Delta Force Gunsmith Guide: Gunsmith Missions, Hipfire ≥99 & Share Codes (October 2026)

Quick answer: The Gunsmith is Delta Force's weapon-building screen. You fit attachments, and each part moves the gun's stats: Control, Handling, Stability, Hip Fire Accuracy, Range and more. Operations and Warfare keep separate stat values, so a build tuned for one mode doesn't carry over to the other. Gunsmith missions are Operations tasks on the Ahsarah Hotline that ask you to submit a weapon that meets a stat line, for example "Control ≥ 65" or "Hipfire ≥ 99". Submitting consumes the gun, so check the reward before you hand it in. "Hipfire" means the weapon's Hip Fire Accuracy stat. The easiest way to push it to 99 is an SMG plus every attachment with a positive Hip Fire Accuracy value. Builds can be shared as share codes that the Gunsmith imports directly. This guide applies to Season Reorientation (September 8 – November 9, 2026) and was checked against Team Jade's patch notes up to the October 22, 2026 Halloween update.

Key takeaways

  • Stats are per mode. Team Jade's balance notes list separate Operations and Warfare values for the same attachment. Build in the mode you'll actually play.
  • A submitted weapon is gone. Some gunsmith missions give you a copy back as the reward, and some don't. Read the reward line before you press Submit.
  • Hipfire ≥ 99 = Hip Fire Accuracy ≥ 99. SMGs reach it most easily. Lasers, stocks and handstops that add Hip Fire Accuracy do the work.
  • Bought parts count. Weapons and attachments bought from the trading post can be submitted. There's no "found in raid" rule.
  • Old builds can fall below mission thresholds after balance changes. One MK4 barrel's Hip Fire Accuracy went -8 → +4 on May 21 and back +4 → -8 on July 30, 2026, so a saved code can miss a line it used to clear.

What is the Gunsmith in Delta Force?

The Gunsmith is the modification screen you open from a weapon in your loadout or stash. Each attachment slot (muzzle, barrel, handguard, optic, grip, stock, magazine, laser and so on) shows the parts that fit it, and the stat panel updates as you swap them. Team Jade described it before launch as a system "allowing for customization of many aspects of your firearm's handling and design" (PC Alpha announcement on Steam).

It has picked up several useful tools since then, all listed in the official patch notes:

Patch-note dateGunsmith change (official notes)
April 19, 2025Sight reticle preview; attachment list filter "based on desired attributes"; share codes can be sent and copied in chat
September 20, 2025Trial loadouts carry over between Firing Range and Gunsmith; Preview Mode supports Calibrate
January 31, 2026Gunsmith reads a copied share code and offers quick import
April 18, 2026Scheme management: delete, rename and share saved schemes; tap a share code in chat to jump into Gunsmith
April 22, 2026Console players can share and import weapon modification codes from the modification screen
September 5, 2026Hip fire crosshair customization, shareable by share code

The attachment filter is the one most players miss. When a mission asks for a stat, filter the attachment list by that attribute and you'll see straight away which parts push it in the right direction.

What do the Gunsmith stats mean?

These are the stat names Team Jade uses in its balance notes. Mission text sometimes shortens them (for example "Hipfire").

StatWhat it controlsExample from official notes
ControlHow hard recoil pulls the gun while you fireAnchor Point Rail Stock "Control: +4" in both modes (Apr 18, 2026)
HandlingDraw, ADS and movement speed with the gun upSR-3M "Basic Handling: 68 → 63" (Jan 31, 2026)

Hip Fire AccuracyBullet spread when you fire without aimingM7 "Basic Hip Fire Accuracy: 47 → 43" (Jan 31, 2026)
RangeDistance bands before damage falls offMP7 HVK Combat Kit range bands "12m/18m/24m → 20m/27m/40m"
Muzzle VelocityBullet speedAS Val "330 m/s → 300 m/s" in Operations (Apr 18, 2026)

Fire RateRounds per minuteASh-12 HVK Binary Trigger Kit "500 rpm → 400 rpm" (Jun 27, 2026)

Two things trip people up here. First, an attachment usually trades one stat for another. The Echo notes list an AUG 45-round extended mag at "Handling: -8" in Operations, so a bigger mag can drop you under a Handling threshold. Second, the same part has different numbers in each mode. The Desert Eagle Skeleton Competition Kit gives "Range: +3m; Handling: +3" in Operations but "Range: +2m; Handling: +1" in Warfare. If you're building for an Operations mission, look at the Operations numbers.

