Pokemon GO Events This Week (Oct 19–Oct 25, 2026): Raids, Spotlight Hour and Community Day

This is the verified list of Pokemon GO events this week, Monday, October 19 to Sunday, October 25, 2026, in the Twilight Trails season. It covers every event start and end time, the raid bosses (5-star, Mega, Shadow and Max Battles), Raid Hour, Spotlight Hour, GO Battle League and what is coming next. Each item cites the official Pokemon GO news post where one exists. Where the official site has not posted a detail, the line says so and names the two independent outlets it was checked against. This page is updated in place every Monday.

Quick answer (last checked October 19, 2026, 05:10 UTC): The big Pokemon GO events this week are Minior Showers: Orionids (Minior's debut, October 19 at 5:00 p.m. to October 24 at 11:59 p.m. local) and the Dynamax Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf Max Battle Day (Saturday, October 24, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. local). Palkia takes over 5-star raids and Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y take over Mega Raids on Wednesday, October 21. Palkia Raid Hour is Wednesday 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Morelull Spotlight Hour (2x Catch Stardust) is Thursday 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Fall Marathon: Buddy Trek ends tonight at 8:00 p.m. There is no Community Day this week. The next one is Saturday, November 21, 2026.

That is 11 dated items in 7 days, and three of them reward Stardust directly. If you only have time for two sessions this week, make them the Orionids evening window (5:00 to 9:00 p.m. any day from Monday to Saturday) and Saturday afternoon's Max Battle Day.

When is Minior Showers: Orionids and how do you get Minior?

Official Minior Showers key art with Meteor Form Minior surrounded by its seven core colors

Minior makes its Pokemon GO debut during Minior Showers: Orionids, which runs from Monday, October 19, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. to Saturday, October 24 at 11:59 p.m. local time, according to the official Minior Showers announcement. The event is tied to the real Orionids meteor shower, and it is the first of six "Minior Showers" planned through August 2027.

What you need to know:

  • Where: Minior appears in the wild in its Meteor Form.
  • When to hunt: From 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time every day of the event, shooting stars light up the in-game sky and Minior spawns more often. Outside that window it still appears, just less frequently.
  • Reward: Catching Minior awards extra Stardust. Leek Duck lists 1,000 Stardust per Minior caught.
  • Core color: Leek Duck reports the Orionids debut is the Green Core, with a different core color debuting in each later shower.

The next Minior Showers are Leonids, November 14 to 19, 2026 and Geminids, December 11 to 16, 2026, both starting at 5:00 p.m. on day one and ending at 11:59 p.m. on the last day (Pokemon GO Hub, Leek Duck). Each shower debuts a different core color, so collecting them all takes the whole cycle.

Practical tip: Minior is a wild spawn, so the cheapest way to see more is to play in the evening window near PokeStops with an active Incense or Lure. Leek Duck lists 1,000 Stardust for every Minior caught.

What are the Pokemon GO raids this week?

The raid rotation flips on Wednesday, October 21 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Until then, last week's bosses stay up. The official site has not published a standalone raid post for this rotation, so the bosses below were checked against two independent outlets: Pokemon GO Hub's weekly schedule and Polygon's October raid schedule.

Palkia Raid Hour: Wednesday, October 21

Palkia Raid Hour runs Wednesday, October 21, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. local time, when Palkia fills most gyms (Pokemon GO Hub, Polygon). Palkia is Water and Dragon, so it is weak only to Dragon and Fairy. Bring your strongest Dragon attackers. They hit hard but also take super-effective damage back, so keep a few Fairy types in the second team. This is the best hour of the week to chain Palkia raids and work toward a high-IV or Shiny one.

Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y

Both Mega Charizard forms share the Mega Raid slot from October 21 to October 27. Mega Charizard X is Fire and Dragon, so Rock and Ground attackers and Dragon types all work. Mega Charizard Y is Fire and Flying, so Rock is doubly super effective against it, which makes Rock the one type that covers both. Winning gives you a regular Charizard plus Mega Energy for the form you beat. You do not catch the Mega form itself.

Shadow Landorus on the weekend

Five-star Shadow Raids run on Saturdays and Sundays this month, and the boss on October 24 and 25 is Shadow Landorus (Incarnate Forme) (Pokemon GO Hub, Polygon). It is Ground and Flying, so Ice is doubly super effective and Water is the backup. Shadow Raids need Purified Gems to calm the boss's enrage, so bring a full group if you can.

What is the Dynamax Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf Max Battle Day?

