Dragon is the most expensive fruit in Blox Fruits and one of the most in-demand fruits on every trade value list. It's also the fruit with the most outdated advice online. Old guides still describe the pre-rework Dragon, the Dragon Token mess from December 2024, or a 2,600 Robux price that hasn't existed for almost two years.
This guide covers the Dragon you can actually get today: what it costs, how East and West differ, every move with its mastery and cooldown, how the Fury Meter works, every way to obtain it (including the Gacha change in Update 30) and what it trades for in October 2026.
Quick answer: Dragon is a Mythical Beast-type Blox Fruit that costs 15,000,000 Beli or 5,000 Robux at the Blox Fruit Dealer, the highest price of any fruit. It comes in two variants, East and West, which share one mastery bar. Its moves unlock at 1, 75, 150, 250 and 350 mastery, and the full transformation gives 60% damage resistance and immunity to all stuns. Since Update 30, Dragon can be rolled from the Blox Fruit Gacha at any time. Community trackers put physical West Dragon at about 3.5B–3.7B, physical East Dragon at about 3.0B–3.1B and permanent Dragon at 6.67B (checked October 26, 2026).

What is the Dragon fruit in Blox Fruits, and how much does it cost?
Dragon is a Mythical Beast-type fruit that was first added in Update 13 and completely rebuilt in Update 24 (December 2024). Its in-game Shop description reads, verbatim: "Transforms the user into a mighty Dragon, allowing them to rule over the skies with scorching flames."

Two things make Dragon different from every other fruit:
- It's the priciest fruit in the game. The 5,000 Robux price was a 92.3% increase over the pre-rework 2,600 Robux, and the Beli price jumped from 3,500,000 to 15,000,000. The wiki calls it "the most expensive and difficult-to-obtain fruit in the game."
- It has two versions under one fruit. A physical Dragon is either an East or a West fruit. Permanent Dragon lets you pick the version you use. Either way, mastery is shared between both variants, so you never have to grind it twice.

East vs West Dragon: which one is better?
Both variants share the same base and Hybrid moveset. They only split once you fully transform. The Eastern Dragon is a long serpent from East Asian myth. The Western Dragon is an armoured wyvern from European folklore.

The wiki's own verdict is that East is "better for grinding compared to the Western form", while West gets the edge almost everywhere else. Its F move, Draconic Soar, can drag an opponent into the sea, which the wiki says "instantly drowns opponents and kills them when used over the sea". That PvP edge is one reason West tends to trade higher.
Players lean the same way. In an r/bloxfruits thread asking which Dragon is better (October 24, 2026), one reply put it bluntly: "they're supposed to have different style of fighting but west is basically better in every single way." That's one player's opinion, not a ruling, but it matches the trade values below. Our pick: take West if you PvP or bounty hunt, take East if you mostly grind and raid. With permanent Dragon you don't have to choose for good.
How do the Fury Meter and Hybrid Form work?
Dragon doesn't transform on a cooldown. It runs on its Fury Meter, which comes in two stages.
- Orange meter (first stage): refills slowly over time while you're not transformed and drains with every move. When it's full, pressing V puts you in Hybrid Form.
- Red meter (second stage): fills only by dealing damage. When it's full, V puts you into the full East or West Dragon.
The passives that come with each stage:

Hybrid Form is the form you'll use most outside full transformation. You keep your weapons, gain damage resistance and get bigger hitboxes. Full Dragon form locks you out of fighting styles, swords and guns, but it can't be stunned. The wiki notes that while transformed the meter doesn't drain on its own, so you can stay in Dragon form indefinitely as long as you keep landing hits and don't get emptied.
One caveat: Dragon held the highest damage reduction in the game at 60% until Update 30, when Magnet arrived with 62.5%.
What are all the Dragon fruit moves?
Base form and Hybrid Form use the same keys, mastery and cooldowns. Hybrid versions hit harder, reach further and add burn.

