Where is Moophisto in Season 15?
Moophisto’s repeatable encounter is in the Bovine Sanctum, reached through an altar in Skovos. Your starting waypoint is Tyrael’s Encampment; head east to the Altar of the Heifer. Inside the Sanctum, the boss arena lies north of its waypoint. D4Guides’ location overview.
The September World Boss event was separate. Blizzard’s Divine Bovine Community Challenge ended September 14 and tied the Moomento Mori mount trophy to a 300,000-point community target, with each participating player contributing a point per kill. How do you get Prime Ribs and unlock the Cow Level?
Use the Moo shortcut if a friend has it
A player who has earned the Moo emote can use it beside you to unlock the Moo inscription at the Holy Cedar Tablets outside Kyovashad. Check the tablets before organizing help. You may already have the inscription available. If it’s missing, ask specifically for someone with the unlocked Moo emote; a typed “moo” in chat isn’t the interaction described by the walkthrough.

Returning players: check Squirt’s shortcut
If you’ve already progressed through the cow quest, the Outcast’s Travel Pouch offers another shortcut. Combine 1 Torn Page and 3 cow bells obtained through fishing in the Horadric Cube to craft the pouch and unlock its vendor stock. Squirt in Temis then sells copies for 10,666,666 gold. This option helps recover the quest ingredients; farm Prime Ribs separately for Moophisto. Check your existing access before spending gold. If the Moo inscription is already available at the tablets, use that route and save the purchase. Likewise, having the Sanctum waypoint already unlocked means you can concentrate on replenishing your summon materials instead of retracing the entrance.
Farm against your inventory count
Keep running the Cow King until you have enough ribs for your planned summons. Count the actual materials you pick up rather than assuming every clear pays the same amount. The repeatable route is Cow King → Prime Ribs → Sanctum altar. Player route reports.

How do you enter the Bovine Sanctum and summon Moophisto?
Follow the two altars in order
- Put 5 Prime Ribs in your inventory.
- Travel to Tyrael’s Encampment and head east to the mainland Altar of the Heifer.
- Interact to enter the Bovine Sanctum. This entrance does not consume the ribs.
- Activate the Sanctum waypoint immediately. You can use it for return trips.
- Head north into the arena. Interact with the second altar to spend 5 Prime Ribs and summon Moophisto.

How do you beat the Divine Bovine?
Choose a difficulty where you can keep attacking through the mechanics. A higher Torment setting is a poor bargain if you spend most of the attempt recovering.

Clear the forced Moo from your skills
The charging spectral cattle can replace hotbar abilities with a forced Moo emote. Press the affected button until its displayed requirement clears. Watch your bar after a charge connects. Repeatedly trying your normal rotation without checking the changed icons is an easy way to lose damage and access to a defensive skill.

Preserve nearby pillars where possible: other attacks can destroy them. Keep a movement skill available for the run to cover. Why is Moophisto dropping no loot?
Start with the confirmed change: the October 2 hotfix addressed incorrect loot behavior. It did not publish a drop-rate table, a pity counter, or a cooldown duration. Blizzard’s hotfix.
Players in a separate discussion report missing general loot after a World Boss kill, with rewards returning roughly 1 hour later. Some still received Moophisto-specific items during that interval. That is a community observation, not a confirmed Blizzard rule. Player reports.

Still getting empty kills? Pause your offerings and record the difficulty, recent World Boss activity, and which rewards appeared. Try another activity before returning. That gives you something useful to compare without burning through your entire rib supply on an unexplained result.
For repeat sessions, set a material budget, agree on summon turns with friends, and stop when you’ve reached your target or run out of the ribs you intended to spend. A rare pet is a reason to return, not a promise that the next kill must pay out.