The headline event of the week is the Dynamax Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf Max Battle Day on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. local time, per the official Pokemon GO announcement. It is the Dynamax debut of all three Lake Guardians in five-star Max Battles. Each one is region-locked (Pokemon GO Hub, Dittobase):

  • Uxie: Asia-Pacific
  • Mesprit: Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India
  • Azelf: the Americas and Greenland

Event bonuses reported by Pokemon GO Hub and Leek Duck:

  • Max Particle collection limit raised to 1,600
  • 8x Max Particles from Power Spots
  • All Power Spots host Dynamax battles, extra Power Spots are active and they refresh more often
  • A chance to encounter a Shiny Uxie, Mesprit or Azelf after winning

The paid option: The official post lists a Max Battle Day Ultra Ticket Box for US$4.99 that "includes an event ticket and 800 Max Particles", sold on the Pokemon GO Web Store. The 800 Max Particles are the Web Store extra. The ticket itself unlocks event Timed Research with 2x XP from Max Battles during the event window. Leek Duck lists expected research rewards of 1 Max Mushroom, 25,000 XP and 6,400 Max Particles, but flags them as based on previous events and not yet confirmed. The ticket can only be bought until Saturday at 5:00 p.m. local time. It is optional. The free bonuses alone make Saturday afternoon a strong Max Particle session.

How to prepare: Lake Guardians are Psychic types, weak to Bug, Ghost and Dark. Max Battles reward teamwork. A full group of four with strong Dynamax or Gigantamax attackers gives you the best odds in five-star Max Battles. Use the official Pokemon GO Map to find Power Spots near you before 2:00 p.m.

Max Monday: Dynamax Sneasel

Tonight, Monday, October 19, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. local, Dynamax Sneasel is the featured Max Monday boss, and it stays in the Max Battle rotation through October 25 (Pokemon GO Hub, Leek Duck). The format, in the official wording from the Max Mondays announcement: "For one hour every Monday evening, a different featured Dynamax Pokémon will take over all Max Battles at Power Spots." Sneasel is Dark and Ice, so Fighting moves are doubly super effective. Next Monday, October 26, the featured boss is Dynamax Sableye (Leek Duck).

When is Spotlight Hour this week?

Morelull Spotlight Hour is Thursday, October 22, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. local time, with a 2x Catch Stardust bonus. The official site has not posted it separately, so it was checked against Polygon's October Spotlight Hour schedule and Dexerto. Morelull itself is not a meta pick. The value is the Stardust. A Star Piece lasts 30 minutes, so use one at 6:00 p.m. and a second at 6:30 p.m., then catch everything you see for the full hour. Both boosts stack on every catch.

This makes October 19 to 25 the Stardust week of the month. Minior pays 1,000 Stardust per catch every evening, Morelull doubles catch Stardust on Thursday, and GO Battle League wins pay 4x Stardust from Tuesday. If you have been saving to power up a Palkia or a Dynamax team, spend your Star Pieces this week.

What is in GO Battle League this week?

GO Battle League rotates on Tuesday, October 20 at 1:00 p.m. PDT to Ultra League, Master League: Mega Edition and Fantasy Cup: Great League Edition, with 4x Stardust from win rewards (end-of-set rewards excluded), running through October 27 (Pokemon GO Hub, Leek Duck). This is Season 28 of GO Battle League, which began on September 8 with the Twilight Trails season.

Which events end this week?

  • Fall Marathon: Buddy Trek ends tonight, Monday, October 19 at 8:00 p.m. local. It ran from October 13 and introduced Bramblin, per the official Fall Marathon post. Its free Timed Research (an encounter with Pikachu wearing a marathon visor after exploring up to 42 km) must be finished and claimed before 8:00 p.m. Pokemon GO Hub reports that GO Pass: Fall Marathon rewards can still be claimed until October 21 at 8:00 p.m.
  • Dialga and Mega Dragonite leave raids when the rotation flips on Wednesday morning, so Tuesday is your last day for both.
  • Minior Showers: Orionids ends Saturday at 11:59 p.m.

Is there a Community Day this week?

No. October's Community Day was Zorua Community Day on October 10. The next Community Day is Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. local time. Leek Duck lists the date, but the featured Pokemon has not been announced yet. This page will add it the Monday after it is confirmed.

What about City Safari: Boston?

City Safari: Boston was postponed in September because of severe weather. The official update says: "Pokémon GO City Safari: Boston has been rescheduled, and it will now take place primarily as a global event exclusively for current ticket holders." Leek Duck lists the new dates as Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local each day. If you did not hold a ticket, nothing changes for you.

What is in GO Pass: October?

Official GO Pass: October art showing Kyogre and the Lucky Trinket

GO Pass: October is still running this week. It features a Kyogre encounter and the return of the Lucky Trinket in GO Pass Deluxe, per the official GO Pass: October post. Pokemon GO Hub reports that unlocked rewards expire on Thursday, November 5 at 10:00 a.m. local, so this is a good week to catch up on pass points.

The US$4.99 ticket adds Timed Research and 2x XP from Max Battles on top. Leek Duck's expected rewards (1 Max Mushroom, 25,000 XP, 6,400 Max Particles) are not yet confirmed.
