FC 27 Manager Live Objectives: Every Starter Challenge, the Real SP Payout and Why Your Points Don't Arrive

Manager Live is the fastest Season Points in FC 27 and the most broken. It is Career Mode's challenge hub, it feeds the same Season Pass as Ultimate Team, and three of its Starter Challenges clear in about 25 minutes without a single online match. It is also the one objective group players keep completing and not getting paid for — and there is a repeat rule nobody tells you about.

EA SPORTS FC 27 is currently in the final week of Season 1: Ones to Watch, which closes on Thursday 22 October 2026 — so this is the last full week Manager Live can move your Season Pass level. Here is every Starter Challenge in EA's own words, the SP payout confusion, and the workaround players report works.

TLDR — FC 27 Manager Live in 30 seconds

Manager Live is the challenge hub inside Manager Career. Completing Manager Live Challenges ticks a weekly Season Pass objective, so the SP lands in the same pool as your Ultimate Team points. EA's documented Starter Challenges are Transfer Savvy, Winning Start, Top at Christmas and Rio's Rising; the first three are the quick ones. EA has never published the SP value of the weekly group — launch-week guides measured 1,000 SP, and players in the back half of Season 1 report a 3,000 SP group. Two things to know before you start: the SP frequently fails to register until you fully restart the game, and players report that a challenge you already completed in an earlier week does not pay again.

What is Manager Live in FC 27?

Manager Live is a hub inside Manager Career. Instead of starting a ten-season save, you load a scenario with fixed objectives, rules and a time limit — win the league with a League Two side, survive a points deduction, turn a transfer profit in one window — and the game grades you against it. EA's Launch Update (14 September 2026) describes the FC 27 line-up as "a varied line-up of Manager Live Challenges, designed to offer different Objectives, varying time commitments, and ways to approach your Career."

The reason it matters to Ultimate Team players has nothing to do with Career Mode: Season Points in FC 27 are a single pool shared across every mode, so a Manager Live Challenge pushes the same Season Pass that your Rivals wins push. The weekly objective groups outside FUT are the part most FUT players never touch.

How much SP does the Manager Live weekly objective actually pay?

This is the question every guide answers confidently and nobody sources, so here is the honest version: EA has not published an SP table for Manager Live anywhere. There is no `help.ea.com` article for Manager Live, Creator Challenges or Season Points — every slug we tested redirects to the help homepage instead of resolving to a page. The number only exists on the objective tile in your own FC Hub. What the available evidence says:

SourceReported payoutWhen
Launch-week trackers and our own Season 1 breakdown1,000 SP for completing 3 Manager Live Challenges (600 SP in steps + a 400 SP group bonus)Season 1, weeks 1–2
EA Forums player report (thread 13779936)Objective group displayed "1,500 SP has been claimed"Season 1, mid-season
Player reports and creator coverage of the current weekly group3,000 SP group, paid in 1,000 SP stepsSeason 1, weeks 3–4

One player describing the current group put the arithmetic plainly: they completed it, "didn't get the full 3,000 XP", were "missing 1000" and should have been at level 25. That is a 3,000 SP group, not a 1,000 SP one.

The practical conclusion: read the number on the tile, not in a guide. Our own FC 27 Season 1 SP breakdown lists Manager Live at the 1,000 SP launch value — if your in-game group says 3,000, your in-game group is right. Each pass level costs 1,000 SP and Level 30 needs 30,000 SP, so a 1,000 versus 3,000 SP weekly group is two full levels a week.

What are the FC 27 Manager Live Starter Challenges?

EA names four. These are the only Manager Live Challenges EA has ever published by name, and they come from the Career Mode section of the FC 27 Launch Update, verbatim:

  • Transfer Savvy — "set your Season off with a shrewd profit in the opening transfer window."
  • Winning Start — "go undefeated in the opening weeks of the new League Season, while winning at least three matches along the way."
  • Top at Christmas — "put yourself at the top of the tree by leading your league when Christmas arrives."
  • Rio's Rising — "make 2026/27 the season Rio Ngumoha cements his status as a superstar at Anfield."

EA frames the group as the on-ramp: "Our Starter Challenges provide an accessible way to jump straight into Manager Live, built around familiar Career Mode experiences such as navigating the transfer market, building early-Season momentum, and chasing some of football's biggest milestones."

The first three are the ones worth your time this week. Rio's Rising is a full-season development challenge — a genuinely good Career Mode objective and a terrible way to farm Season Points.

