The Krasue is the Killer Behaviour's own data says wins the most at the top of the ladder. In Behaviour's official stats window from 1 September 2025 to 28 February 2026, she posted a 67.1% kill rate at high MMR, first of every Killer in the game. She has been out since 23 September 2025 with the Sinister Grace Chapter. For a lot of players she still looks like a floating head that misses half its whips.

This week she is also back in the conversation. Patch 10.2.0 doubled the Exposed timer on her own perk Ravenous, and the killer subreddit spent the 10.2.1 bugfix day insisting she had been buffed. We checked both claims against Behaviour's patch notes. One is real, and the other is not.

Everything below is written against the live build on 15 October 2026, Patch 10.2.1.

Quick answer: how does The Krasue work?

  • She has two forms. Body Form walks at 4.6 m/s with a 32 m terror radius and spits a projectile called a Leeching Gland. Head Form moves at 4.8 m/s with a 40 m terror radius, can Headlong Flight at 7.0 m/s and attacks with the Intestinal Whip.
  • A Gland hit fills a Survivor's Leech Meter instantly (+100 charges) and applies Leeched I. A Whip only adds +34 charges. It cannot injure anyone who is not already Leeched.
  • Leeched I keeps filling on its own at 1.665 charges per second, which works out to about one minute before Leeched II hits. Leeched II injures a healthy Survivor and applies Broken.
  • Survivors clear Leeched by eating Glowing Fungus, which takes 3 seconds and then drains 20 seconds per Leeched level. Getting hooked wipes Leeched completely.
  • Her perks are Ravenous, Wandering Eye and Hex: Overture of Doom. Ravenous got a big 10.2.0 buff. Nothing in 10.2.0 or 10.2.1 touched her power.

What does Body Form do?

Body Form is where the infection starts. You walk as Burong Sukapat at standard Killer speed, carrying the Larb Knife, and you charge Regurgitate to throw a Leeching Gland.

The gland is the part people underestimate. It does not just fly straight. When it hits the environment, it rebounds and splits into 4 mini-glands that home in on any Survivor within 7 metres. Either projectile fills the meter completely. That makes a gland thrown into the side of a loop tile, or into a generator group, a real way to infect two people at once.

Body Form valueLive number
Movement speed4.6 m/s (115%)
Terror radius32 m
Regurgitate recharge2.5 s
Post-throw cool-down1.3 s
Cancelled-charge cool-down1.3 s
Gland launch speed29 m/s
Mini-glands per bounce4, homing within 7 m

Both of those 1.3-second cool-downs come from the 9.2.2 nerf on 7 October 2025. Before that, cancelling a charge cost almost nothing, so Krasue players could fake a throw for free. Now a feint has a real price.

What does Head Form do?

Press the secondary power button and she tears her head free of her body. Corporeal Weave takes 1.2 seconds going into Head Form and 2.2 seconds coming back out, with a 3.5-second cool-down between shifts. The trial also opens with a 5-second lockout.

In Head Form you get three tools:

  • Headlong Flight. A 12-charge gauge that drains at 1 charge per second while flying at 7.0 m/s and refills at 0.4 c/s, so an empty gauge takes 30 seconds to recover. You need at least 25% of the gauge to start. A full tank is about 12 seconds of flight, and the first 2 seconds are spent accelerating to top speed.
  • Intestinal Whip. A 0.3-second wind-up, and the attack ignores obstructions for its first 0.32 seconds. A hit puts it on a 3.2-second cool-down and a miss on 3 seconds. It damages only Survivors who are already Leeched.
  • Pallet vaulting. In Head Form she cannot break a dropped pallet. She vaults across it instead. A pallet stun in Head Form lasts 2.5 seconds instead of the normal 2.

Two more things change in Head Form, and both hurt. Bloodlust is disabled, and your terror radius grows to 40 metres. Survivors will hear the head coming before they see it.

How does Leeched actually work?

This is the system every Krasue match turns on, so here it is in order:

  • Infect. A gland hit sets the Leech Meter to 100 charges, which is Leeched I. Without a gland, each Whip hit adds 34, so three Whips get you there.
  • Punish. While a Survivor has Leeched I, the Intestinal Whip damages them like a normal hit.
  • Tick. Leeched I fills the meter again on its own at 1.665 c/s, about a minute.
  • Break. At Leeched II a healthy Survivor is injured on the spot, and every Leeched II Survivor is Broken regardless of health state.
  • Cleanse. Survivors eat Glowing Fungus to drain the meter, or get hooked, which removes Leeched entirely.

The hook rule is also a 9.2.2 change. Before it, a hook did not fully clear Leeched. Now every hook is a clean slate for the Survivor, which is why good Krasue players keep re-infecting from range instead of chasing for the Whip alone.

