Quick answer: After a 1.2.0.0 PvE prestige reset your level drops to 1, your stash and hideout are wiped, and every trader falls back to Loyalty Level 1. The fastest rebuild is a fixed quest order: clear Prapor's and Therapist's intro chain to push PMC level, hit level 15 to reopen the Flea Market, then rush the reputation quests that pull each trader back to LL2 so your economy comes back online. Do that before you touch anything cosmetic and a fresh profile is raid-ready in a weekend, not a month.
Prestige is the reset button most PvE players have been waiting for — but the moment you press it, you are a fresh account with a level-1 profile and no flea. The difference between a painful grind and a fast comeback is knowing exactly which quests to do, and in what order, so you unlock buying power before you run out of the roubles you kept. This guide is the rebuild sequence: the quests that matter first, why they matter, and where to spend real time versus where to skip. If you haven't hit the button yet, run our PvE prestige prep checklist first — a few minutes of prep before the reset saves days after it.
Heads-up on patch status (27 Sep 2026): The live build is 1.1.5.1.47510, Season 1 "KORD BREACH." Update 1.2.0.0 — which adds PvE Prestige, the bot-AI overhaul and raid reconnection — is not live yet. BSG has not published the 1.2.0.0 patch notes; the current target window is late September / early October 2026. Treat the prestige mechanics below as launch-ready prep, and re-check the exact numbers against the patch notes the day they drop.

What does a PvE prestige reset actually wipe?
Prestige is a full profile reset with a short list of carry-overs. Get this straight before you press the button, because it dictates what you should rebuild first.
Reset to zero:
- PMC level — back to 1.
- Stash — emptied. Nothing carries into the container except what prestige explicitly keeps.
- Hideout — every station back to its base tier.
- Quests — all task progress wiped; you start the quest tree from scratch.
- Trader loyalty — every trader back to Loyalty Level 1, which means the Flea Market is locked again.
- Roubles and gear — your rouble balance and inventory reset (a small kept-items allowance aside).
Kept:
- A permanent prestige level on your profile (the badge that shows you've done this).
- A percentage of your skills and weapon mastering — you don't start Strength or Recoil Control from zero.
- Achievements and overall profile stats.
The takeaway: your character keeps some muscle memory, but your economy is gone. That is why the rebuild is a quest-order problem, not a grind-hours problem. You are racing to reopen trader tiers and the Flea before the roubles you kept run dry.
Which quests should you rush first after prestige?
The single most valuable unlock on a fresh profile is the Flea Market, which reopens at PMC level 15. Everything in the first push should be measured by one question: does this get me to level 15 faster, or does it get a key trader back to LL2? If it does neither, it waits.
Here is the priority ladder for the first raids after a reset.
1. Prapor and Therapist intro chain (levels 1–5)
Start with the earliest Prapor and Therapist tasks — the "kill Scavs," "hand over found-in-raid items," and "reach location" quests. These are deliberately front-loaded with large flat EXP rewards and trader reputation, which is exactly what you need. Trader loyalty since update 1.1.0 is gated by your PMC level plus your reputation with that specific trader (earned by completing their tasks) — the old rouble-turnover requirement was removed. So doing a trader's early quests is literally how you level that trader back up. There is no "spend millions at Prapor to hit LL2" step anymore; you complete Prapor's tasks.
2. Punisher Part 1 and the Scav-kill economy quests (levels 5–10)
Punisher Part 1 (Prapor) is a Scav-elimination task with a weapon-and-map restriction — check the exact requirement in-game, since BSG has shuffled Punisher's objective and rewards across patches. What matters for a rebuild is the payout profile: this line of tasks hands out large flat EXP plus Prapor reputation and a solid rouble reward, which is exactly the fuel a level-5 profile needs. This is the same class of high-value task covered in our most profitable early quests guide, just prioritized for a reset profile where EXP matters more than roubles. Pair it with the other "kill X Scavs" tasks that stack on the same raids so one run closes three objectives at once.
3. Gunsmith Part 1 and the Mechanic line (start early, finish over time)
Gunsmith Part 1 (Mechanic) is cheap to complete — it rewards +800 EXP, +0.01 Mechanic rep and 10,000 roubles for building a weapon to a spec — and it opens the Gunsmith chain that eventually gates good ammo and mods. Start it immediately for the Mechanic reputation, but don't stall your level push waiting on the later parts; Gunsmith Part 15/Master Part 1 requires level 27, so the back half is a mid-game project, not a day-one one.
4. Hit level 15 → reopen the Flea Market
Once the Scav-kill and intro chains push you to level 15, the Flea Market unlocks and your rebuild changes gear entirely. Now you can sell found-in-raid loot for roubles instead of vendor-dumping it, buy the quest items you're missing, and kit up properly. Individual Flea categories still have their own level gates (some higher-tier items stay locked until the low-40s), but general trading is back — and that is the moment a fresh profile stops feeling fresh. If you want the full unlock conditions, see our how to unlock the Flea Market guide.
How do you get each trader back to Loyalty Level 2 fast?
Because loyalty is now PMC level + trader-specific reputation, the fastest route to LL2 across the board is simply to clear each trader's first cluster of tasks while your level naturally climbs from the EXP. Prioritize in this order:
- Prapor — the highest volume of early kill/handover tasks; levels fastest and unlocks core ammo and grenades.