ChallengeWhat it wantsFastest routeRough time
Transfer SavvyProfit in the opening transfer windowStart with a club that attracts incoming bids — community testing points to Barcelona or Arsenal — advance the calendar and accept offers until it ticks~5 minutes
Winning StartUnbeaten in the opening weeks with at least 3 winsBeginner difficulty, 3-minute halves, score early and simulate to full time~10 minutes
Top at ChristmasLead your league at ChristmasPick a dominant side, relax Board Expectations, simulate to late December, only play if the gap closes~10 minutes
Rio's RisingDevelop Rio Ngumoha into a superstar at LiverpoolNo shortcut — it spans a seasonNot an SP play

Two settings do most of the work. Difficulty and half length are set when the challenge starts, so Beginner with 3-minute halves turns Winning Start into three short games. Board Expectations is the other: every challenge exposes it as a parameter, and loosening it removes the risk of being sacked mid-simulation on Top at Christmas.

Why hasn't your Manager Live SP arrived?

Because it is one of the most consistently reported tracking failures in FC 27. There are at least three separate EA Forums threads on it — 13724874, 13730188 and 13779936 — describing the same two failure shapes.

Shape one: the challenge completes, the objective doesn't move. One player reported that Transfer Savvy, Winning Start and Top at Christmas all showed as "Completed" in Manager Live while the Season Pass objective still read 0/1, 0/2, 0/3, after simulating extra matches, saving and exiting Manager Live, and fully quitting the game from the console dashboard.

Shape two: the objective completes, the SP doesn't arrive. The second thread describes an objective group showing 3/3 complete and 1,500 SP claimed with the Season Points total frozen at 20,751.

The workaround players report most often is blunt and it is not in any patch note: fully restart the game. Several players on r/EASportsFC say the completion registers after a restart, one says they now restart after each individual challenge, and one notes it "always eventually unlocks" if you quit to another mode and come back. Be aware it is not universal — the EA Forums report above had already tried a full quit from the console dashboard and still saw 0/3, so treat the restart as the first thing to try rather than a guaranteed fix. None of this is EA-confirmed, and nothing in Title Update 1.0.4 addresses Manager Live objective tracking. EA's own Career Mode Developer Update (29 September 2026) lists five things the team is working on — Team Management UI, generated player OVRs, transfer requests and playtime, loan and transfer offers, and Liga BBVA MX — and Manager Live objective tracking is not among them.

Can you repeat the same three challenges every week?

This is the trap, and it is the reason the "just do Transfer Savvy, Winning Start and Top at Christmas every week" advice falls apart by week 3.

Multiple players report that a Manager Live Challenge you have already completed in a previous week does not count again for the weekly objective. One described completing the same three challenges across the first two weeks as their go-to routine, then finding that a challenge they had never touched before counted immediately while the repeats did not.

Treat that as a player-reported pattern rather than a documented rule — EA has published nothing either way. But plan around it: if you are coming to Manager Live in the final week of Season 1, pick three challenges you have never completed rather than repeating the Starter three from muscle memory. EA says the catalogue keeps growing: "Throughout FC 27, Manager Live will continue to evolve with new Challenges inspired by the football season."

FC 27 Career Mode player profile for Rio Ngumoha showing OVR, pace and expected transfer value

For reference, the player at the centre of Rio's Rising appears in EA's own Career Mode capture at 69 OVR with 90 Pace, aged 16, on a Liverpool contract to 31 July 2028 and an Expected Transfer Value of $22,000,000 under FC 27's new TransferRoom-powered valuation model. That is the challenge in one screen: a 69-rated teenager you have a season to turn into a Liverpool starter. Note that FC 27's Dynamic OVR means the number on his card moves with form and fitness, so your save may not open on exactly 69.

What are Creator Challenges, and how do you make one?

This is the genuinely new part of Manager Live in FC 27, and it is the least covered. EA describes it as a first: "Manager Live Creator Challenges give you the tools to build, publish, and share your own Manager Career scenarios for the first time."

How it works, from EA's Career Deep Dive:

  • You build challenges in a web-based Creator Portal, not in-game. Open the My Challenges tab in Manager Live and scan the QR code, or go to the portal directly at `ea.com/games/ea-sports-fc/fc-27/challenges` and sign in with your EA Account. There you "name and describe your Challenge, set Objectives, adjust restrictions, and shape the scenario you want players to take on."
  • EA states that "every Manager Career player can have at least 10 Creator Challenges published at once," and that published challenges can be deleted to free space. Your actual allowance may be higher: Ultimate and Ultimate Plus editions, and the EA Play Pro Edition, include "+5 Manager Live Challenge Creation slots" in their pre-order content, and EA's own portal screenshots show a Free Slots: 50 / 50 counter — which is neither the documented floor nor the floor plus the edition bonus. Read the counter on your own dashboard rather than trusting any published number, including this one.
  • On publish, the challenge gets a Share Code — a three-block code like `3CWP-KUI56-VDFL` — which works across platforms. You can enter a code straight into the Manager Live Hub, or share from the Challenge Completion screen to your EA Friends network.

