When does the MLBB SpongeBob collab start in 2026?
It starts on 11/11 Server Time, 10 days from this update. The event isn't one block, though. Each part has its own end date, and the free coin events close three weeks before the draw does.

Counting both end dates, that gives the draw a 51-day window and the coin events only 30. If you're chasing the free rewards, 12/10 is the date that matters, not 12/31.
Trust the countdown in your event tab over any calendar, including this one. Moonton's dates are in Server Time, and the notes don't give a UTC conversion.
How do you get Bane "Mr. Krabs"?
Through the collab draw, as far as the notes say. Nothing in the Event Shop list mentions him, so plan on spending Diamonds or draw tokens rather than coins.
The rules Moonton has published are short:

Read that first rule carefully. It promises a random permanent collab item and it doesn't promise Mr. Krabs.
Visually, the skin has been the talk of the sub since mid-October. A clip of its Advance Server effects drew more than 2,100 upvotes and 200 comments, and players singled out the anchovy swarm on his ultimate. That footage is test-server material, so treat any detail as subject to change until 11/11.
A leaker graphic also labels the skin "Grand Tier". Moonton's notes don't use that term for him, so we're leaving it unconfirmed.
How much will the SpongeBob draw cost?
No total is published, and any "you'll need X Diamonds" figure you see right now is a guess. Here's what can actually be pinned down.
The screenshot above is a test build, which is why its nameplates read Mecha Baby and S.A.B.E.R. Regulator instead of Mr. Krabs and Patrick. That mid-October image of the draw, posted weeks before the event and apparently from the Advance Server, shows 10 Diamonds for a discounted 1X (normally 20) and 140 Diamonds for a discounted 10X (normally 200). Those discounts match the 50% and 30% in the Original Server notes, but the Diamond amounts themselves aren't in those notes. Treat them as Advance Server numbers, not live prices.
If they do hold, the cheap floor looks like this:

That isn't the price of Mr. Krabs. It's only what the discounted draws would cost, and we don't know the drop odds or the token exchange price yet. For scale, last year's Gloo "Patrick" was reported at 1,089 Diamonds, or 762 during its first-week 30% discount. A community post gave those numbers, and that skin wasn't sold through this draw format.
Players in that thread were already reading the shift the same way. One wrote: "Patrick sold like hotcakes and they decided they won't miss the chance to earn more money next time."
Is Cyclops "SpongeBob" still free?
Probably not in the way it was. In 2025, Moonton's own Friend Fest announcement said Friendship Coins could unlock "the FREE SpongeBob SquarePants skin for Cyclops".
This year's notes place him in the draw section, under "also return for a limited time". The Event Shop line names only Aamon's new Special skin, the collab Elimination Effect and the Spawn Effect. An Advance Server draw screen also shows him tagged as a prize, next to Bane and Gloo.

So if you missed him last year, don't sit on your Friendship Coins waiting for a free SpongeBob. Open the Event Shop on 11/11 first. If he's in there after all, you've lost nothing, and we'll correct this page.

What can you get for free?
More than the draw coverage suggests. All of this comes from the notes, and none of it needs Diamonds:

How does the Undersea Restaurant work?
It's a timed cooking game. Moonton's 2025 write-up described it as stepping "behind the sizzling grill" to serve Bikini Bottom dishes for Food Coins, which go toward rewards and restaurant upgrades, with Friendship Coins earned on top. esports.gg's event preview adds that tasks pay out the tickets or Food Coins you need to play, and that upgrades expand your menu.
Its reputation is the reason this meme hit 86 upvotes the morning the notes landed. Here's what players who ran it last year say, and we can't promise the rules are unchanged in 2026:
- Stop at the coin cap. One player summed it up: "There's a daily cap in friendship coin so there's no reason to play this minigame once it reaches that."
- Play one or two rounds a day. Another said you can "chill and play 1-2 times daily to get the max Friendship Coins" if you don't care about the weekly ranking.
- Only grind if you want the leaderboard. The ranking is the sweaty part, and the coin shop doesn't need it.
- Go easy on menu upgrades. One player said they bought only soda and still had enough left for SpongeBob, and another reasoned that fewer dishes means fewer orders to juggle. Others still argue for pizza, so test it before you spend your Food Coins.
Is the SpongeBob collab available in your country?
Check before you plan around it. Moonton's 2025 announcement carried this line:
"The Friend Fest x SpongeBob SquarePants campaign is available worldwide, except in the United States, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, Cuba, North Korea, Myanmar, Sudan, and Syria."
The November 2026 notes don't repeat any region list, so we can't say whether those limits still apply. If your account sat in one of those regions last year, assume the same until the event tab appears on 11/11. Don't top up early for an event you might not see.
