The current Wuthering Waves banners are still Phase I (Hsin, plus reruns of Chisa and Iuno), and they close on 22 October 2026 at 09:59 server time. The next banner, Version 3.7 Phase II, runs from 22 October 10:00 to 11 November 11:59 server time and has three Featured Resonator Convenes: Suoming (new 5-star Electro Sword, "Nine Deaths, One Unbent Heart"), Lucilla (rerun, "Tomorrow in the Frame") and Lynae (rerun, "Undefined Spectrum"). The 4-star rate-ups on all three are Lumi, Danjin and Chixia. The paired weapon banners are Unspoken Rue, Freeze Frame and Spectrum Blaster, each with a 100% guaranteed featured 5-star weapon. Our short verdict: pull Suoming if you own Hsin, pull Lynae if you own neither and need a flexible support, and pull Lucilla only for Hiyuki or Echo Skill teams. Where we give an opinion on pull value, we say so, and we lean on two established community tier lists rather than inventing our own rankings.
What is the current Wuthering Waves banner?
Until 22 October 2026, the live banners are Version 3.7 Phase I. Kuro's update notice lists their duration as "Version 3.7 Update - 2026-10-22 09:59 (server time)".

That deadline is the most important fact on this page if you are interested in Suoming. As explained below, her kit is built around Hsin, and Hsin's banner leaves the moment Suoming's opens. If you want the pair, you have three days to decide on Hsin.
When does the next Wuthering Waves banner start?
The next banner is Version 3.7 Phase II, and its window is printed in Kuro's official notice: 2026-10-22 10:00 to 2026-11-11 11:59 (server time). That is about 20 days. Version 3.7 itself runs until the 3.8 maintenance on 12 November.

