Quick answer: FC 27 Season 1: Ones to Watch ends Thursday 22 October 2026, and Season 2 starts the same day and runs to 3 December 2026 — both EA-confirmed in the Launch Rewards Pitch Notes, so you have 16 days from today. Expires: every unclaimed Season Pass level (the track resets to Level 1), your Rivals Division placement, and any Season 1 Objective or Live Event you have not finished. Carries over: everything already in your Club, your coins, and your Ones to Watch items — whose live upgrades keep running all 2026/27 season, not just Season 1. The trap: the final FC 26 carryover drop lands 23 October, one day after Season 1 ends, so those PlayStyle+ Evo consumables arrive in Season 2.
EA SPORTS FC 27 is two and a bit weeks from its first season rollover, and this is the point in the cycle where people quietly lose things. Not to a bug — to a calendar. Season Pass levels you did not claim, a Division you worked three weeks to reach, a Live Event you kept meaning to finish.
This guide is the deadline list: what actually disappears at the rollover, what safely survives it, and the order to burn your remaining 16 days in. Every date here is checked against EA's own published pages — the Launch Rewards Pitch Notes, the Season 1: Ones to Watch article, and EA Help's live Rivals and Champions pages.
Current FC 27 phase: Season 1 (Ones to Watch), week 3 of 5, with 16 days left on the clock. The game has been in full global release since 25 September 2026.

When exactly does FC 27 Season 1 end?
EA publishes the season calendar as dates, not timestamps. From the Launch Rewards Pitch Notes, verbatim:
"Season 1: Ones To Watch will be live from 17 September 2026 until 22 October 2026."
The full published run, straight from the same EA page:
| Season | Start | End |
|---|---|---|
| Season 1: Ones to Watch | 17 September 2026 | 22 October 2026 |
| Season 2 | 22 October 2026 | 3 December 2026 |
| Season 3 | 3 December 2026 | 14 January 2027 |
| Season 4 | 14 January 2027 | 25 February 2027 |
| Season 5 | 25 February 2027 | 8 April 2027 |
Two things follow from that table that are worth saying out loud.
First, seasons are 35 days long, not a calendar month. Season 1 is 35 days; Season 2 is 42. If you are pacing a Season Pass grind by "about a month", you are pacing it wrong.
Second, 22 October 2026 is a Thursday — and Thursday is the day FUT's weekly machinery turns over. EA Help's Rivals page states that "Rewards are released on Thursdays at 06:59 AM UTC." EA has never published a separate season-rollover timestamp, so treat the morning of the 22nd as your hard cut-off and do not plan to claim anything on the day itself. Community trackers put the flip at that same 06:59 UTC Thursday reset; that is a tracker inference, not an EA statement, so leave yourself a buffer. Our FC 27 reset times guide covers the weekly clock in full.
What expires on 22 October?
Your Season Pass level — all 30 of them
The Season 1 ladder is 30 levels across a Standard and a Premium track, and it resets to Level 1 when Season 2 opens. EA's Season 1 article names the anchors: the Standard Ladder runs through Christos Tzolis and Elisa Senß at Level 10 and ends with Ferran Torres at Level 30; the Premium Pass has Nicole Anyomi and Maxence Lacroix at Level 7 and ends with Yan Diomandé at Level 30. Across both tracks EA advertises "up to 13 Ones to Watch Player Items."
Unspent SP does not bank. If you finish the season on Level 23, levels 24–30 are gone — the players, the packs, the Evolution consumables, all of it.
If you bought Ultimate or Ultimate Plus you already own the Season 1 Premium Pass, which makes this more expensive, not less: you are leaving paid rewards on the table. And one piece of good news for anyone still deciding. EA Help's Premium Pass article — updated in the last two weeks and now explicitly FC 27-aware — states: "If you upgrade to Premium Pass mid-Season, you'll instantly unlock all Premium rewards for the levels you've already reached." Buying on 21 October pays out retroactively for every level you have already climbed. There is no penalty for deciding late, which also means there was never a reason to buy on day one.
The same page confirms what feeds the track in FC 27 specifically: SP comes from Ultimate Team, The Grounds and Career Mode — The Grounds has replaced Clubs as the third SP source compared with FC 26 and earlier. If you have been grinding Ultimate Team alone, there are two whole modes of Objectives you have not touched.
For the exact SP-per-source maths on closing out those last levels, we ran the numbers in every SP source ranked fastest to slowest and the full ladder breakdown lives in all 30 levels and every reward.
Your Rivals Division
This is the one that stings, and EA documents it plainly on the Ultimate Team Rivals help page:
"When a new Ultimate Team™ Season starts, all competitors will be dropped from the Division that you previously finished in. You'll have the chance to climb back to the top."
Note the exact wording: dropped from, not reset to Division 10. There are 11 rungs in the ladder — Divisions 10 through 1, then Elite — and a new season knocks you down from wherever you finished, it does not wipe you. EA has never published the size of that drop for FC 27, so nobody can honestly tell you "you fall exactly two divisions." Anyone who does is guessing.
