The Secret Document is the item every Arena Breakout: Infinite player wants and many never find. On r/ArenaBreakoutInfinite this weekend, one player found their first on Valley Normal, another logged their fifth after 2,200 hours, and a third replied there with 1,700 hours and zero. Most guides still tell you it's worth about 24 million Koen and that you can list it on the Market. Neither is true any more.
Verified on November 2, 2026, during Season 7: Utopia (live since September 16, 2026), against Morefun's official Steam announcements for app 2073620 through the October 27 (UTC+0) Live Update, and the client's English item text. Morefun publishes no drop rate or spawn list for this item, so find data below comes from players and is labelled that way.
⚡ TL;DR: Secret Document in Arena Breakout: Infinite (Season 7)
What it is: a 1×2 red collectible, shown as "Document" in your grid. It does nothing except hold value.
What it's worth: players report about 16–17M Koen from a Contact. The roughly 24M figure is a displayed value, not cash.
Market: you can't list it or buy it. Morefun delisted these collectibles in Season 4 (January 2026).
Spawn: no fixed location and no published drop rate. Players find it in safes, document boxes, coats and drawers on every tier.
Best move: put it in your Case as soon as you find it, then keep it in the Collection Room unless you need the Koen.
What is the Secret Document in Arena Breakout: Infinite?
The Secret Document is a red loot item. We found no crafting, barter or mission use for it in official posts or player threads. The client's own description is pure flavour:
"The most mysterious file in the Dark Zone. It is rumored to contain the truth about a certain event and every faction in the Dark Zone would pay to get their hands on it."
Don't go looking for a hidden use. Its value comes from three things: the Koen you can get for it, the fact that it's small, and bragging rights in your Collection Room, where collecting reds also counts toward Collector title milestones.
Quick facts:
- Grid label: "Document", with a gold disc icon. It's easy to miss on a fast loot pass.
- Size: 1×2, weighing 0.11 kg, per the community wiki.
- Rarity: red, the top loot tier. Morefun's posts call these reds, Red Drops or Gold Bounty collectibles.
- Sale: Contact only. See the Market section below.
That close-up comes from the November 1 find on Valley Normal. It's in a Case, which is exactly where you want it. Items in your Case survive death, so this one was safe the moment it went in. Our Secure Case guide covers how to get one for free.
How much is the Secret Document worth in Season 7?
Plan on about 16–17M Koen. That's the number players report receiving from a Contact. The higher figure you see is not what lands in your wallet.
| Number | What it means | Source |
|---|---|---|
| ~23.9M | Value shown on the item | Player reports, February 2026 |
| ~16–17M | Koen a Contact pays | Player reports, 2025 to February 2026 |
| 25,168,813 | Total raid Loot Value with a Document plus other loot | Player screenshot, November 1, 2026 |
| ~4–7M | The Utopia, the next red people talk about | Older player reports, not a Season 7 quote |
One February 2026 thread sums up the confusion. A player asks why a red shows 23.9M but sells for 16–17M. The answer from long-time players is that Contacts only ever paid that. The old Market price looked higher, but fees took it back down.
The in-raid Loot Value counter appears to use the higher number too. That's our reading of the November 1 screenshot, where a Document plus modest loot reads 25.2M. So don't trust that counter when you're deciding how much a raid really earned.
Season 7 check: we found no fresh Contact quote dated after the Season 7 launch, and Morefun hasn't announced a price change in any post we read. Open the sell screen in your own client before you decide. It's the only exact number for your account today.
Can you sell the Secret Document on the Market?
No. You can't list it or buy it there. This is the most common stale advice about this item. It changed in the Season 4 update of January 8, 2026, when the Collection Room arrived. Morefun's notes read:
"Gold Bounty collectibles will also be delisted from the Market and will no longer be available for purchase."
Before that, wealthy players bought Documents at about 23M to store value in fewer slots, and finders could list one and net more than a Contact paid. Older Reddit threads and many guides still describe that loop. A player in the February thread reports the current state plainly: they couldn't sell theirs on the Market despite holding 98M liquid Koen.
The same line in the patch notes has a catch. "Gold Bounty collectibles marked as operation supplies cannot be stored in the Collection Room." If your item carries that tag, it won't go on display.
Buying one elsewhere is a trap. Pages offering a Secret Document for sale are selling an in-raid hand-off, which is exactly what Morefun punishes. Its Strengthening Measures Against Illegal Trading post from October 2025 says buyers face having "all of the profits gained through this method" confiscated and a lower Merit Score. Repeat offenders face escalating bans and "up to double the illicitly obtained items' value in Koen" confiscated. Our 10-year ban explainer has the full policy.
Where does the Secret Document spawn?
Nowhere fixed. It's a rare roll inside ordinary containers. A scan of all 104 official Steam announcements in the feed, from April 2024 to October 2026, found zero mentions of it by name. So we found no official spawn list, and a page naming one guaranteed room has nothing official behind it. That's also why this guide has no pinned map: pins would suggest a certainty nobody has.
The community wiki lists these containers: Filing Cabinet, Winter Coat, Timed Safe, Locked Room Safe, Souvenir Shop Shelf, Document Box and Premium Document Box.