Glowing Fungus valueLive number
Fungi at trial start5
Maximum on the map6
Eat interaction3 s
Survivor speed while eating2.832 m/s
Drain after eating5 c/s, about 20 s per Leeched level
Respawn after being eaten90 s

Here is the piece most guides skip. The Krasue spawns new fungi herself. Each time she switches from Body Form to Head Form at least 5 metres away from any interactable object or other fungus, a new Glowing Fungus appears, up to the cap. Shift in the middle of an open field and you hand the Survivors a cure. Shift next to a generator, a pallet or a wall, and you do not.

Is The Krasue actually strong right now?

Yes, and Behaviour said so in public. The March 2026 stats post put it this way: "leading the carnage in high MMR is the terrifying Krasue, while broad MMR is being tormented by The Lich."

Three caveats keep that number honest:

  • High MMR means 1800 or higher, which Behaviour said covered about 18% of the playerbase when the numbers were pulled. Her broad-MMR kill rate was not in the top five, so on average she is far less scary than the headline.
  • The window is 1 September 2025 to 28 February 2026. It started three weeks before she even released, and it predates both the 10.1.0 matchmaking change and the 10.2.0 perk pass.
  • Her own balance has not moved since. Her last real power changes were the 9.2.1 and 9.2.2 adjustments in the weeks after her launch. Patch 9.5.0 only rewrote the descriptions of two add-ons, Rotten Swine and Mysterious Elixir.

So where did this week's "they buffed Krasue" thread come from? We searched the full 10.2.1 notes for her name, her power and her add-ons, and found zero entries. The 10.2.0 Mid-Chapter notes don't name her either. The only Krasue-relevant change in the current patch cycle is the Ravenous buff below. A Killer feeling better after a perk pass she was never named in usually means the perks moved, not the Killer.

What are The Krasue's perks after Patch 10.2.0?

PerkWhat it does on 10.2.1Changed in 10.2.0?
RavenousEarn 1 token the first time you hook each Survivor, up to 4. Each token gives +4% Haste while carrying and +4% hook speed. At 4 tokens, every Survivor screams and is Exposed for 80/85/90 sYes, Exposed was 40/50/60 s and the per-token bonuses are new
Wandering EyeWhen you start a chase, see the auras of other injured Survivors within 20 m for 5 s. Cool-down 40/35/30 sNo
Hex: Overture of DoomCurses the farthest generator from the totem. Anyone repairing it for 5 s moves your 32 m terror radius onto that generator and makes you Undetectable for 20/25/30 s. Once that generator is completed, the next-farthest one is cursedNo

Behaviour's 10.2.0 PTB dev note on the Ravenous change is the best summary of why it matters: "Hooking each Survivor once can be a difficult task. We want the reward to feel impactful, adding extra duration to the Exposed status allows more time to find and down Survivors."

Ninety seconds of Exposed on every Survivor at once is a long window. Players pushed back that Survivors simply hide once it fires, and that slow basic-attack Killers cannot reach them in time. That complaint is exactly why Ravenous fits The Krasue better than most Killers. Headlong Flight crosses a map at 7 m/s, and Wandering Eye shows you who is injured the moment you start a chase. Once Ravenous fires, you have the mobility to cash it in.

Prestiging The Krasue adds Tier I of all three perks to every other Killer's inventory. You can also catch them in the Shrine of Secrets.

What are the best Krasue builds?

Two loadouts built only from perks whose current values we verified against the 10.2.0 notes:

Ravenous snowball. Ravenous, Wandering Eye, Scourge Hook: Monstrous Shrine, Machine Learning. Monstrous Shrine now turns 4 random hooks plus the basement hooks into Scourge Hooks. While you are at least 24 metres from a Survivor on one, generators nobody is repairing regress at 150/175/200% speed. Machine Learning now compromises up to 3 generators at a time (it used to be 1) and rewards you with 8% Haste and Undetectable for 40/50/60 seconds when one is completed. Fly away from the hook, and the regression and the haste both stack in your favour.

Teachable trio. Ravenous, Wandering Eye and Hex: Overture of Doom, plus one slot of your choice. Overture of Doom plays to her real strength, which is arriving out of nowhere at a generator. It also has an achievement attached. Adept Krasue requires a Merciless Victory using only these three perks.

Which Krasue add-ons are worth running?