For how armor and ammo tiers interact with Damage and Armor Penetration, see our ammo and armor penetration guide.

How do gunsmith missions work?

Gunsmith missions are permanent Operations tasks on the Ahsarah Hotline. Players reach them through the department task menu: pick the department, open the task, build or select the weapon, then press Submit. Community guides file the gunsmith chain under the Tactical department, and its tasks come in three types:

  • Submit a gun with specific parts ("Office Work" tasks). For example, an MP5 with a named foregrip, barrel set, scope and silencer.
  • Submit a gun that meets stat thresholds ("Gunsmith" tasks). Usually a short list of required attachment types plus one or two stat lines.
  • Get kills with that gun ("Field Work" tasks), sometimes with a distance or difficulty condition. Kills only count after you accept the task.

The part that confuses new players is what happens after a submit. A post on r/DeltaForceGlobal on October 25, 2026 asked exactly this: "I spend X amounts of TA to build a weapon to submit for minimal rewards, then I get a new mission which is to use that weapon in any operation, but I don't have the weapon anymore." The answer, from another player in the thread: "Some times the reward for submitting a weapon is the same weapon with similar attachments/stats... If it didn't give you a weapon as a reward Just buy a weapon and get the stats/attachments it wants." So the submitted gun is consumed, and the follow-up kill task expects you to bring a fresh copy of the same model.

Example gunsmith mission requirements

Below are stat-threshold tasks as documented by players (mainly this community task guide from October 2025). Team Jade has renumbered and reordered this chain since launch (early guides call the SMG-45 task "Gunsmith #1", later ones give that slot to the SG552), so go by the weapon name and always check the requirement text in your own client.

WeaponRequired partsStat line
SG552—Control ≥ 65, Handling ≥ 60
SMG-45Any scope + any suppressorControl ≥ 65, Handling ≥ 60
M8703x+ scope, laser, lightControl ≥ 40, Handling ≥ 47
.357 Revolver3x+ scope, suppressorOptimal range ≥ 40m
M14Laser, scope, canted sight, 50-round drumControl ≥ 58
M249Laser, flashlight, canted sightHipfire ≥ 70
Vector70-round drum, variable-zoom scopeEffective range ≥ 18m, Control ≥ 60
M700—Optimal range ≥ 195m

Cost tip: put the required parts on first, then fill the remaining slots to reach the stat line. That order stops you paying for a part you'd have to remove anyway. Attachment prices move with the market, so the cheapest build changes week to week. Our auction house guide explains how prices move, and the Tekniq Alloy guide covers earning the currency you'll spend.

What does "Hipfire ≥ 99" mean, and how do you reach it?

"Hipfire" in mission text is the weapon's Hip Fire Accuracy stat. That's how Team Jade labels it in every balance note. A "Hipfire ≥ 99" requirement means the stat panel must read 99 or 100 for that weapon in the Gunsmith. When a player asked about it on r/DeltaForceGlobal on October 25, 2026, the clearest reply was: "Max out the gun accuracy. Accuracy is the stat that determines hip fire spread."

How to get there:

  • Start with a gun that has high base Hip Fire Accuracy. SMGs are the safe pick. Players in an r/DeltaForceMobile thread from September 2026 on the same requirement reported clearing it with the MP5, Uzi, SMG-45 and Bizon, said the SR-3M "can be made to have over 99 hipfire", and noted that most assault rifles can get there with enough parts.
  • Open the attachment filter and sort by Hip Fire Accuracy. Stocks, handstops, lasers and some muzzles carry positive values. Official examples: the Resonant MKIII Grip adds +8 in both Operations and Warfare (Echo notes, April 18, 2026), and the QR High-Performance Stock and EC Universal Front Hand Stop were each cut from +16 to +8 on March 5, 2026.
  • Strip anything negative. Some barrels and big magazines cost Hip Fire Accuracy. The SR-3M Cast Steel Tactical Barrel went "Hip Fire Accuracy: 0 → -12" in the January 2026 notes.
  • Check the number in Operations. If you're on the Warfare side of the Gunsmith, you're reading the wrong table.
  • Test in the Firing Range before buying. Since September 2025, trial loadouts carry between the Firing Range and the Gunsmith, so you can try a build without paying for it first.

