You are buying bounded attempts, not an until-drop promise. Every run cycle means one eligible character reaches and defeats Attumen for one loot roll. At a 1% drop rate, 5 attempts are about a 5% cumulative chance, 10 are about 10%, and 25 are about 22%. There is no pity timer, fixed completion date, or guaranteed cycle count.
Extra characters shorten the calendar, not the odds. One character supplies one Karazhan attempt each weekly reset; five eligible alts can supply five attempts in the same reset. The chance on every Attumen kill remains about 1%, whether it is your first run or your hundredth. Without alts, a 10-cycle order can span 10 weekly resets.