She has 20 add-ons. Sorted by job, these are the ones that change how she plays:

JobAdd-onEffect
Faster infectionChicken HeadEvery Survivor starts the trial with Leeched I, and 2 extra fungi spawn
Faster infectionWriggling ParasiteLeech Meter charges 16% faster
Faster infectionQueen's SceptreA successful Whip hit spatters a Leeching Gland from the Survivor
Flight uptimeFramed Newspaper+6 Headlong Flight charges and +15% recharge, but you need 50% to start
Flight uptimeDulled KnifeFlight drains 25% slower, but any Survivor eating fungus also gets 5% Haste and Elusive for 5 s
Flight uptimeCrumpled Sheet MusicA gland hit instantly adds 12 flight charges
Flight uptimeJanjira's Hand+2 charges and faster recharge per finished generator, full refill on the last one
InformationShredded GownDuring a form shift, see Survivors within 8 m of or holding a fungus
InformationTheatre BinocularsA Whip hit on a non-Leeched Survivor reveals others within 24 m for 6 s
InformationPig's EyeSurvivors eating fungus 40 m or more away are revealed for 6 s
Map controlMysterious ElixirGlands mark windows, and vaulting a marked window blocks it for 10 s
Map controlRotten SwineGlands mark a wall, generator or pallet for +15% break and damage speed
EndgameSpattered HandkerchiefGates powered: all Survivors get Leeched I and all fungi start decaying
Anti-cleanseChunk of MalaiFungus drains 8% slower per Leeched Survivor, up to 32%

Chicken Head is the strongest single pick because it removes the infection step from the first chase entirely. Framed Newspaper is the trickiest. It raises the flight gauge to 18 charges, but the 50% start requirement punishes short hops. Pair it with Crumpled Sheet Music if you want to fly constantly. Dulled Knife is a trap if you miss that its second half buffs the Survivors.

How do you counter The Krasue as a Survivor?

  • Eat early, not late. Leeched I becomes Broken in about a minute. A 3-second fungus at the start of that minute is worth far more than the medkit you will want at the end of it.
  • Listen for 40 metres. The jump from a 32 m to a 40 m terror radius is your warning that the head is up. Head Form cannot break pallets, so drop them and make her vault or eat the 2.5-second stun.
  • Use tall loops against the Whip. It only ignores obstructions for 0.32 seconds. Past that, obstacles block it again. Short loops with low cover are where it lands.
  • Spread out at generators. Gland splits home in from 7 m, so a three-person generator can be one throw away from three infections.
  • Respect Ravenous. If she has already hooked three different Survivors, her first hook on the fourth one makes everyone Exposed for up to 90 seconds. That is the moment to stop healing and start hiding or finishing the last generator.
  • A hook is a reset. Getting hooked removes Leeched. If you are about to go down anyway, do not waste a fungus run first.

FAQ

Who is The Krasue in DBD? She is Burong Sukapat, a Thai opera singer cursed into becoming a Krasue, the floating-head spirit of Thai folklore. She is an original Behaviour Killer from the Sinister Grace Chapter, released on 23 September 2025 alongside the Survivor Vee Boonyasak.

How much does The Krasue cost? As an original, non-licensed Killer she can be bought in-game for 500 Auric Cells or 9,000 Iridescent Shards. The Sinister Grace Chapter is listed at $7.99. She is not on the permanently discounted list for older original Killers.

Was The Krasue buffed in Patch 10.2.1? No. The 10.2.1 notes contain no Krasue, Unbodied Flesh or add-on entries. The change players are feeling is her teachable perk Ravenous, whose Exposed duration went from 40/50/60 to 80/85/90 seconds in Patch 10.2.0 on 6 October 2026.

How long does Leeched take to break you? Leeched I refills the meter at 1.665 charges per second, so it takes about 60 seconds to reach Leeched II. At that point a healthy Survivor is injured and every Leeched II Survivor is Broken.

Does getting hooked remove Leeched? Yes. Since Patch 9.2.2, Leeched is completely removed when a Survivor is hooked.

Is The Krasue hard to play? Behaviour's official character page rates her difficulty as medium. The skill is in deciding where to switch forms and in throwing glands into bounces, not in aiming the Whip.

Is The Krasue the best Killer in DBD? Behaviour's official data had her first for kill rate at high MMR, at 67.1% between 1 September 2025 and 28 February 2026. She was not in the broad-MMR top five, where The Lich led at 65.5%. That makes her a high-skill payoff Killer, not an easy carry.

Bottom line

The Krasue is a two-step Killer: infect in Body Form, then cash in from the air. Every one of her numbers serves that loop. A 100-charge gland or three 34-charge Whips get a Survivor Leeched, a one-minute fuse turns that into Broken, and Headlong Flight gets you to whoever is still standing. The 10.2.0 Ravenous buff did not change that loop. It added a 90-second finisher to it that suits her better than almost anyone else on the roster.

If you play against her, eat fungus early, listen for the 40-metre radius, and stop healing the moment the fourth Survivor gets hooked.