What definitely clears: your Checkpoints and your Stage progress inside the division. The protection you earned in Season 1 does not protect you in Season 2. If you are two or three wins off a higher Division, those wins are worth far more now than they will be on 23 October — the rewards tier you finish in is the last one Season 1 pays out, and our Rivals rewards by division breakdown shows exactly what each rung is worth in coins and CQP.
Season 1 Objectives and Live Events
Ones We Watched, the Ones to Watch Online Exhibition, Tactical Trials, the A.F.C. Richmond themed objectives — these are Season 1 content, and EA has not published an individual end date for each one, so the season boundary is the only deadline you can plan around. The Exhibition is the clearest case: EA says it pays "additional rewards for weekly plays throughout Season 1," and with weeks turning over on Thursdays there are exactly two full weekly cycles left — the one starting 8 October and the one starting 15 October. The full Season 1 objectives list is the checklist to audit against.
Champions entries you did not use
EA's Champions help page — updated within the last week and now explicitly FC 27-specific — confirms the structure: you earn Champions Qualification Points through Rivals or Squad Battles, there is no Division 6 requirement, and Finals is a 15-match format. What EA does not publish anywhere is whether unused CQP or unspent Champions Tokens survive a season rollover. Treat both as use-it-or-lose-it until EA says otherwise, and spend Champions Tokens in the Champions Token Store before the 22nd rather than hoarding them. Reward tiers for the current format are in our Champions Finals rewards table.
What carries over into Season 2?
Plenty, and more than most people assume.
Your Club, untouched. Players, consumables, coins, Gallery progress, Evolution slots — a season rollover is not a wipe. Nothing you have already claimed is at risk.
Ones to Watch upgrades keep running. This is the single most misunderstood part of the rollover. OTW items do not stop improving when Season 1 ends. EA's own Ones to Watch FAQ: "OTW items will only be upgraded based on performance in the 2026/27 domestic season." The upgrade engine is tied to the real-world football calendar, not the FUT season. Every Team of the Week, Star Performer or Player of the Month inclusion is still +1 OVR in December, in February, in March. The one piece that is time-boxed is the Wins to Watch bonus — a one-time +1 OVR if the player's club wins three of its next six domestic league matches starting 18 September — and since that six-match count started on 18 September, most clubs are already at or near the end of it regardless of the season flip.
Generic Tokens roll forward. Of the four Premium Pass unlock currencies EA documents — FC Points, Ultimate Team Coins, Generic Tokens and Season Tokens — Generic Tokens are the ones that survive. EA's wording: "Generic Tokens can be used to unlock Premium Pass for any currently available season. If you get a Generic Token and you already have the current Season of Premium Pass unlocked, you can use your Generic Token for the next Season." Season Tokens behave differently — they "automatically redeem at the start of the Season listed" and only work for that one Season. Do not confuse either with Event Tokens or Gallery Tokens, which unlock neither a pass.
FC Points keep arriving on schedule. EA's cadence is fixed and season-independent: your first installment at first login, then "additional FC Point drops will be given on the 15th of each month." Your next drop is 15 October, inside Season 1; the one after is 15 November, inside Season 2.

What about the FC 26 carryover drops?
This is where the calendar gets genuinely useful. EA is still paying out FC 26 rewards into FC 27 clubs across October, and two of the three remaining drops land inside Season 1 while the last one lands after it:
| Delivery date | FC 26 source | What arrives | Inside Season 1? |
|---|---|---|---|
| 9 October | Season 10: Pre-Season | 82+ x7 (Untradeable) + Base Quick Step PS Evo (Max 83 OVR) | ✅ Yes |
| 16 October | Pre-Season Completionist I–IV | 81+ x3 Pack (Untradeable) + 10k Coins, ×4 | ✅ Yes |
| 16 October | Pre-Season Completionist Group Reward | 20k Coins + 83+ Tradeable 1 of 3 Player Pick | ✅ Yes |
| 23 October | Preseason Final Whistle Event Objective | Base Anticipate PS Evo (Max 83), 81+ x3 (Untradeable), Shadow Striker++ Role++ (Max 83), Base Pinged Pass PS Evo (Max 83) | ❌ No — Season 2 |
| 23 October | Preseason Final Whistle Tournament Objective | 1 of 3 82+ PP (Tradeable) + 10k Coins, 1 of 2 Base Hero Loan Pack (5 matches) | ❌ No — Season 2 |
Do the arithmetic on 16 October: four Completionist rewards at 10k each plus the 20k Group Reward is 60,000 coins in a single day, plus a tradeable 83+ Player Pick. That is a meaningful trading float landing with six days of Season 1 left — enough to flip into fodder for the last SBCs of the season rather than sitting on it.