In base and Hybrid form, every move drains part of the Fury Meter except TAP. According to the wiki, Z costs roughly 4%, F about 2.5%, X about 6% and C between 9% and 24% depending on how many fireballs land. Transforming into Hybrid costs about 15%, going full Dragon about 30%, and reverting to base form costs nothing. Once you're fully transformed it works the other way round: most transformed moves give Fury back when they connect, which is how you stay in Dragon form for long fights.
Note that V, the transformation, needs 350 mastery. Until then Dragon is a strong but ordinary fruit. That's why the community lists "high mastery requirements" as Dragon's main downside for new owners.
How do you get the Dragon fruit in Blox Fruits?
There are five ways. Three of them are random (Gacha, Dragon Egg, Dealer stock). The other two are deterministic: Robux buys permanent Dragon outright, and a trade gets you the exact variant you agree on.
- Blox Fruit Gacha (our pick for a free route). Since Update 30, East and West Dragon are "permanently rollable" from the Blox Fruit Gacha. In the First Sea the Gacha moved to Middle Town in the same update (it's at the Café in the Second Sea and the Mansion in the Third). You get one roll every two hours. A roll costs 25,000 + 150 × (your level − 1) Beli, so 444,850 Beli at level 2,800. Roblox Plus subscribers get 20% off. The roll odds for Dragon aren't published, so treat it as a lottery ticket you buy every two hours.
- Dragon Egg on Prehistoric Island. Picking up a Dragon Egg after the Volcano Event has a very small chance (the wiki lists 0.1%–0.5%) of giving a physical East or West Dragon. You need the Dojo Belt (Black) and the Dragon Tether from the Dragon Wizard first, the relic must finish above 90% health, and during the event you must have damaged a Lava Golem at least once or destroyed a volcano crack/hotspot. Each player can pick up one egg per event.
- Blox Fruit Dealer stock (Beli). 15,000,000 Beli, but only when Dragon appears in the Dealer's rotating stock. The wiki notes that the reworked Dragon had a 0% stock chance in the game files at one point, so don't plan around it.
- Robux. 5,000 Robux buys permanent Dragon, and you choose East or West.
- Trading. Dragon carries 9–10/10 demand on every tracker below, so expect to pay an overpay. Check our Blox Fruits trading tier list before you accept an offer.
What happened to Dragon Tokens? When Update 24 reworked Dragon, old Dragon fruits were turned into Dragon Tokens. After heavy backlash, the tokens were changed three days later, on December 17, 2024. Physical Dragon owners got a physical East or West Dragon, and permanent owners got to pick a permanent version. The old Dragon (Classic) is now unobtainable. If a video still tells you to "redeem a Dragon Token", it's out of date.

Is Dragon good for grinding, raids and PvP?
Yes to all three, with different strengths per variant.
- Grinding: The wiki lists Dragon as "nice for grinding, due to the high AoE, damage and the M1 ability". East full form is the better grinder. If you're still under max level, our best grinding fruits guide compares Dragon against cheaper options like Buddha.
- Raids: Both transformed variants are rated "great for raids" thanks to 60% damage resistance and stun immunity.
- Sea events: Dragon is a go-to fruit for Leviathan hunts because the Hybrid M1 hits the Leviathan's segments well. The wiki still rates Magma better for the head.
- PvP: West is the PvP pick. Its transformed moves (except F) always break Instinct, it's the fastest flyer in the game, and the sea-drag F makes bounty hunting easy. The counter to watch for is Cursed Dual Katana's X, which ignores Dragon's damage reduction.
A practical tip from the wiki: turn off screen shake when you play Dragon in PvP or against bosses. It makes the transformed beams much easier to aim.
What does the Dragon Tamer unlock at 500 mastery?
At 500 mastery, talk to the Dragon Tamer NPC to let allies ride your transformed Dragon.
- Where: Second Sea, on the pillar closest to the Cursed Ship at Graveyard Island. Third Sea, outside the Dragon Dojo on Hydra Island, above the Hydra Town quest giver.
- What: West gets a Saddle for up to 5 riders. East gets Strong Hair for up to 4 riders.
- Cost: 5,000 Fragments per variant, so 10,000 Fragments if you want both.
The NPC tells you exactly where you stand. Below 500 mastery it says: "Your connection to the <Dragon> is still weak. Strengthen it by Reaching 500 Mastery, and the path forward will reveal itself." If you only buy one, the wiki recommends West first, since it has more seats and flies faster.
How much is the Dragon fruit worth in trading?
These are community values, not official prices. Roblox and Gamer Robot don't publish trade values, and every list moves daily. Here's what three independent trackers showed on October 26, 2026:

What the numbers tell you:
- West is worth about 17–19% more than East as a physical fruit on every list.
- Permanent Dragon sits at 6.67B on all three, roughly double a physical one, and it's the highest permanent fruit value on BloxRant. Only some limited items, like the Ember West Dragon skin (7.2B on BloxRant), trade higher.
- All three trackers mark Dragon's trend as "Overpaid", meaning it's trading above its long-term fair value. Expect to add on top if you're the one asking.

The trend since Update 26 is clear: Dragon was nerfed hard after the rework, then buffed back up across 26.8, 27.5 and 29.6. Nothing in Gamer Robot's official Halloween teaser, The Blox Bulletin #025 (October 17, 2026), mentions a Dragon change, but we'll update this guide if the October 31 patch touches it.

Do you get both East and West Dragon? Only with permanent Dragon, which lets you choose the version you use. A physical Dragon is either East or West. Mastery is shared between the two, so switching never resets your progress.

Is Dragon Talon the same as the Dragon fruit? No. Dragon Talon is a fighting style, not a Blox Fruit. It's unrelated to the Dragon fruit's moves, price or trade value.