4-star Resonator rate-ups (all three banners): Lumi, Danjin, Chixia. 4-star weapon rate-ups: Overture, Relativistic Jet and Amity Accord on the Phase II weapon banners.
Three things are worth knowing before you spend:
- Pity carries over. Kuro's Convene rules say the guarantee count "is shared among all [Featured Resonator Convene] event banners" and carries over until you get a 5-star. Pulls you make on Hsin now still count toward pity on Suoming's banner.
- All three character banners share one pity counter. Pulling a few times on Lynae and then switching to Suoming does not reset anything, but whichever banner you are on when pity hits decides which 5-star you can get.
- Weapon banners are 100% guaranteed. Every 5-star from the Unspoken Rue, Freeze Frame or Spectrum Blaster banner is that weapon. There is no 50/50 on weapons.
Who is Suoming and what does her kit do?
Suoming is a 5-star Electro Sword Resonator from Mengzhou. Her profile describes her as the founder and Seal Master of the Ten Seals Covenant and Intendant of the Ministry of Sentinel Affairs. In her own words from the official character reveal, "Any enemy of Mengzhou is an enemy of mine."
Kuro's 3.7 patch notes list five combat roles for her: Concerto Efficiency, Basic Attack DMG, Unison, Electro DMG Amplification and Resonance Skill DMG Amplification. Compare that with Hsin's list, which reads "Main Damage Dealer, Coordinated Attack, Resonance Skill DMG, Unison, Electro Flare". Hsin is the carry. Suoming is the character who makes Hsin, and Electro teams in general, hit harder.
Her full kit was published on 18 October in the Profile Reveal "Power of Ten". The parts that matter for pull decisions:
1. She has two jobs, and Unison decides which one she does. Casting her Resonance Liberation gives her Unison for 5 seconds. With Unison she can either:
- Swap out with her Outro Skill, which gives her the Aligned Seals effect and buffs the next Resonator, or
- Stay on field and cast Resonance Skill - Furled Canopy: Rift Cleaver, which removes Unison and grants Seal Master. Seal Master increases the multipliers of her Unfurled Canopy basic attacks by 100% and her Crit. DMG by 100% for 12 seconds or until she swaps out. It cannot be active at the same time as Aligned Seals, so each rotation you pick one job.
That is why some early summaries call her a sub-DPS and others a main DPS. She is built to do either, one rotation at a time.
2. Her Outro is a big Electro buffer. The official text reads: "The incoming Resonator gains 20% Electro DMG Amplification for 8s or until the Resonator is switched out. While having Unison Boon, they also gain 25% Resonance Skill DMG Amplification." If she swaps out within 8 seconds of her Resonance Liberation or Umbral Canopy: Engraved Heart while holding Aligned Seals, her inherent skill Sunken Seal, Forged Lock adds an Electro DMG Bonus for the incoming Resonator: 30%, "plus an additional 20% for each stack of Unison Boon they have, up to 40%."
3. Unison Response and Unison Boon tie her to Hsin. When the active Resonator has Unison, Suoming is swapped in and she casts her Intro Skill, she triggers Unison Response and grants the team one stack of Unison Boon for 30 seconds. Only Resonators who can trigger Unison Response can gain Unison Boon, and each stack raises their total damage by 3%, up to 2 stacks. Suoming herself can only grant 1 stack; triggering it again just resets the duration. Unison Response cannot be triggered in Co-op.
4. She adds Coordinated Attacks. Through Blight Rain, Miasmic Thunder, an Outro cast while she has Unison summons up to 6 Thunder Crests over 8 seconds (at most one per second) as the on-field Resonator deals damage. Each one is a Coordinated Attack dealing Electro DMG.
5. Her resource is Delusion. She holds up to 800 points and cycles through Awakened Mind, Deep Mind and Calamity Mind states. Hitting 800 Delusion unlocks her empowered Resonance Skills. Expect a rotation with more moving parts than most sword users.
What does her Electro Resonance Skill amplification mean for Hsin?
Hsin is an Electro unit whose damage leans on Resonance Skill, and she has two Resonance Modes, Unison and Electro Flare. Suoming's Outro amplifies Electro damage for anyone, but the 25% Resonance Skill amplification needs Unison Boon, and Unison Boon only works for Resonators that can trigger Unison Response. In practice that means Hsin in her Unison mode gets the full package, while an Electro Flare Hsin gets the Electro buffs only. Read side by side, the two kits look made for each other, and that is our reading of the official text, not a damage simulation.
Should you pull for Suoming?
Pull Suoming if you own Hsin (or will pull her before 22 October) and plan to run her in Unison mode. That is where Suoming's kit pays off: Electro DMG Amplification, Resonance Skill DMG Amplification and Unison Boon all land on a Unison Hsin. In our view she is the best reason yet to build Hsin's Unison setup over Electro Flare.
Think twice if you do not run Electro. Her Electro DMG Amplification and Electro DMG Bonus are wasted on a Glacio or Havoc carry, and her Unison Boon needs Unison partners. Her Seal Master mode gives her a solo damage option, but nobody has measured how far that carries her outside an Electro team yet.
Do not pull on hype alone. Neither Prydwen nor WuWa Wiki had ranked her as of their last 3.7 updates, which is normal before release. Our Wuthering Waves tier list will add her once both lists rate her after live testing, and the Phase II banner runs until 11 November, so waiting a few days for first clears costs you nothing.
Is Unspoken Rue worth it?
Unspoken Rue is Suoming's signature 5-star Sword, sold on its own Featured Weapon Convene with a 100% guarantee on the featured 5-star.
Kuro's description is pure lore ("With this canopy, she sheltered all life and sealed the Evil Miasma"), so for stats we rely on third-party data. Several third-party build sites, including EnjoyGM and LDShop, list it at 588 ATK and 24.3% Crit. Rate at level 90, with a passive built around Unison and Electro damage. Treat those as pre-release figures until you see them in-game, because Kuro's own text does not include them.
Our advice is the standard one for this game: character first, weapon second. A Sequence 0 Suoming on a decent Sword already brings the Outro buffs, because those come from her kit, not her weapon. Buy the weapon only if you have the Astrite left over after you have the characters you want.
Is Lucilla worth pulling in 3.7 Phase II?
Lucilla is a 5-star Glacio Rectifier, back for her first rerun on "Tomorrow in the Frame" with her signature Freeze Frame on the weapon side.
On ranking, she is near the top of both lists we track. Prydwen places her at T0 as a hybrid for Tower of Adversity, and WuWa Wiki lists her as one of only four SS picks for Whimpering Wastes, alongside Chisa, Hiyuki and Sigrika. WuWa Wiki is one step more conservative for Tower of Adversity and places her at S.
Two independent pull guides (GuruGamer and AllThings.how) describe her the same way: a dual-mode support. Glacio Chafe mode serves Hiyuki, and Echo Skill mode serves Echo Skill carries such as Sigrika.
Pull Lucilla if you own Hiyuki or an Echo Skill carry and still lack her. Skip her if you run neither, because outside those two teams her value drops off quickly.
Is Lynae worth pulling in 3.7 Phase II?
Lynae is a 5-star Spectro Pistols user from Version 3.0, back on "Undefined Spectrum" with Spectrum Blaster as her signature.
She is the safest rerun of the phase. Prydwen and WuWa Wiki both put her in their top tier, and both third-party pull guides above point out that her buffs are not tied to one element. AllThings.how calls them "element-agnostic", which is why she fits Tune Break teams and generalist teams alike.
Pull Lynae if you do not own her and want one support that improves several teams. Skip her if you already have her and your support slots are full.
What should you pull on the Phase II banner? Our pull order
This is our recommendation, based on the official kits and the two tier lists above.
- You own Hsin (or are pulling her before 22 October) and run her in Unison mode: Suoming first. Her kit is built around a Unison Hsin.
- You skipped Hsin and want one flexible support: Lynae first. Her buffs carry across teams.
- You run Hiyuki (Glacio Chafe) or an Echo Skill carry such as Sigrika: Lucilla first, especially if you missed her original banner.
- You are saving: skip all three. Version 3.8 is expected in mid-November, and Kuro reveals new Resonators through official previews before each version.
How many pulls do you need?
Kuro's official Convene rates are the same on all three Featured Resonator banners (the Astrite cost is the standard price of one Tide):

The arithmetic follows from those numbers:
- Worst case for Suoming, Lucilla or Lynae: 160 Convenes (lose the 50/50 at hard pity, then hit hard pity again), or 25,600 Astrite.
- Worst case for Unspoken Rue: 80 Convenes, or 12,800 Astrite.
- Rough average for a featured 5-star: about 83 Convenes (roughly 13,300 Astrite). That is the 1.8% average rate (about 56 pulls per 5-star) multiplied by roughly 1.5 to account for the 50/50.
How do you farm Suoming's materials before 22 October?
Her official profile lists her ascension materials as Forged Empyrean's Sigh, Miasmic Branch and Howler Core, and her skill materials as Broken Wing Polarizer, Howler Core and Remnant of the Wheel. Most of these come from content that is already live, so you can farm them before her banner opens. Third-party estimates of her total Shell Credit bill disagree widely, so bank as many credits as you can and check the in-game cost once she is live.

Does pity carry over from Hsin's banner to Suoming's? Yes. Kuro's Convene rules state the guarantee count is shared among all Featured Resonator Convene banners and carries over until you obtain a 5-star Resonator.