And note the 23 October line. Three PlayStyle+ Evo consumables and a Role++ item arrive the day after Season 1 closes. If you were planning to use a carryover Evo to push a Season 1 objective squad, that plan does not work — those land in Season 2. EA's one condition on all of this, verbatim: "make sure you log in to FC 27 Football Ultimate Team™ using the same EA Account and platform family you used to earn them in EA SPORTS FC™ 26." Rewards earned on PlayStation can only be claimed on PlayStation. We covered the full delivery schedule when it was announced in what's actually in your Club on day one.
What should you prioritise in the last 16 days?
In strict order of what you lose by ignoring it:
- Unclaimed Season Pass levels you can realistically still reach. Count the SP gap first, then decide. If you need 15,000 SP and your weekly rate is 4,000, you are not getting there — stop spending time on it and move down this list.
- Rivals Division placement. Your final Division sets both your last Season 1 weekly rewards and the rung you get dropped from. This is the highest-leverage grind left on the board.
- Champions Tokens. Spend them. EA has not committed to them surviving the rollover.
- Season 1 Objectives with untradeable player rewards. Those players stay in your Club forever; the objective does not.
- Live Event weeklies. Two more weekly cycles of Online Exhibition plays — from 8 October and from 15 October — then it is over.
- Evolutions in progress. Evolutions themselves are not season-gated, but EA has published no FC 27 rule guaranteeing a given Evo stays available, and the Season Pass Evo consumables certainly expire with the ladder. Finish what you started — and if you are weighing whether an Evo is still worth the slot after October's balance changes, we went through that in EA confirmed the Evo nerf was deliberate.
The honest read on the Season Pass, from the FUT community this week: a lot of players are sitting in the high teens with two weeks left and doing the maths for the first time. One r/fut poster described clearing every XP-paying objective across Ultimate Team, manager career and player career and still being 13,000 SP short of the Level 30 Premium reward — a gap that simply did not exist at this point in FC 26's pass. The counter-argument on r/EASportsFC is equally blunt: you do not have to finish it, you just finish the pass a few days later than you used to, like most of the playerbase. Both are true. The point is to decide deliberately rather than discover it on the 22nd.
Short on time before the rollover? The last two weeks of a season are exactly when a coin float or a Division push is worth the most — and exactly when nobody has 30 hours spare.
- EA FC 27 Coins — Comfort Trade with paced delivery, so you can bid on the Completionist-day market dip instead of watching it
- EA FC 27 FUT Champions Boost — pro players running your Rivals and Champions matches before the Division drop
- EA FC 27 Evolutions Boost — pathways cleared for you while the Season 1 consumables are still live
- All EA FC 27 services
A note we will always make: EA's User Agreement prohibits buying, selling or transferring coins for real money, and enforcement can include coin removal, a transfer-market ban or an account ban. We use Comfort Trade, no cheats, bots or injectors, and paced delivery to keep the risk low — but nobody can honestly promise zero risk, and we will not.
FAQ
When does FC 27 Season 1 end? Thursday 22 October 2026, per EA's Launch Rewards Pitch Notes. Season 2 starts the same day and runs until 3 December 2026. EA publishes the date but not an exact timestamp, so plan around the morning of the 22nd rather than the day itself.
Do my Season Pass levels carry over to Season 2? No. The ladder resets to Level 1 and unclaimed levels are gone — including Premium Pass rewards you already paid for with the Ultimate or Ultimate Plus edition. Unspent SP does not bank either.
Does my Rivals division reset at the end of Season 1? Not to zero. EA's wording is that "all competitors will be dropped from the Division that you previously finished in" — a partial drop from where you end Season 1, not a reset to Division 10. EA has never published the size of the drop, so treat any specific "you fall two divisions" claim as a community guess.
Do Ones to Watch players stop upgrading when Season 1 ends? No, and this is the most common misconception about the rollover. EA's FAQ says OTW items "will only be upgraded based on performance in the 2026/27 domestic season" — the upgrade window is the real football season, not the FUT season. TOTW, Star Performer and Player of the Month inclusions keep paying +1 OVR well into 2027.
Is it too late to buy the Premium Pass? No. Per EA Help's Premium Pass article, upgrading mid-season "instantly unlocks all Premium rewards for the levels you've already reached." Buying on 21 October pays out retroactively for everything you have already climbed — so the only thing a late purchase costs you is the levels you never reach.
What happens to my FC 26 carryover rewards? They keep arriving on EA's published schedule regardless of the season flip: 9 October, 16 October and 23 October. The 23 October batch lands one day after Season 1 ends, so those PlayStyle+ Evo consumables and the Role++ item are Season 2 content. You must log in on the same EA Account and platform family you used in FC 26.
How much is the 16 October carryover drop actually worth? 60,000 coins in total — four Pre-Season Completionist rewards at 10k each plus a 20k Group Reward — along with four untradeable 81+ x3 packs and a tradeable 83+ 1-of-3 Player Pick.