The reward rule is the catch, and it is the thing to understand before you spend an evening building a masterpiece: player-created Creator Challenges do not pay Season Points. SP, kits and items attach to EA-made Challenges. A Creator Challenge is for the scenario, not the pass — so if your goal this week is Level 30, play EA's Challenges and leave the Creator Portal for after 22 October.

How do you find a Challenge worth playing in the Manager Live Hub?

EA scaled the Hub up substantially for FC 27. Two hard numbers from the Career Deep Dive: the number of available tabs increased from 15 to 30, and the number of Challenges shown in each tab increased from 5 to 20 — roughly 75 visible slots up to 600.

  • Sort and filter by league, country, club and other preferences, plus a Most Started sort. The filter screen caps multi-select at a handful of entries at a time, so narrow by league first, then club.
  • Upvotes. You can upvote a Creator Challenge from the Challenge Completion screen, and EA says "highly upvoted Challenges may then be featured in the Manager Live Hub for more players to discover."
  • Report and hide. EA is explicit about enforcement: "Content can and will be removed when necessary, and creators whose Challenges are repeatedly reported and removed may lose access to creation tools." You can also hide all Creator Challenge content and see only EA-made Challenges — useful if you only care about the ones that pay SP.

Is Manager Live worth it with eight days left in Season 1?

Yes, and it is the best minutes-per-SP in the game if the tracking cooperates.

Season 1: Ones to Watch runs from Thursday 17 September to Thursday 22 October 2026 — Season 2 starts the same day and runs to 3 December — and every level of the pass costs 1,000 SP, so the full 30-level track needs 30,000 SP. Against that, EA's published match-play rate is "between 15 & 100 Season Points per eligible match depending on result and mode, up to 850 Season Points per day" — so on the per-win values community trackers have measured, maxing the daily cap is roughly 13 Rivals wins.

Three Manager Live Challenges at Beginner difficulty with short halves is around 25 minutes for a group paying somewhere between 1,000 and 3,000 SP. Nothing in Ultimate Team comes close per minute, and none of it costs you a competitive result. The honest caveat is the one above: budget a restart or two, and don't count the points until they show in your Season Pass total.

If you are behind, the order of operations for the final week is Manager Live first, then the other non-FUT weekly groups, then FUT match play — exactly the ranking in our Season 1 SP guide. Before the 22nd, also check what you lose at the reset in our breakdown of everything that expires and carries over on 22 October.

Short on hours before Season 1 closes on 22 October? The Season Pass does not care how the points arrive, but your Rivals and Champions results do. Our FC 27 team handles the competitive side while you clear the Career Mode objectives.

FAQ

Where is Manager Live in FC 27? Go to Career Mode, choose Manager Career, and select Live instead of starting a standard save. That opens the Manager Live Hub, where EA-made Challenges, community Creator Challenges and the My Challenges tab all live.

How many Manager Live Challenges do you need for the weekly Season Points objective? Three. The group tracks completions in steps (1/3, 2/3, 3/3) and pays a bonus on the group. EA has not published the SP value, and it has changed during Season 1 — launch-week measurements put it at 1,000 SP while current player reports describe a 3,000 SP group, so check the tile in your FC Hub.

Do Manager Live Challenges count if you simulate the matches? Partly. Challenges graded on league position or transfer business, like Top at Christmas and Transfer Savvy, can be simulated. Winning Start asks for at least three wins, and community testing of the separate Manager Career weekly objective says those five matches have to be played in full, so simulation does not clear everything.

Why did my Manager Live objective complete but give no Season Points? It is a known, unfixed tracking issue with multiple EA Forums threads behind it. Players report that fully quitting and restarting the game is what makes the completion register. Nothing in Title Update 1.0.4 addresses it, and it is not on EA's published Career Mode fix list from 29 September.

Do Creator Challenges give Season Points? No. Season Points and item rewards attach to EA-made Manager Live Challenges. Player-created Creator Challenges are gameplay only — you can upvote them, favourite them and share their codes, but they will not move your Season Pass.

Can you play a friend's Creator Challenge on a different console? EA says challenges are "compatible across platforms, so players can share and access them regardless of where they play." Community guides report console-generation limits in practice; EA has not published a compatibility matrix, so test a code before promising a friend it will load.
