Swift White Hawkstrider is the 100% epic ground mount that drops from Kael'thas Sunstrider, the fourth and last boss of heroic Magisters' Terrace on the Isle of Quel'Danas. The lockout is the reason this is worth farming at all. Magisters' Terrace is a 5-man, so heroic resets every 24 hours instead of weekly - one Kael'thas kill a day, every day, against one attempt a week on a raid mount like Ashes of Al'ar. At the reported 2-4% you should expect on the order of 25 to 50 daily kills, call it four to seven weeks of attempts. That is an expectation, not a promise: plenty of hawkstriders land inside the first ten runs and some farms push past two months, which is exactly why this is sold as run-until-it-drops rather than as a run count.
There is no key and no reputation gate. Magisters' Terrace arrived in patch 2.4 and is the one TBC heroic with no vendor key to buy - no Honored rep, no Auchenai Key, nothing from a quartermaster. What it does have is a short unlock chain run on Normal: Crisis at the Sunwell or Duty Calls, then Magisters' Terrace, The Scryer's Scryer and Hard to Kill, which ends on a Normal-mode Kael'thas kill turned in to Larethor at the Shattered Sun Staging Area. If your character has not done it, we complete it on the first day of the farm at no extra charge.
This is a pre-order for the Phase 4 window. Magisters' Terrace opens with Phase 4, Fury of the Sunwell, alongside the Isle of Quel'Danas and Sunwell Plateau.
