⚡ TL;DR — Delta Force Season Reorientation, now that it's live
- Season "Reorientation" (S11) launched September 8, 2026 as a no-downtime update on PC, mobile and console — closing out Season Meltdown (S10), whose final playable day was September 7.
- Two new guns: the MDR Assault Rifle and Thompson SMG. Both were briefly unobtainable on global at launch; the September 9 patch fixed that — the Warfare Armory now shows the new-season weapons.
- AZ3 - Normal is now permanently available (September 9 patch) — no more waiting for it in map rotation. AZ3 Normal entry still costs 112,500 Tekniq Alloys.
- New Warfare map "The Mog" (Mogadishu street warfare, push-cart tug-of-war, UH-60 Black Hawk air support) got a day-1 rework to its Attack & Defend layout and the Escort-the-Convoy timer.
- Fishing unlocks at Operations Level 17; the in-match map unlocks at Operations Level 4.
- Rover is a free Season Pass unlock. Hudson's Surge Squad boss AI got nerfed — it can no longer lock onto you through walls.
Season "Reorientation" is live. The pre-launch preview told you what was coming; this guide is the after-action report — what actually shipped on September 8, plus the September 9 balance-and-bug patch that landed one day later to clean up the launch. Everything below is pulled verbatim from Team Jade's official Steam posts (the September 6 Version Update and the September 9 "Balance Adjustments & Bug Fixes" update), cross-checked against launch-day player reports on r/DeltaForceGlobal. No reseller "leaks," no invented version numbers.
| *Verified against the official Delta Force Steam news feed (app 2507950): the "Version Update: New Season 'Reorientation'" post (September 6, 2026) and the "Update | Balance Adjustments & Bug Fixes" post (published September 9, rolling out with no downtime on September 9–10). Team Jade does not publish a semver for global PC builds, so there is no "update 1.04x" — the patches are titled, not numbered. We refer to the balance update as the "September 9 patch" below, matching its publish date.* |

Is it "Season 11" or "Reorientation"? (both, actually)
Quick disambiguation, because the community is split. The season's name is "Reorientation" — the 2nd anniversary season. That's what you'll see marketed and what to search for. But Team Jade's own launch post also uses "S11" as the numeric shorthand, exactly the way Meltdown was "S10": the patch text lists "S11 Basic / Advanced / Top Supply Pack" collectible tables and "the S11 Warfare Season Challenge." So both are correct — "Reorientation" is the name, "S11" is the number. What's wrong is calling the season itself "Season 11" as if that were its title; several top-up sites do, and it's a tell that they're guessing rather than reading the notes.
Meltdown (S10) ran its final playable day on September 7. Reorientation went live the next day as a no-downtime update across PC, mobile and console — if your client is out of date you'll be forced to update before you can log in.
What are the new weapons in Season Reorientation?
Two new firearms landed in the Arsenal:
| Weapon | Type | How to unlock |
|---|---|---|
| MDR | Assault Rifle | New Arsenal weapon; complete in-match Kill Missions with it (and the Thompson) to earn Elegant Black - UZI and Armament Vouchers. |
| Thompson | SMG | Same New Firearm event track as the MDR. |
Heads-up if the guns look locked: at launch, a lot of players — including on PC — reported the MDR and Thompson as unobtainable on global, with the seasonal challenge page not showing any mission to get them. One player summed up the actual unlock path: "You need to find one and extract with it" in Operations before it shows up in Warfare. The September 9 patch fixed the display bug directly — the notes list "Fixed an issue where the Armory in Warfare did not display new weapons from the current season." If you updated on day one and couldn't find them, grab the September 9 update and check the Armory again.
On the cosmetic side, Reorientation adds 9 new firearm appearances: the Epic Great White set (FS-12, VSS, AKS-74) and the Rare Haavk Guard (SCAR-H, AKM) and Crane Dance (M16A4, SVD, G18C, M14) sets. A new MandelBrick - Velocity series is also live — and note the housekeeping in the notes: older MandelBrick series still drop but at reduced rates, series 5+ seasons old become rare drops, and Spectrum Blitz S2 is now a rare drop. Older appearances stay tradable on the Market.
The Mog: what changed on day one
The headline Warfare map, The Mog, brings Black Hawk Down–style Mogadishu street fighting to Warfare, complete with push-cart tug-of-war objectives and UH-60 Black Hawk suppressive air support. It shipped September 8 — and got reworked less than 24 hours later, which tells you the launch layout wasn't balanced.
The September 9 patch made these Attack & Defend (A/D) changes to The Mog:
- Moved the deployment points for the Sector B and Sector C phases.
- Adjusted Sector C's boundary and combat area, and reduced the number of Deployment Bases above the attacking team's position in Sector C.
- C2 is now a Secondary Objective.
- Escort the Convoy got a big pass: less damage to the convoy from anti-vehicle mines, Guided Missiles and Artillery Barrages, a slightly faster convoy, and a retuned timer — initial time 4:30, +45 seconds at each checkpoint — plus shorter attacker deployment distance.
That last block matters if you were bouncing off the convoy phase on launch night: the objective is now more survivable for attackers and less of a stalemate.
AZ3 - Normal is now permanent (the biggest Operations change)
The single most useful line in the September 9 patch for extraction players: "AZ3 - Normal is now permanently available." Previously AZ3, the Nuclear Plant map with the radiation mechanic, cycled in and out of the Operations map rotation. Now Normal difficulty is always queueable.
If you're new to AZ3, the fundamentals from Meltdown still apply: Operations Level 9 unlocks AZ3 Easy, Level 14 unlocks AZ3 Normal, and Normal entry costs 112,500 Tekniq Alloys. It's the first map with a survivability stat gate (the radiation/decontamination system), so bring your Black Site Decontamination Chamber tier into account before you queue.
