TL;DR: What should you do after Paragon 200 in Diablo 4 Season 15?
Upgrade your equipped glyphs in the Pit, fix the gear holding your build back, and finish useful seasonal objectives before settling into an XP grind. Paragon leveling continues to 300, leaving 100 levels after this checkpoint. Make each farming session pay for a specific upgrade, then test whether that upgrade improves your clears. Blizzard's Paragon progression notes.
Paragon 200 is where aimless farming gets expensive. You can spend an evening collecting loot and still log out with the same weak glyphs, missing item, and miserable boss damage. A better endgame plan starts with the problem you need to solve.

What actually changes after Paragon 200?
Your next upgrade needs a reason
Blizzard described the intent behind its Paragon redesign this way: “you're able to fully realize your build at roughly Paragon Level 200.” That's a design target, not a guarantee that every character finishes its setup there. Blizzard developer note.
Check your character before copying another endgame board. A finished planner can assume items, stat thresholds, and points you don't have yet. Follow an allocation that works with your available points, and read the requirements on the bonuses you're trying to activate.
Diagnose the weak link
Use your last difficult run as evidence:
- You died during ordinary pulls: examine defensive coverage and positioning before buying more damage.
- Packs disappeared but the boss dragged on: check whether your setup depends on kills or several enemies being present.
- You kept running dry: solve resource recovery before adding another effect that increases resource spending.
- Everything worked, just slowly: compare your equipped glyphs, item powers, and unfinished upgrades.
Pick one problem. Changing your weapon, boards, skills, and jewelry together makes it hard to tell what helped.
For example, if your character clears packs comfortably but empties its resource bar against a boss, another damage roll may leave the same problem intact. Keep the fight and difficulty constant, test the resource fix, and compare how much time you spend attacking. That gives you a useful result even before the next Paragon level arrives.
Which activity should you farm first?
Run the Pit for glyph progression
The Pit supplies glyph upgrade attempts. Their success depends on your glyph's rank and the tier you complete. Blizzard's glyph-system explanation.
My starting recommendation is a tier you can repeat comfortably with useful upgrade chances. Watch the whole run, including the guardian. A fast first floor doesn't rescue a boss fight that consumes the rest of your session.
Spend attempts on glyphs your build actually equips. Compare the next benefit available on each before pouring everything into one favorite. When changing builds, check the replacement glyphs before moving your points; an attractive planner may assume upgrades you haven't earned.
Farm Nightmare Dungeons when Obducite is missing
Nightmare Dungeons drop Obducite, the material you'll encounter in Masterworking. Blizzard's later patch notes explicitly address its drops from dungeon enemies. Official 3.0 patch notes.
Open the crafting screen first. Identify the item you're keeping, the upgrade you want, and the missing materials. Then farm that list. Continuing Pit runs while the intended upgrade waits on materials can leave your main problem untouched.
Track the resource you need per session. A screen full of orange loot looks productive; the missing ingredient is what determines whether you can finish the job.
Target bosses for a named item
Before committing to a boss session, verify your desired item's current loot source and check the entry or reward-opening resources involved. Write down acceptable alternatives too. That gives the group a reason to run that boss and a sensible point to stop.
For a build missing its central item, I'd solve that dependency before chasing prettier rolls elsewhere. Once it drops, reassess. The farm that was essential yesterday can become optional immediately.
Which seasonal Splinter fits your farming route?
The Prime Evil reputation tracks affect different activities:
- Mephisto: Pit and Nightmare Dungeons.
- Baal: Kurast Undercity and Lair Bosses.
- Diablo: Helltide and Infernal Hordes.
All three also affect Whispers. Blizzard's seasonal feature breakdown.
For the glyph-and-Obducite route above, I'd start with Mephisto. Choose Baal when your next project is boss farming. Pick Diablo if your planned sessions center on Helltide or Hordes. Commit long enough to learn the route before changing direction.
Keep the two Splinter systems straight
You can bear one Prime Evil Splinter and equip up to three jewelry Soul Splinters. Jewelry Splinters have benefits and drawbacks. Official Splinter rules.
Test a new jewelry combination on familiar content. Check how it affects resource uptime, survival, and movement through the dungeon. A bigger damage number earns its place only when the complete run improves.
Keep your previous setup available while experimenting. You want a fair comparison, with the same difficulty and the same job to finish.

