Weapon Illusions Farm

WoW Weapon Illusions - Enchant Appearance Farming Hours

  • Account-Wide Mog
  • Raid & Vendor Farm

Weapon illusions are enchant appearances, the items named Illusion: something, that overlay a glow, rune or flame onto whatever weapon you transmog. Patch 7.0.3 folded them into the Appearances wardrobe, so an illusion learned once is account-wide and any character on the Battle.net account can apply it at a transmogrifier. This is a different collection from Legion artifact tints: illusions are the enchant layer, and since patch 10.0.5 one can even be placed on top of an artifact weapon.

Where they come from: the wardrobe list runs to roughly 90 illusions. 7 come already unlocked on every account (Agility, Beastslayer, Crusader, Lifestealing, Striking, Titanguard and Hide Weapon Enchant), 27 are crafted from Enchanting tomes such as Tome of Illusions: Cataclysm, which needs Cataclysm Enchanting 50 and teaches Windwalk, Heartsong and Light of the Earth-Warder, 15 drop from bosses, 10 sit behind reputation vendors, and 7 are class-locked.

The real farm is the drops. Illusion: Mongoose comes off Moroes in Karazhan, Illusion: Sunfire off Shade of Aran, Illusion: Blade Ward off Freya, Hodir, Mimiron or Thorim in Ulduar, Illusion: Blood Draining off Yogg-Saron, Illusion: Jade Spirit off the Sha of Fear in Terrace of Endless Spring, and Illusion: Nightmare off Xavius in the Emerald Nightmare. Every one is bind-on-pickup, so none can be bought off the auction house, and Blizzard has never published a drop rate for any of them. Those legacy raids are trivial to solo at max level, but each sits on a weekly lockout, so a miss costs a full week. That is why time is sold honestly instead of a guaranteed drop: 2 hours for $26.99, 4 for $53.99, 6 for $80.99, or 10 for $134.99.

Vendor illusions are deterministic instead. Illusion: Executioner is sold by Karaaz in Netherstorm and Paulsta'ats in Nagrand at Revered with The Consortium, Illusion: Mending needs Revered with the Guardians of Hyjal, and four covenant illusions need Renown 36 while four more need Exalted with the matching Shadowlands faction.

What is closed and never sold here: the PvP-season illusions. Glorious Tyranny, Primal Victory, Demonic Tyranny, Dreadflame and the Duelist illusions from the Shadowlands and Dragonflight seasons ended with those seasons. Illusion: Stinging Sands left with the old Recruit A Friend rewards in patch 10.0.7, and Illusion: Wraithchill was a Shadowlands Collector's Edition item. timesaver.gg quotes none of them, and the current-season Rival II illusions are a rating job, not a farm.

Delivery: US is selected by default and EU has its own independent ladder. Piloted play is standard, Self-play Remote adds 30%, Express adds 20%, and Super Express adds 40%. Manual PC play only, scheduled in ET or PT for US players.

Frequently asked questions

  • Yes. Weapon illusions have been part of the account-wide Appearances wardrobe since patch 7.0.3, so once any character learns an illusion, every character on that Battle.net account can apply it at a transmogrifier. The exception is the 7 class-specific weapon illusions, such as Illusion: Rune of Razorice for death knights and Illusion: Windfury for shamans, which stay usable only by their own class.

  • The weapon illusion collection runs to roughly 90 entries. 7 come already unlocked on every account, 27 are learned from Enchanting tomes and recipes, 15 drop from raid and dungeon bosses, 10 are bought from reputation vendors, and 7 are class-specific. The remainder are holiday, promotional and PvP-season illusions, and a large share of that last group is locked to closed seasons and can no longer be collected.

  • Fifteen weapon illusions are boss drops. Illusion: Mongoose drops from Moroes in Karazhan, Illusion: Sunfire from Shade of Aran and Illusion: Soulfrost from Terestian Illhoof in the same raid; Illusion: Blade Ward drops from Freya, Hodir, Mimiron or Thorim in Ulduar and Illusion: Blood Draining from Yogg-Saron; Illusion: Jade Spirit comes off the Sha of Fear and Illusion: Nightmare off Xavius. All are bind-on-pickup, and Blizzard publishes no drop rate for them.

  • The illusions tied to closed PvP seasons are gone: Glorious Tyranny and Primal Victory from old Duelist and Hero titles, Demonic Tyranny from the Legion Gladiator seasons, Dreadflame from Battle for Azeroth, and the Duelist illusions from the four Shadowlands and four Dragonflight seasons. Illusion: Stinging Sands left with the old Recruit A Friend rewards in patch 10.0.7, and Illusion: Wraithchill shipped with a Shadowlands Collector's Edition. This service quotes none of them.

  • A weapon illusion farm costs $26.99 for 2 hours, $53.99 for 4 hours, $80.99 for 6 hours, or $134.99 for 10 hours. US and EU are separate ladders currently carrying the same rates. Because the raid illusions are random drops behind weekly lockouts, a long checklist runs past 10 hours and the overflow is booked as repeat blocks at the same hourly rate, before the optional 20%, 30% or 40% upgrades.

  • Yes. Weapon illusion farming runs on US realms and US is the region selected by default on this page. Weekly resets for the Karazhan, Ulduar and Terrace of Endless Spring lockouts are scheduled in ET or PT, with US business-hours support attached to the order. EU players switch the region radio at the top of the page to the separate EU ladder before checkout, at the same $26.99 opening rate.

  • It depends entirely on the list. A vendor illusion such as Illusion: Executioner, which needs Revered with The Consortium, is a predictable few hours of Outland reputation work. A raid drop such as Illusion: Mongoose or Illusion: Blade Ward is one roll per weekly lockout with no published drop rate, so it can land on the first reset or take ten. That is why the page sells 2, 4, 6 or 10 farming hours rather than a guaranteed illusion.

  • No, they are two separate collections. Weapon illusions are enchant appearances that overlay a glow or rune onto any weapon you mog, and roughly 90 of them are shared account-wide. Legion artifact appearances are the artifact weapon models and color tints locked to a single class specialization, one artifact per spec. Since patch 10.0.5 an illusion can be applied on top of an artifact weapon, but the wardrobe tracks the two lists apart.
