock is the limit. Early floors you'll beat anyway with free attempts. A wall floor your roster can't damage won't fall to five more tries either. Fix the team or gear first, then pay for attempts. If you're aiming for several clears before the event ends, recharges can also be worth it to keep your run pace up.
- Rewards repeat. WB says "every time you beat a tower it will reset and you can continue to earn the exclusive rewards." Players are already posting their sixth and seventh clears, and one r/mkxmobile post is titled "Khaos Tower Battle 300 Reward", which is six full runs.
What do the Boss and Mayhem modifiers do?
All 10 boss floors carry the same two modifiers. Their in-game text, as recorded in MK Mobile Base floor data for game version 7.4.0:
- Boss: "Win before time expires! Opponents are immune to DOT effects, and their equipment can't be destroyed or disabled."
- Mayhem: "Buffs and debuffs shifting!"
What Boss does to your team. DOT means damage over time: Bleed, Poison, Fire and similar ticking effects. On boss floors those ticks do nothing to the opponent. Teams built around stacking Bleed or Poison will hit a wall on every fifth floor. Effects that destroy or disable equipment also do nothing to bosses. That includes MK1 Noob Saibot's own Desecration, so don't build your boss plan around it. Add the time limit and the answer is burst damage: unblockables, power gain and big special attacks.
What Mayhem does. WB hasn't published anything beyond the one-line description, and patch notes only call it the "new Mayhem Fight Modifier." In practice, the safe approach is to avoid teams that depend on one specific buff staying up for the whole fight. Bring characters that hit hard on their own and can recover if a buff flips. Don't treat any "Mayhem rule" you see on social media as confirmed until WB documents it.
Who are the Tower of Khaos bosses?
Here's the boss lineup for every fifth battle, from MK Mobile Base floor data for game version 7.4.0 (a fan-run database, not WB). Lineups can be adjusted in later hotfixes, so check the preview screen before committing a team.
| Battle | Boss team |
|---|---|
| 5 | Klassic Jade, Klassic Kabal, Pyromancer Tanya |
| 10 | Edenian Blood Kitana, Edenian Blood Sindel, Warlock Quan Chi |
| 15 | Klassic Noob Saibot, Darkest Knight Noob Saibot, Lizard Noob Saibot |
| 20 | Klassic Goro, Klassic Shang Tsung, Klassic Sub-Zero |
| 25 | Fire God Liu Kang, Injustice 2 Raiden, MK1 Geras |
| 30 | Nightmare Jason Voorhees, Nightmare Ghostface, Nightmare Leatherface |
| 35 | MK11 Scorpion, MK11 Jade, MK11 Noob Saibot |
| 40 | Circle of Shadow Liu Kang, Circle of Shadow Nightwolf, Circle of Shadow Sub-Zero |
| 45 | Assassin Mileena, Assassin Kitana, Assassin Jade |
| 50 | MK1 Noob Saibot, MK1 Sub-Zero, MK1 Geras |
Two floors deserve extra prep:
- Battle 45 (Assassins). 7.4 added Assassin Mileena and buffed Assassin Kitana, whose new synergy reads: "All Assassin characters get 20% unblockable chance and generate 30% more Power." With three Assassins on one boss team, expect them to fill power bars fast. Kill the first one quickly instead of trading blows.
- Battle 50 (MK1 trio). You face the same Noob Saibot you're trying to win. WB says MK1 Noob "traps enemies inside a Void Rift and prevents them from tagging out," and "when defeated, Noob explodes, dealing damage to all opponents." Don't let your tag-out plan depend on swapping a low-health fighter out while he's active, and keep enough health on your next fighter to survive the explosion.
Which non-boss floors are hardest?
The boss floors aren't the only walls. Recent r/mkxmobile threads single out battles 38, 39 and 47. Some of the frustration, verbatim:
"I've lost this match almost 150 times now." — u/Clear-Entertainer-76, "Stuck on tower of Khaos 38", October 22, 2026
Another player on battle 47 reached it easily with Homelander, Geras and MK11 Scorpion, then couldn't beat a single opponent. The same floor data shows the trend. It only lists boss floors, but every boss team from battle 10 on carries Khaos gear, and from battle 35 every boss fighter wears both Banshee's Fatal Thrust and Khaotizator. The fix is more Khaos gear on your own team, since those Tower-only boosts dwarf normal upgrades, not grinding the same team harder.
