Quick answer (TL;DR): Patchwork is the base (static) camo on the Warzone tab of the Camo Costume Party event in Black Ops 7 and Warzone (Season 6: The Haunting). You earn Patchwork by completing Warzone weapon class challenges — one per weapon class — and the Warzone tab has the shortest, fastest challenges in the whole event, which is exactly why it's the quickest costume camo to grab. The catch: the event ends October 8, 2026 at 10 AM PT, so with roughly two days left you need to grind Warzone now or Patchwork is gone for good. The fastest route is playing Resurgence and swapping to each weapon class as you clear its objective.
The Camo Costume Party is the last big camo grind of The Haunting before Modern Warfare 4 resets everything on October 23, and most of its camos are limited-time. Patchwork is the one people keep asking how to get "real fast" — and the honest answer is that it's genuinely the easiest of the nine event camos to finish, as long as you know which mode it lives in and don't waste time grinding the wrong tab. This guide covers exactly what Patchwork is, where to find it, the fastest clear order, and how to fix it if your challenges stop tracking before the deadline.

What is the Patchwork camo in BO7?
Patchwork is one of the nine Camo Costume Party event camos in Black Ops 7 Season 06. The event runs across four modes at once — Co-Op & Endgame, Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone — and each mode hands out two camos: one base camo for working through its challenges, and one animated Mastery camo for clearing all nine.
Here's where Patchwork sits in the full set, straight from Activision's Season 06 camo checklist:
| Camo | Type | Mode | How you earn it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Undergrowth | Base | Endgame | Endgame weapon class challenges |
| Gravebloom | Animated | Endgame | All 9 Endgame challenges |
| Gray Matter | Base | Multiplayer | Multiplayer weapon class challenges |
| Grubs | Animated | Multiplayer | All 9 Multiplayer challenges |
| Zombie Mai Tai | Base | Zombies | Zombies weapon class challenges |
| Malignant | Animated | Zombies | All 9 Zombies challenges |
| Patchwork | Base | Warzone | Warzone weapon class challenges |
| Death Row | Animated | Warzone | All 9 Warzone challenges |
| Oozed | Secret Mastery | All four modes | All 36 challenges |
So Patchwork is the Warzone base camo. You don't need to finish all nine Warzone classes to start earning it — each Warzone class challenge you complete awards the Patchwork camo for that class (the same way February's Escalation Directive event handed out its mode camo per class as soon as you cleared that class). Clear all nine Warzone classes and you also unlock Death Row, the animated Warzone Mastery camo — the coldest-looking one in the set and, again, the fastest animated camo to earn because the Warzone objectives are the shortest.
Patchwork is a static camo, not animated — if you want an animated finish out of the Warzone tab, that's Death Row. But for a clean, quick costume camo that most players can still realistically finish in the final days, Patchwork is the pick.
Where to find the Patchwork challenges
Open the in-game menu and go to Challenges → Events, then select the Warzone tab (the four tabs are Co-Op & Endgame, Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone). The Warzone tab holds exactly nine challenges — one for each weapon class: Assault Rifles, SMGs, Shotguns, LMGs, Marksman Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Pistols, Launchers & Specials, and Melee.
You must have the Season 6 update installed for the event tabs to appear. If you don't see them, close and relaunch — the event card only loads after the patch is applied.
The fastest way to unlock Patchwork
Patchwork is a per-class reward, so the fastest path is to clear Warzone class challenges one at a time, switching your loadout to match whichever class you still need. A few principles make this far quicker:
- Play Resurgence, not big Battle Royale. Resurgence lobbies respawn you, so you rack up kills and objective progress far faster than a single-life BR match. More engagements per minute = faster challenge progress.
- Match your loadout to the class you're grinding. Only kills with a weapon of that class tick its challenge. Run a dual-class loadout — e.g. an SMG primary plus a pistol — so you can knock out two classes in the same match.
- Save the awkward classes for the end. Launchers & Specials, Melee, and Snipers are the fiddly ones in Warzone. Clear the easy, high-kill classes (AR, SMG, LMG, Shotgun) first so you bank most of the tab quickly, then mop up the slow classes.