We don't publish a single "Hipfire 99 code" here on purpose: codes are tied to attachment values that Team Jade keeps adjusting, and the stat panel is the only reliable check. If a follow-up task then asks for kills with that weapon, a hip-fire build is genuinely good up close. One player suggested farming the kills with Vyron and going "all hipfire".

How do you use Delta Force share codes (loadout codes)?

A share code is a text string that rebuilds a whole weapon setup in someone else's Gunsmith. Current codes posted by players start with the weapon name, usually followed by the mode and then the code itself (for example "SMG-45 Submachine Gun-Warfare-…"), so you can tell a Warfare build from an Operations one at a glance. Import the right mode for what you're doing.

On PC:

  • Copy the code (from chat, Discord or a video description).
  • Open the Gunsmith for that weapon. Since the January 31, 2026 update it "read[s] copied share codes" and offers a quick import.
  • If the code was posted in in-game chat, tap it. Since April 18, 2026: "Press the code to jump directly into Gunsmith and apply the shared build scheme."
  • Buy any parts you're missing, then save it as a scheme so you can rename, re-share or delete it later.

On console: share and import from the weapon's modification screen. Team Jade added this on April 22, 2026.

Why an old share code can stop meeting a mission

A code saves parts, not stats. When Team Jade rebalances an attachment, the code still builds the same gun, but the numbers change. The MK4 Deep Space Chrome Barrel is the clearest example: Hip Fire Accuracy -8 → +4 on May 21, 2026, then +4 → -8 again in the July 30, 2026 Operations balance notes, which add "Increased hip fire spread while firing continuously". A Hipfire build that leaned on that barrel could have cleared a threshold in June and missed it in August. Team Jade has also had to fix the importer itself: the December 2025 notes list "Fixed weapon code import function" and a fix for "attachments from some weapon share codes [being] equipped incorrectly".

So after any balance patch, import the code, then check the stat panel against the mission line before you submit.

Gunsmith checklist before you press Submit

  • Right weapon model (the SMG-45 and the MP5 are not interchangeable)
  • Every required part type is fitted (scope, suppressor, laser, light, drum, and so on)
  • Stat line met in the Operations table
  • You've read the reward. Is the gun coming back to you?
  • If the next task is a kill task, save the build as a scheme so you can rebuild it in one step

What changes in Season Aurora?

Season Aurora starts on November 10, 2026, with a Dev Stream on October 30. Team Jade hasn't published Aurora's weapon or attachment notes yet. New seasons usually bring a balance pass, so expect some saved codes to shift. We'll update this guide once the notes are out. Our Season Aurora release date page tracks what's confirmed.

Can you buy a finished build or have someone do gunsmith missions for you?

Don't. Team Jade runs a weekly public enforcement bulletin and treats real-money trading as a violation. Its October 12, 2026 notice says players were "maliciously manipulating the matchmaking mechanism to move supplies between game matches" for real-money trades, and that "the security team will fully recover all Tekniq Alloys gained through such transactions." Gunsmith missions only ask for in-game Tekniq Alloy and a bit of patience. A free share code from the community does the same job with zero risk.

FAQ

What is the Gunsmith in Delta Force? It's the weapon customization screen where you fit attachments and see how each part changes stats like Control, Handling, Stability, Hip Fire Accuracy and Range. Operations and Warfare keep separate stat values for the same parts.

What does Hipfire 99 mean in Delta Force? It means the weapon's Hip Fire Accuracy stat must be 99 or higher in the Gunsmith. Use an SMG such as the MP5 or SMG-45 and stack attachments with positive Hip Fire Accuracy values.

Do you lose the gun when you submit it for a gunsmith mission? Yes. The submitted weapon is consumed. Some missions return a copy of the gun as the reward, so read the reward before submitting, especially if the next task asks for kills with that weapon.

Can you buy the weapon and attachments for gunsmith missions? Yes. Weapons and attachments bought from the trading post count. There's no requirement to find the parts yourself in a raid.

How do I import a share code in Delta Force? Copy the code and open the Gunsmith. It detects the copied code and offers a quick import. Codes posted in in-game chat can be tapped to jump straight into the Gunsmith. On console, use the import option on the modification screen.

Why doesn't my share code meet the mission requirement anymore? Codes store parts, not stats. If Team Jade changed an attachment's values in a balance patch, the same build can now fall below the threshold. Check the stat panel after importing and swap the part that changed.