Do Season 15's XP changes alter the best farming route?
These are Blizzard's published changes for launch. Bonus XP percentages describe game systems, not measured XP per hour. Official 3.2.1 reward changes.
| Reward or activity | Previous value | Season 15 value |
|---|---|---|
| Torment X bonus XP | 1,200% | 1,300% |
| Torment XI bonus XP | 1,300% | 1,500% |
| Torment XII bonus XP | 1,400% | 1,700% |
| Pit Tier 150 bonus XP | 1,800% | 2,700% |
| Baseline XP orbs per War Plans node, Torment X+ | 2 | 4 |
| Whisper Gold Cache, Torment XII | About 35 million gold | About 100 million gold |
The table gives you farms to investigate. It doesn't make Pit 150 or Torment XII an appropriate starting point at Paragon 200. The difficulty and Pit bonuses also describe separate systems; don't add the rows together.
Measure the full farming cycle
Time several runs on a comfortable setting, then repeat on the next one. Compare XP gained against total elapsed time, including deaths, loading, travel, and inventory work. Keep your group and consumables consistent.
For gold or materials, measure those rewards instead. A slower XP route can still be the right choice if it pays for the upgrade you're missing.
Move up when your results improve. If the tougher setting turns every elite pack into a project, spend the next session strengthening the build.
How should you build a useful War Plan?
War Plans let you chain up to five activities selected from six endgame modes. Blizzard's War Plans overview. Lord of Hatred owners access the system at the command table in Temis after completing its campaign. Expansion access details.
Build the chain around your shopping list. For example, pair glyph progression with materials farming when both strengthen your current equipment. For a boss project, prioritize activities and rewards that keep that project moving.
Whispers can overlap selected activities, and completing the chain awards a War Chest in Temis. Check those opportunities before leaving town. Blizzard's endgame walkthrough.
Make your alts serve a purpose
Season 15 shares War Plans progress between characters with matching Seasonal/Eternal, Hardcore/non-Hardcore, and normal/Solo-Self Found partitions. Each character allocates its own activity points. Blizzard's shared-progression explanation.
That makes experimenting with another character more appealing. Still, finish the upgrade already within reach before abandoning your main over one disappointing run.
Without Lord of Hatred, apply the same farming priorities to the activities available on your account.

How should you spend gold and craft Mythics?
Protect the item you want to keep
Set a spending limit before crafting. My order is to fix a missing build mechanic, establish reliable survival, then refine damage rolls. Save expensive perfection attempts for equipment you're confident about keeping.
Include your Talisman in that decision. It uses Seals and Charms with affixes and set bonuses, so changing gear can require another look at the whole combination. Blizzard's Talisman introduction.
Check what a replacement removes as carefully as what it adds. A promising item can break the interaction that made the old setup work.
Choose your direct-upgrade item deliberately
The Cube's Upgrade Direct Item to Mythic preserves the input item's affixes and modifications. Unmodifiable items aren't eligible. The result has a Crafted tag, and you can equip one item with that tag. Jeweler and Blacksmith Mythics are exempt. These preview rules remain in the final overview. Crafting rules, launch confirmation.
Choose the base as part of your complete loadout. Which candidate solves the hardest remaining problem? Would you replace it soon? Read the result preview and protect the intended item from accidental salvage before collecting the remaining ingredients.
Use the right Blacksmith cache
The final season offers separate Blacksmith caches for class-usable Mythic Uniques and Iconic Mythics. Blizzard's final crafting recap.
Check which pool contains your target before spending. Earlier PTR descriptions can send you toward the wrong expectation; the final recipe screen should guide the purchase.
What should you chase once your farming build works?
Finish rewards that help your next project
Season Ranks offer up to 42 Paragon points, up to 10 Resplendent Sparks, and five Mythic Unique Caches. Earning every reward requires Lord of Hatred. Official Season Rank rewards.
Look for unfinished objectives that overlap your next farm. Claiming useful progression rewards deserves a place in the plan, especially when you're close to finishing an objective already.
Revisit Waking Nightmares
The larger Waking Nightmares introduced in the seasonal questline can be replayed as Capstones. Defeating the most difficult versions supplies a resource for changing your Prime Evil Splinter, opening another reputation path. Blizzard's encounter recap.
If you've rushed straight into repeat farming, check your seasonal quest progress first. Finish that access work before planning a switch to a different Splinter. Then treat the harder encounter as a deliberate challenge: prepare your boss setup, learn what killed you, and return with a specific adjustment. Repeated failed attempts without changing anything rarely teach you much.
Give your push a finish line
Choose a higher Pit clear, a clean boss kill, or a completed loadout. After a failed attempt, identify the cause before grinding more levels automatically.
For a different challenge, Echoing Hatred uses a Trace of Echoes at the Sightless Eye in Temis. Blizzard's activity explanation. I'd save that attempt for a setup whose strengths and weaknesses you understand.
How should you organize your next hour?
Use this suggested schedule, adjusting for the length of your actual runs:
- Minutes 0–5: choose one upgrade and check overlapping objectives.
- Minutes 5–35: farm its activity consistently.
- Minutes 35–50: finish your chain or complete a prepared boss session.
- Minutes 50–60: claim rewards, inspect gear, and craft within your budget.
Finish useful content if it runs past a time block. Before logging out, leave yourself one specific next task. Starting tomorrow with a target beats another lap of the menus.

FAQ
Is Paragon 200 the maximum in Diablo 4? No. Leveling provides up to 300 Paragon points. Review your build at 200 and allocate later points where they improve it. Blizzard's Paragon notes.
What's the fastest way to level past Paragon 200? Season 15 hasn't launched as of September 14, so a universal live XP winner isn't established. Benchmark repeatable Pit runs against your available War Plans routes, counting downtime.
Should I farm glyphs or bosses after Paragon 200? Choose the missing upgrade. Run the Pit for equipped glyphs; target a boss when you've verified that it drops the item your build needs. Reassess after obtaining it.
Can I equip multiple crafted Mythics in Season 15? Yes, depending on the method. The one-item restriction applies to the Cube direct-upgrade Crafted tag. Jeweler and Blacksmith Mythics don't carry it. Official crafting explanation.
Do I need Lord of Hatred for War Plans? Yes. War Plans are an expansion feature accessed through the command table in Temis after its campaign. Blizzard's expansion guide.
