Riddler's Mind-Worm Riddle Chain

Riddler's Mind-Worm - Secret Mount Riddle Chain Solve

  • 8-Page Riddle Chain
  • No Drop Roll

Riddler's Mind-Worm is the secret serpent mount Blizzard buried in patch 7.2 and left for the Secret Finding Discord to crack in April 2017. Nothing drops it. It is claimed by reading 8 hidden pages in strict order, then looting the Gift of the Mind-Seekers chest on the Westfall coast at 30.5, 28. Blizzard later confirmed the page numbers 9, 78, 161, 655, 845, 1127, 2351 and 5555 spell the ISBN of Warcraft Chronicle Volume 1, and that each clue was drawn from an illustration inside that book.

Where the pages sit: the Legerdemain Lounge bookshelf in Dalaran, the Twilight Grove moonwell in Duskwood at 49, 33, the Ragnaros platform inside Firelands, the coast east of the Lost City of the Tol'vir in Cataclysm-phase Uldum at 70, 78, the Sha of Pride room in Siege of Orgrimmar, the Well of Eternity dungeon in the Caverns of Time, the tiger statues below the Shado-Pan Monastery in Kun-Lai Summit at 34.6, 50.9, and the Steps of Fate statues back in Uldum at 76.4, 53.6.

The gates are order and phasing, not luck. A page only appears once the page before it has been read, and Uldum has to be flipped to its Cataclysm version by Zidormi in Ramkahen or two pages stay invisible. Two more sit behind bosses: all 7 Firelands bosses have to fall before the Ragnaros platform opens, and Siege of Orgrimmar has to be pushed to its 4th boss. Community guides split on whether page progress survives the weekly reset, with several reporting it wipes on maintenance, so the route is always planned to finish inside one reset week rather than banked half-done.

Realistic total: roughly 2 to 4 hours, most of it the two legacy raid clears and cross-continent riding. Both raids are soloed at max level, so no group and no lockout partner is needed. The 2-hour block covers a clean run on an account with flying and the 4-hour block covers starting Firelands and Siege of Orgrimmar cold. If a reset forces a rerun, the extra time is booked as repeat blocks at the same hourly rate: 2 hours for $26.99, 4 for $53.99, 6 for $80.99, or 10 for $134.99. There is no loot roll anywhere in this chain, so the chest is guaranteed the moment the eighth page is read.

Delivery: the mount is account-wide once learned, rides at level 10 and flies at Expert Riding. US is the default region and carries its own ladder, with a separate EU ladder next to it. Piloted play is standard, Self-play Remote adds 30%, Express adds 20%, and Super Express adds 40%. Manual PC play only, scheduled in ET or PT for US players.

Frequently asked questions

  • Riddler's Mind-Worm is unlocked by reading 8 hidden Mind-Seeker pages in a fixed order: Dalaran's Legerdemain Lounge, the Twilight Grove moonwell in Duskwood, the Ragnaros platform in Firelands, Cataclysm-phase Uldum near the Lost City of the Tol'vir, the Sha of Pride room in Siege of Orgrimmar, the Well of Eternity dungeon, the Shado-Pan Monastery tiger statues in Kun-Lai Summit, and the Steps of Fate statues in Uldum. The mount then comes from the Gift of the Mind-Seekers chest in Westfall.

  • Yes. Riddler's Mind-Worm has never been retired since it went live with patch 7.2 in 2017, and all 8 pages plus the Westfall chest are still on live retail servers. The one thing that changed is phasing: Uldum defaults to its later Old God version, so a bronze dragon named Zidormi in Ramkahen has to send you back to the Cataclysm Uldum before pages 4 and 8 will render at all.

  • A full Riddler's Mind-Worm solve realistically runs about 2 to 4 hours. Reading the 8 pages themselves is quick; the time goes into clearing all 7 Firelands bosses to reach Ragnaros, pushing Siege of Orgrimmar to the Sha of Pride room, running Well of Eternity, and riding between Dalaran, Duskwood, Uldum, Kun-Lai Summit and Westfall. Without old-world flying the same route stretches closer to 6 hours.

  • Community sources disagree here, and we treat that honestly. Several long-standing Riddler's Mind-Worm guides and player reports say the 8 page flags wipe at the weekly reset, while a few newer guides claim progress persists across weeks. Because the downside is redoing the whole chain, every booking is scheduled to run the 8 pages and the Westfall chest inside a single reset week, so the question never costs you anything.

  • Yes. Riddler's Mind-Worm is a collection-item mount, so once the Westfall chest is looted and the item used, it is added to your mount journal for every eligible character on the account. Any character at level 10 with Apprentice Riding can use it on the ground, and Expert Riding turns it into a flying mount, so a single 2-hour solve covers all of your alts at once.

  • It is guaranteed. Unlike a rare mount with a published or datamined drop rate, the Riddler's Mind-Worm chain has no loot roll attached at any of its 8 steps. Every page spawns deterministically once the previous one is read, and the Gift of the Mind-Seekers chest in Westfall always contains the mount. You are paying for hours of route work, not for a percentage chance at an item.

  • A Riddler's Mind-Worm riddle-chain booking is $26.99 for 2 hours, $53.99 for 4 hours, $80.99 for 6 hours, or $134.99 for 10 hours, and US and EU run on separate ladders at the same rates. Most accounts finish inside the 2-hour or 4-hour block. If a run needs longer, the overflow is added as another block at the same hourly rate instead of an unannounced charge.

  • Yes. Riddler's Mind-Worm riddle-chain runs are available on US realms and US is the default region on this page, with EU sitting on its own ladder. Sessions are booked in ET or PT with US business-hours support, which matters for this chain specifically because the 8 pages are best read in one sitting ahead of the Tuesday US reset. Pricing is shown in USD.