Reorientation also reworked two other Operations surfaces:
- Layali Grove 2.0 (live Sept 8 – Oct 8): new areas and a new benchmark, plus the three fishing-veteran characters. The September 9 patch also trimmed Taj Faris's Layali Grove mission so Phase 1 only needs to be completed once, and fixed a couple of its interactables.
- Space City extraction rework: Black Chamber and Buoyancy Lab now have randomized switch extraction locations, and a new Central Garden one-way elevator route gives you more ways out.
How do you unlock Fishing in Delta Force?
Fishing unlocks at Operations Level 17. That's confirmed in the September 9 patch, which added an in-game dialogue prompt from Joe Reed spelling out the level requirement (and fixed a mismatch where some fishing missions didn't match their stated objectives, plus a fishing-line durability bug). Fishing is the new relaxed solo/co-op activity introduced with Layali Grove 2.0 — rods are configurable like weapons — but a fair warning from launch day: it happens in Operations, so you can absolutely get third-partied mid-cast. As one player put it after getting "shot on sight while fishing more than 4 times," the river is not a safe zone.
While we're on unlock gates: the September 9 patch also moved the in-match Map feature to unlock at Operations Level 4 — handy context if you're leveling a fresh account this season.
Rover, Clover, and the Hudson nerf
Rover (Rowan Walsh) — the new Support operator with his dog Clover — is a free Season Pass track unlock, so you don't have to pay to get him; you unlock the Pass and complete his skill-trial missions ("Man's Best Friend"). The Season Pass runs Sept 8 → Nov 9 and also carries the Hackclaw - Netrunner skin, a Netrunner-K416, a Season Safe Box (2×2 / 2×3), Delta Tickets, Armament Vouchers and Weapon EXP Tokens.
The September 9 patch quietly nerfed a PvE threat: Hudson's Surge Squad (the boss-squad mechanic tied to The Mog) got added vulnerable windows during reloads, turns and between firing bursts, and — the important one — lost its ability to lock onto targets through walls. Hudson is a named story character running that encounter, not a playable operator, so don't expect him in an operator tier list.
Season pass, events and draws at a glance
Reorientation front-loads a lot of time-boxed events. The ones worth knowing on day one:
- New Season Sign-in (9/8–9/17): login-day rewards including a Haavk Guard - M4A1.
- 2nd Anniversary Celebration (9/8–11/9): activity missions → event points → milestones (Golden State - AUG, anniversary cosmetics).
- Weekend Select (9/8–11/9): a token store — earn Weekend Select Tokens from Operations missions, spend on gear tickets, keycard copies and weapons. Tokens expire when the season ends.
- Wyvern Appearance Lucky Draw (9/11–10/10): first draw is 10 Delta Coins / Delta Tickets; no duplicate rewards; guaranteed within the pool.
- 7-Day Login Rewards (9/11–10/1): activation grants Delta Coins-value rewards; log in 7 days to claim the rest.
- Tekniq Alloy Store (9/8–11/9): spend Alloy on Quantum Keys, Logistics Vouchers, and the Advanced Secure Container 7-Day Access Card.
Two currency reminders that trip people up every season: Delta Coins are purchase-only (you cannot earn them in-game), and Tekniq Alloys are the earn-only Operations currency you loot, sell and spend at the Auction House. They are not the same thing, and neither is a "trade for real money" system.
A word on the launch-week enforcement bulletin
| Team Jade published its usual weekly enforcement bulletin on September 7 ("G.T.I. Security | Notice of penalties for violations"), and the September 2 Security Brief detailed a June 2026 cheat-ring bust that put 30+ people in custody, including studios selling paid carry services. If you're new to Delta Force this season, understand that the anti-cheat posture here is unusually aggressive: ACE anti-cheat with DMA Shield, and Secure Boot + TPM 2.0 are a hard requirement — ACE checks both are on the moment you enter the Game Lobby, and if either is off you can't enter a match. That's the same reason a lot of "still crashing on console" and login complaints show up right after a big update; grab the latest client build first. |

FAQ
Is Season Reorientation the same as "Season 11"? Effectively yes — it's the same season. The official name is "Reorientation" (the 2nd anniversary season), and Team Jade's own launch notes use "S11" as the numeric shorthand for its supply packs and Warfare Season Challenge. So "Reorientation (S11)" is correct; calling the season's title "Season 11" is not.
Why can't I get the MDR or Thompson? At launch, many players (including on PC) found both weapons unobtainable and the seasonal challenge page not showing a mission to unlock them. The unlock path is to find one and extract with it in Operations, after which it appears in Warfare. Team Jade's September 9 patch fixed the underlying display bug — "Fixed an issue where the Armory in Warfare did not display new weapons from the current season." Update your client and re-check the Armory.
Is AZ3 always available now? Yes for Normal difficulty. The September 9 patch made AZ3 - Normal permanently available in the Operations rotation. AZ3 Normal still costs 112,500 Tekniq Alloys to enter, and Level 14 is the unlock requirement.
What level do you need to fish? Operations Level 17. Fishing is a Layali Grove 2.0 activity, and the September 9 patch added an in-game prompt confirming the level. Remember it takes place inside Operations, so other players can attack you while you fish.
Did Meltdown (S10) end? Yes. Season Meltdown's final playable day was September 7, and Reorientation launched September 8 as a no-downtime update. Season mission-line progress resets at a season flip, and previous-season Ultimate Safe Box Access and Safe Box Trial Cards expire — but your stash, gear, Tekniq Alloys and account level carry over.
Is there a "Detonation" search-and-destroy mode coming? Players are teasing one on r/DeltaForceGlobal, but it is not in the official launch or September 9 patch notes as of this writing. Treat it as unconfirmed until Team Jade posts it.