- Use Plunder or high-kill modes for weapon classes that need volume. If a class challenge is a raw kill count, a respawn-heavy mode gets you there fastest.
Because each completed class gives Patchwork for that class and 2,500 XP, you'll see the camo start appearing in your locker as you go — you don't have to wait for the full tab. If your only goal is Patchwork across your mains, you may only need to clear the handful of classes you actually use.
| Reward | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Patchwork (base camo) | Complete that weapon class's Warzone challenge |
| Death Row (animated Mastery) | Complete all 9 Warzone class challenges |
| Arcblade melee weapon | Complete any 9 event challenges (any modes) |
| Per challenge | 2,500 XP; 10,000 XP for finishing a full mode |
One bonus worth knowing: completing any nine event challenges across any modes unlocks the Arcblade melee weapon. If you're clearing the full Warzone tab for Death Row, that's nine challenges — so you'll bag the Arcblade on the same grind. Unlike the event camos, the Arcblade becomes an Armory Unlock after the event, so it's the one reward here that isn't lost on the deadline.

How much time is left?
The Camo Costume Party launched with Season 06 on September 17, 2026 at 9 AM PT and runs for 21 days, ending October 8, 2026 at 10 AM PT. As of this writing that's roughly two days of grind time remaining.
When the timer hits zero, every event camo you haven't earned — Patchwork included — is locked for good. There's no store purchase and no catch-up later. And because Modern Warfare 4 launches October 23 and resets weapon progression, this is the final camo event of the BO7 cycle. If Patchwork is on your list, it's now or never. (For what survives the jump to MW4 and what doesn't, see our BO7 camos carry to MW4 breakdown.)
If you're short on time and want the camo locked in without the last-48-hours scramble, our team runs the BO7 mastery camo unlock service — real players, no cheats, finished before the event window closes.
What if your Warzone camo challenges aren't tracking?
Costume Party challenges have had tracking hiccups all season, and a stuck challenge near the deadline is the worst-case scenario. Quick fixes that work most of the time:
- Confirm the exact wording in-game. Treyarch has quietly tweaked a couple of event requirements mid-event. Read the live event card before you commit a loadout — a challenge may want eliminations in a specific way, not just kills.
- Make sure you're using a weapon of the right class. Legacy/MWIII weapons used in Warzone have caused camo-tracking confusion; use a current BO7-era weapon of the exact class the challenge lists.
- Finish the match. Early-leave or a crash can drop progress that was pending at match end.
- Restart the game after a challenge visibly fails to update — a full relaunch forces the event card to re-sync.
If a challenge still won't move, we have a dedicated walkthrough: BO7 camo challenges not tracking after the update — the fix that works. FAQ
What is the Patchwork camo in Black Ops 7? Patchwork is the base (static) camo on the Warzone tab of the Season 6 Camo Costume Party event. You earn it by completing Warzone weapon class challenges during the event, which runs September 17 – October 8, 2026.
How do you unlock Patchwork fast? Play Warzone Resurgence and complete the Warzone weapon class challenges, switching your loadout to match each class. Clear the easy high-kill classes (AR, SMG, LMG, Shotgun) first and save Launchers, Melee, and Snipers for last. Each completed class awards Patchwork for that class plus 2,500 XP.
Is Patchwork animated? No. Patchwork is a static base camo. The animated Warzone Mastery camo is Death Row, which you get for completing all nine Warzone class challenges.
When does the Camo Costume Party event end? It ends October 8, 2026 at 10 AM PT, 21 days after Season 6 launched. Any event camo you haven't earned by then is locked permanently — there's no store purchase or later catch-up.
Do I lose Patchwork when Modern Warfare 4 launches? You keep camos you've already unlocked, but weapon camos do not carry over as usable camos into MW4's new weapons, and the event itself ends well before MW4's October 23 launch. If you want Patchwork, earn it before October 8.
Does unlocking Patchwork also get me the Arcblade? Clearing the full Warzone tab is nine challenges, and completing any nine event challenges unlocks the Arcblade melee weapon — so yes, finishing all of Warzone bags both Patchwork for every class, Death Row, and the Arcblade. The Arcblade also becomes an Armory Unlock after the event, unlike the camos.