Here are 15 finds from the Reddit threads we read, most from 2026, including this January thread, this March thread and this February thread:
| Map | Tier | Where it was found |
|---|---|---|
| Valley | Normal | Not stated (November 1, 2026) |
| Airport | Lockdown | Not stated (October 2026) |
| Farm | Lockdown | Document box, Villa |
| Farm | Lockdown | Safe, Villa |
| Farm | Normal | Drawers, greenhouse by the Wheatfield |
| Farm | Normal | Red suitcase, small village house |
| Farm | Normal | Safe, Barn Office at Grain Trade Center |
| Valley | Lockdown | Free safe, village |
| Valley | Normal | Free safe at the back of the map |
| Armory | Lockdown | Coat, ammo dump |
| Armory | Lockdown | Coat, med tents |
| Armory | Lockdown | Drawers |
| Armory | Forbidden | Safe behind a blue key door |
| TV Station | Solo Ops | Document box, backstage |
| TV Station | Not stated | Director's room |
Treat that as a pattern, not a route. Five of the 15 were safes, six came from coats, drawers and document boxes, one from a suitcase, and three posts didn't name a container. No map dominates the list, and it reflects where people happen to play.
What is the Secret Document spawn rate?
Nobody outside Morefun knows. We found no published figure, so treat any exact percentage you see as unsourced. What we do have are hours:
- 80 hours: one player's only Document, in a Normal Farm safe.
- 300 hours: another player's first, on Airport.
- 500 to 1,700 hours: several players with none.
- 2,200 hours: one player's fifth, or roughly one per 440 hours.
Luck clearly dominates. Five finds in 2,200 hours is one player's result, not a rate, so don't plan around it. If you're at 1,000 hours with none, you aren't doing anything wrong.
Is Forbidden better? Players argue about this constantly. In one January thread, one replied that Forbidden has the highest chance, while another noted that most finds they hear of are on Normal. Our list leans Normal and Lockdown (12 of 15), but those tiers likely get far more raids, so it proves nothing either way. Season 7 also changed the map pool. Farm and Airport lost their Forbidden Zones to Heavy Infected Areas, and Valley's Lockdown Zone became an Infected Area, as the Lockdown vs Forbidden guide explains.
How do you find more Secret Documents?
There's no trick, but there is a sensible way to loot. Since the Document is a side effect of searching, build runs that pay off even when it doesn't drop:
- Search coats, drawers and document boxes. Many players skip them, but they show up repeatedly in the find list.
- Stack your reasons to open those containers. Morefun's Season 7 notes say Improvement Blueprints are "more likely to appear in document boxes, clothing, and drawers", so the same containers feed your Workbench.
- Hit free safes in Season 7. They're quick, and through November 25 (UTC+0) safes on any map can also roll the Halloween event's Fading Dawn collectible.
- Run a cheap kit on Normal if you're new. Finds on Normal are real, and a cheap death hurts less. Our Farm map guide lists key rooms and free safes.
- Hold your nerve after the find. Stop fighting and extract. One player in the Valley thread said they ran for extract on Lockdown Airport with endurance boosters, even with the Document already safe in their lockbox.
Should you sell the Secret Document or keep it?
Keep it if you have Koen to spare. Sell it if you're rebuilding. The maths favours holding once your stash starts to clog.
Morefun says the Collection Room lets you "freely store and retrieve Gold Bounty items to free up your Storage space." Season 7 raised the red drop storage limit to 999. That makes a Document close to a free vault:
| Storing 16M Koen as | Storage slots used |
|---|---|
| Koen stacks (players report 5M per stack) | 4 |
| A Document in Storage | 2 |
| A Document in the Collection Room | 0 |
Sell it if you're short on kits, a run of deaths has drained your stash, or 16M would change what you can bring. Sixteen million buys a lot of raids, and our Koen guide shows it's far faster to earn than to find another Document.
Keep it if you've got healthy liquid Koen, it's your first, or you care about the collection. Two players in one thread told the same story: they sold their first while holding plenty of Koen and regretted it.
Your stash also won't reset. ABI doesn't wipe stashes between seasons, so a stored Document can wait for the day you need it.
FAQ
What does the Secret Document do in Arena Breakout: Infinite? Nothing we could find beyond its value. It's a red collectible with no known crafting, barter or mission use. You can sell it to a Contact or store it in your Collection Room.
How much is a Secret Document worth in ABI? Players report about 16–17M Koen from a Contact. The item shows a higher value of around 23.9M, but that isn't what you receive. Check the sell screen in your client for today's exact figure.
Can you sell or buy the Secret Document on the Market? No. Morefun delisted Gold Bounty collectibles from the Market with Season 4 on January 8, 2026. Sell it to a Contact instead. Buying one through an in-raid hand-off risks confiscation and bans.
Where is the best place to find a Secret Document? There isn't one. It has no fixed spawn. Players report it in safes, coats, drawers and document boxes on Farm, Valley, Armory, Airport and TV Station, across Normal, Lockdown and Forbidden.
Is the Secret Document more common in Forbidden? Unproven. Morefun publishes no drop rates, and players disagree. Many finds come from Normal and Lockdown, which probably reflects how many raids people play there.
Can you put the Secret Document in your Case? Yes. A November 2026 screenshot shows one in a Composite Case. That's the safest move, because Case items survive death.
