Three things are confirmed and worth locking in before you plan:
- It mirrors the existing PvP prestige. The PvE version is "similar to the one already available," so the mechanic — reset in exchange for permanent, prestige-exclusive rewards — carries over from PvP.
- PvE rewards stay in PvE. Per BSG: "When earned in PvE, such rewards will only be available in PvE." A cosmetic or bonus you earn by prestiging PvE does not show up on your PvP character.
- It will not touch your Arena progression. BSG's own technical note: "Prestiging in PvE will not reset your character's progression in EFT: Arena." Your Arena rating and armory are safe.

The wiki is explicit: prestige "allows players to start the game again from the beginning, only keeping their profile statistics, achievements, Arena ARP rating and armory progress as well as a percentage of character skills and weapon mastering." The pre-prestige checklist (do these in order)
1. Finish Kappa if you're close
Kappa (the Collector quest reward, a 3×4 secure container) is the biggest one-time grind in the game, and prestige resets all your quests. If you're within striking distance of the Collector requirements — Fence scav-karma ≥ +3, LL4 with seven traders, and the gate quests (Chemical Part 4, Big Customer, Out of Curiosity, Sew It Good Part 2, Shooter Born in Heaven, The Tarkov Shooter Part 4) — finish it before you prestige. Prioritize things that are painful to re-acquire early: keys with remaining durability, a starter weapon build, meds, and quest items you'll immediately need. For most solo PvE players, prestige is a cosmetic-and-bragging-rights meta-progression, not a power gain — you're trading a maxed character for a fresh grind plus permanent flair (like the previewed NKVD Finka) and a small retained-skill head start. If you love the early-wipe economy — every rouble matters, gear fear is real, the Flea is locked — prestige hands you that experience on demand. If you mainly enjoy end-game raids with a stacked Hideout and full Kappa loadout, there's little mechanical reason to reset.