- Therapist — meds and the early "reach location" survival tasks; keeps you alive during the rebuild.
- Skier and Mechanic — weapon economy; Mechanic especially via the Gunsmith line.
- Peacekeeper, Ragman, Jaeger — round these out once the first three are at LL2, since they matter more for the Kappa run than for day-one survival.
Don't split your attention. Funnel raids toward whichever trader is one or two tasks from LL2, bank that tier, then move to the next. A trader jumping from LL1 to LL2 typically unlocks meaningfully better stock and lower prices, which compounds every raid after.
Can you fast-track Kappa again after a reset?
Yes — and if you had the Kappa (Collector) container before prestige, the good news is you already know the route. The requirements are unchanged on Season 1. The Collector quest that grants the Kappa container requires:
- Loyalty Level 4 with all seven traders (Prapor, Therapist, Skier, Peacekeeper, Mechanic, Ragman, Jaeger).
- Scav karma of at least +3.0.
- Four specific prerequisite quests complete: Chemical Part 3, Sew it Good Part 2, Shooter Born in Heaven, and The Tarkov Shooter Part 4.
- 44 found-in-raid items collected and handed in.
There is no shortcut around the 44 FiR items, but there is a smart order: while you're grinding traders to LL4 for the Collector gate anyway, start hoarding the 44 FiR items in a dedicated stash row from your very first raids. Our Collector 44-item checklist lists exactly what to keep so you never vendor a hand-in item by mistake. Half of them are common loot you'll pick up naturally; the other half are the ones players forget to keep and have to re-farm. Flagging them from day one is the single biggest time save on the whole Kappa restart.
Pro tip: Scav karma is easy to tank and slow to rebuild. From your first Scav runs, don't kill other players' Scavs or friendly bosses — keep karma climbing toward +3.0 in the background so it isn't the thing blocking your Collector turn-in at the end.

What should you NOT waste time on early?
- Hideout cosmetics and low-impact stations. Rebuild only the stations that pay you back — Bitcoin Farm, Intelligence Center, and crafting stations that feed quests. Everything else waits until the Flea is open and roubles flow.
- High-level trader unlocks before level 15. Chasing an LL3 trader while you're level 12 is backwards. Get to the Flea first; trader tiers come faster once you're trading.
- Rare-ammo grinding. You don't need meta ammo to clear early Scav quests. Save the roubles for the mid-game where good ammo actually decides fights.
- Anything on the avoid list. Don't burn a rebuild weekend price-checking the Flea. The rebuild is a quest problem; the economy follows the quests.
How long does a full PvE rebuild take?
With a focused quest order, a fresh PvE profile is comfortably raid-viable — Flea open, three or four traders at LL2, a working hideout core — inside a single weekend of dedicated play. Getting back to Kappa is the longer arc: the 44 FiR items plus LL4 across seven traders is a multi-week project even for experienced players, which is exactly why hoarding those items from raid one matters so much.
If you'd rather skip the grind entirely and jump straight back to the content you actually enjoy, our team can rebuild the profile for you — trader loyalty, quest chains, and the Kappa fast-track handled by verified boosters.
Rebuild your PvE profile without the grind:
- Kappa Container & Quest Boost — the full Collector fast-track: trader loyalty, prerequisite quests, and the 44 FiR items handled.
- Leveling Boost — get past level 15 and reopen the Flea Market fast, then keep climbing.
- Roubles — rebuild your stash and buying power the moment the Flea is back online.
FAQ
Does PvE prestige delete my Kappa container? Yes. Prestige wipes your quests, so the Collector quest that grants Kappa is reset and you'll need to re-earn it — LL4 with all seven traders, +3.0 scav karma, the four prerequisite quests, and all 44 found-in-raid items again. Your permanent prestige level and a percentage of your skills carry over, but container quest progress does not.
At what level does the Flea Market reopen after a reset? The Flea Market unlocks at PMC level 15, the same as a normal fresh account. Individual item categories still have their own higher level gates, but general buying and selling returns at 15 — which is why the first-push quests are all about reaching level 15 as fast as possible.
Do I still need to spend roubles to level up traders? No. Since update 1.1.0, trader loyalty is based on your PMC level plus your reputation with that trader, earned by completing that trader's tasks. The old rouble-turnover requirement was removed, so completing quests — not spending money — is how you push a trader from LL1 to LL2 and beyond.
Is 1.2.0.0 and PvE Prestige live right now? Not as of 27 September 2026. The live build is 1.1.5.1.47510 (Season 1). BSG has not published the 1.2.0.0 patch notes; the current window is late September / early October 2026. Use this guide to prep, and verify the exact prestige carry-over numbers against the official notes on release day.
Which quest gives the most EXP for a fresh profile? Early Scav-elimination tasks like Punisher Part 1 are the best EXP-per-raid on a reset profile — a single one can carry you through roughly two early levels, and they stack with other kill tasks on the same map. Check each task's exact objective and reward in-game before you commit a raid to it, since BSG adjusts Scav-kill task requirements between patches.
Patch status verified against the live build 1.1.5.1.47510 (Season 1) as of 27 September 2026. Quest rewards and prestige mechanics reflect BSG's published data; confirm against the 1.2.0.0 patch notes on release.