Which Tower of Khaos equipment should you use?
The tower has 7 pieces of equipment: 4 Epic and 3 Rare. Every piece carries a "Tower of Khaos only" stat boost, which is where most of your damage and health will come from inside this tower. Stats below are at max fusion (X), from WB's official equipment sheet.
| Equipment | Rarity / slot | Tower-only boost (max) | Key effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Banshee's Fatal Thrust | Epic weapon | +600% Damage | 15% chance for Sneak Attack on Basic hits; Sindel set piece |
| Khaotizator | Epic armor | +600% Max Health | 50% chance to halve Special Attack and Fatal Blow damage; once-per-match Invulnerability on fatal damage |
| Havik's Patronage | Epic accessory | +150% Damage, +300% Max Health | On tag-in, Havik throws a severed hand; if it hits, a 15-second Brawl starts (neither fighter can tag out by choice, both drop to 0 Toughness) |
| Mercenary Bandolier | Epic accessory | +225% Damage, +450% Max Health | 40% chance to apply Curse on any Special Attack; Spawn set piece |
| Mercenary Assault Rifle | Rare weapon | +300% Damage | 45% unblockable chance on Basic Attacks; Spawn set piece |
| Khaos Ignition | Rare accessory | +225% Damage, +450% Max Health | 20% chance to apply Fear on Combo Ender; Fire on opponent tag-out |
| Banshee's Majestic Aura | Rare armor | +600% Max Health | 70% chance to gain Dispel on any Special Attack; Sindel set piece |
How to use that table:
- Equip Khaos gear on everyone you can. You don't need Sindel or Spawn to use these pieces. Lines tagged [SINDEL] or [SPAWN] on WB's sheet, like Banshee's Fatal Thrust's Sindel Fatal Blow or Mercenary Bandolier's Spawn speed boost, plus the Friendship set bonuses, only work on the named fighter. The other effects and the Tower-only boosts work on anyone. A plain Diamond with Fusion X Banshee's Fatal Thrust and Khaotizator gets +600% damage and +600% max health inside this tower.
- Your first Rare pieces come from participation. Floor data lists a random Tower of Khaos Rare Equipment card as the participation reward at levels 5 and 25, so your first clear already starts building the set.
- Banshee's Majestic Aura and Khaos Ignition do different jobs. The Aura gives your own fighter Dispel, which clears debuffs if Mayhem shifts bad effects onto you, and it makes the enemy team need 30% more Power per bar. Khaos Ignition's Fear and Fire help on regular floors. Remember that Fire is a DOT and does nothing to bosses.
Friendship sets. The tower also introduces two Friendships. Equipping Banshee's Fatal Thrust + Banshee's Majestic Aura lets "any DIAMOND or ASCENDED Fusion X Sindel" perform a Friendship. Mercenary Assault Rifle + Mercenary Bandolier does the same for any Diamond Spawn. Per WB's sheet, a Friendship can be performed once "the opponent's Health is below 25% and the Friendship bar is filled up by performing multiple Special Attacks," and it ends the fight immediately.
What are the Tower of Khaos rewards?
MK Mobile Base floor data for game version 7.4.0 lists these participation rewards every five levels:
| Level | Participation reward |
|---|---|
| 5 | Random Tower of Khaos Rare Equipment |
| 10 | Random Gold Character |
| 15 | Random Tower Uncommon card |
| 20 | Random non-challenge Gold Kameo |
| 25 | Random Tower of Khaos Rare Equipment |
| 30 | Random Gold Character |
| 35 | Random Tower Uncommon card |
| 40 | Random Challenge Gold Kameo |
| 45 | Random Diamond Kameo |
| 50 | Tower of Khaos Main Reward |
The Main Reward for beating battle 50 is drawn from two pools, one card from each:
- Reward 1: Banshee's Fatal Thrust, Havik's Patronage, Khaotizator, Mercenary Bandolier, or a random Epic.
- Reward 2: MK1 Noob Saibot or another Diamond card.
WB's wording is "a chance to add MK1 Noob Saibot," and it doesn't publish the exact drop rate. Read Noob as a chance per clear, never a guarantee. Players are posting both outcomes. One celebrated getting Noob on their sixth run, and another titled their clear "Battle 300 Reward (Meh)."
How do you get MK1 Noob Saibot in MK Mobile?
There are two confirmed routes, both from WB's 7.4 patch notes:
- Tower of Khaos: a chance from the Main Reward on every clear of battle 50. Since the tower resets, every extra clear is another roll.
- Season of Shadows Kombat Pass: "Complete the Premium Pass to unlock Diamond MK1 Noob Saibot." Premium+ adds early access to Diamond Assassin Mileena. WB says the next pass, Season of Assassins, starts November 11.
If you own the Premium pass and will finish it, the pass is the guaranteed route. Use the tower for the Khaos Epics, with Noob as a bonus. Without the pass, repeat tower clears are the route WB documents. WB's notes don't say whether he's also in store packs, so check the in-game store's current pack contents before assuming the tower is the only way. Either way, the equipment upgrades from each run are what make the next run cheaper.
What you're chasing, in WB's words: Noob "can temporarily disable Equipment on his active enemy with his exclusive kombat effect, Desecration," traps enemies in a Void Rift so they can't tag out, and explodes on death. That kit should shine in Realm Klash and regular towers. Just remember Desecration won't touch boss gear in this tower.
What team and gear setup works for the wall floors?
There's no single best team, and your roster decides more than any list. This template is built only from effects WB has published:
- Gear on each fighter: Banshee's Fatal Thrust as the weapon (+600% Damage), Khaotizator as the armor (+600% Max Health, 50% chance to halve Special Attack and Fatal Blow damage), and Mercenary Bandolier or Khaos Ignition as the accessory (+225% Damage, +450% Max Health each). If you only own the Rares, use Mercenary Assault Rifle, Banshee's Majestic Aura and Khaos Ignition.
- Team shape for boss floors: fighters who win through direct damage rather than Bleed, Poison or Fire, because the Boss modifier blocks DOT. WB's 7.4 Assassin synergy fits well if you own the cards: Assassin Kitana gives "All Assassin characters … 20% unblockable chance" and 30% more Power, which helps beat the timer.
- What a working run can look like: the battle 47 poster above cleared floors 1 to 46 with Homelander, Geras and MK11 Scorpion. That's a fair benchmark for what an established roster gets through before the late floors spike.
Before using a recharge, check the preview screen for each wall floor and swap in fighters whose damage doesn't rely on DOT.
How should you plan your Tower of Khaos runs?
A simple loop that respects the attempt cap:
- Run 1: push with your best team and collect the Rare Khaos pieces at levels 5 and 25. Free attempts are usually enough for the early floors.
- Gear up: put every Khaos piece you own on your core team. The Tower-only boosts are bigger than almost any normal equipment upgrade you can make between runs.
- Wall floors (38, 39, 45, 47, 50): use DOT-free burst teams on boss floors, and only buy recharges once your team can actually damage the floor.
- Repeat: each clear rolls the Main Reward again. Fusing duplicate Khaos Epics makes every later run easier.
- Watch the clock: WB doesn't list an end date in the patch notes. Check the timer on the tower card and finish your last run before it expires.
Short on time? One r/mkxmobile player summed up the triple-tower week this way:
"Its A Easy Tower With Good Team And Gears Grind As Much As Possible" — u/RichardRay707, "Triple Tower is On Right Now", October 22, 2026
They ranked the Tower of Khaos first of the three towers running this week.
FAQ
How many battles are in the Tower of Khaos? 50. WB's Update 7.4 patch notes call it "the 50-battle tower," with a boss fight on every fifth floor, so 10 bosses in total.
Is MK1 Noob Saibot guaranteed from the Tower of Khaos? No. WB says beating the final battle gives "a chance to add MK1 Noob Saibot." The guaranteed route is completing the Season of Shadows Premium Kombat Pass.
Can you replay the Tower of Khaos? Yes. WB's Event Tower guide says "every time you beat a tower it will reset and you can continue to earn the exclusive rewards," and players are already posting repeat clears.
Why do my Bleed and Poison teams fail on Tower of Khaos boss floors? The Boss modifier makes opponents "immune to DOT effects" and stops their equipment from being destroyed or disabled. Use burst damage and unblockables on boss floors instead.
Does Tower of Khaos equipment work in other modes? The base effects do. The big Damage and Max Health boosts are labelled "Tower of Khaos only," so those disappear outside this tower.
Is the Tower of Khaos the same as a Fatal tower? No. Classic event towers usually run up to 200 battles with Regular and Fatal versions. The Tower of Khaos is a separate 50-battle tower with its own modifiers and gear.
