Grow a Garden Beanstalk Part 2 event: an avatar beside the glowing Gold Cauldron on Cloud Island inside the stone Beanstalk structure

Grow a Garden Beanstalk Part 2 went live on September 5, 2026 with Update 1.66.0, and it is running inside the original Grow a Garden experience — not the sequel. Part 2 adds eight crafting recipes, a Beanpod Chest with six possible rewards, Jill's Gold Cauldron, and six brand-new named pets and plants including the ultra-rare Chest Mimic. This guide breaks down the exact chest odds, every recipe's ingredient list and timer, the fastest route to the crafting bench, and what players are actually saying about the finale.

TLDR:

  • Where: the original Grow a Garden (universe prefix `[🌱]`), not Grow a Garden 2. Live at 28,871 concurrent players on September 9, 2026 (Roblox Games API pull).
  • Event window: the event page listed Part 2 from September 5, 4:30 p.m. ET through September 12, 4 p.m. ET — timing can change, so verify in-game.
  • Beanpod Chest odds: Fableflower Seed 35%, Sheep 35%, Harpvine Seed 14.5%, Cloud Hound 14.5%, Elder Beanstalk Seed 0.5%, Chest Mimic 0.5%.
  • 8 crafting recipes, four of them cosmetics; the standout is the Pet Mutation Shard Giantbean (60-minute craft).
  • Chest Mimic is the rarest and most divisive pet — a 0.5% drop that many players call underwhelming.

Which Grow a Garden is Beanstalk Part 2 in?

This trips up new players every event, so answer it first: Beanstalk Part 2 is in the original Grow a Garden, the experience with the `[🌱]` prefix. It is a different experience from Grow a Garden 2, the standalone sequel. The official announcement labelled the event "GAG 1: Beanstalk Part 2," and a direct Roblox Games API pull on September 9, 2026 shows the original experience at 28,871 concurrent players with a most-recent update timestamp of September 9 — confirming it is the version receiving live event content.

If you load into Grow a Garden 2 looking for Jack, the Beanstalk, or the Gold Cauldron, you will not find them. Search the experience list for the original `[🌱] Grow a Garden 🌶️` and check that the update banner mentions the Beanstalk before you start farming.

Codes are issued by the Grow a Garden developer, not by Roblox. Roblox the platform does not run this event, hand out Beanpod Chests, or set item values. Everything below is specific to this one experience.

What Grow a Garden Beanstalk Part 2 adds

Part 2 is built around three practical goals: craft display and utility items at the top-area bench, convert Gold-mutated plants into Beanpod Chests at Jill's Gold Cauldron, and keep growing the shared Beanstalk to improve your access. Update 1.66.0 shipped all of it on September 5, 2026.

The named additions are:

  • New plants: Elder Beanstalk, Harpvine, Fableflower.
  • New pets: Sheep, Cloud Hound, Chest Mimic.
  • New crafted items: Lilypad Cluster (plant output) and Brown Bouncy Mushroom (cosmetic), plus returning OG items, pets, and seeds in the event shop and Sheckle restocking.

Part 2 also adds two more Beanstalk variants. The post-launch notes do not name those two variants, so treat any "leaked" variant names you see elsewhere as unconfirmed until the event page lists them.

How to reach the Beanstalk Part 2 crafting bench

The bench is only useful once you can climb to the top of a fully grown Beanstalk. Here is the route:

  • Check Jack's requested trait. It refreshes every hour. Possible traits are Berry, Flower, Fruit, Leafy, Vegetable, Woody, Prickly, Stalky, and Tropical.
  • Submit matching crops to Jack. The shared Beanstalk needs 900 contribution points to become fully grown. Each contribution starts a 15-minute personal cooldown (drops to 10 minutes once Jack is Level 5). Points-per-crop are not published, so watch the shared meter rather than counting turn-ins.
  • Climb during the active window. After 900 points, the tree stays active for 20 minutes and allows up to five climb rewards. Climb promptly.
  • Reach the top area. Talk to the Giant at Goliath's Goods for the event and friendship shops. The crafting bench is in this same area.
  • Start a recipe. Interact with the bench, choose a recipe, hit Craft, submit every input plus the Sheckle cost, wait for the timer, then return to claim.

Two milestones sit on top of this: helping grow the Beanstalk seven times unlocks the top portal, and twelve personal grows unlock the Skycastle Fence. You do not need portal access to climb a fully grown tree and collect rewards — so do not skip a tree that is already grown while you chase the portal.

Jack level thresholds

Jack levelTotal contribution points
Level 125
Level 275
Level 3175
Level 4300
Level 5450

Leveling Jack is what shaves the contribution cooldown from 15 minutes down to 10, so prioritize it early if you plan to grind recipes.

All 8 Grow a Garden Beanstalk Part 2 crafting recipes

The live post-launch table lists eight recipes. Some pre-launch previews showed 11 (including Skyroot Chest, Sprout Egg, and Willowberry Seed) — those are not in the live set, so ignore them.

OutputInputsShecklesCraft time
Green Bean Memories (cosmetic)2 Beanstalk; 1 Sprout Seed Pack; 1 Sprout Crate4,500,00015 min
Bean Pool Table (cosmetic)2 Beanstalk; 1 Coconut; 1 Sprout Crate4,500,00015 min

Beanpod Egg2 Beanstalk; 1 Sprout Seed Pack; 1 Uncommon Egg2,500,00030 min

Four rows are pure cosmetics. The Pet Mutation Shard Giantbean is the most functional craft — it applies a Giantbean mutation — but it costs 15M Sheckles and a Cleansing Pet Shard, and takes an hour. The Beanpod Crate is the most expensive at 20M Sheckles. If you only want the event's utility, prioritize the shard and skip the four cosmetic rows unless you're collecting.

Where to get every Beanstalk Part 2 crafting ingredient

The inputs are scattered across the Seed Shop, Pet Eggs shop, event shops, and friendship levels. Line this up before you climb so you don't reach the bench one ingredient short:

  • Beanstalk — Seed Shop; a Beanstalk orb can also drop it.
  • Sprout Seed Pack — Goliath's Goods, top-contributor rewards, or Beanstalk orbs.
  • Sprout Crate — Goliath's Goods or Beanstalk orbs.
  • Coconut — Seed Shop.
  • Mushroom — Seed Shop.
  • Flare Melon — Giant's Friendship Shop at friendship level 4.
  • Glowpod — Giant's Friendship Shop at friendship level 3.
  • Nimbush — Giant's Friendship Shop at friendship level 5.
  • Cleansing Pet Shard — Gear Shop (removes a pet mutation; 10 uses).
  • Tree Frog — hatch a Jungle Egg from the Pet Eggs shop.
  • Uncommon Egg — Pet Eggs shop.
  • Flare Daisy — inside a Sprout Seed Pack, Exotic Sprout Seed Pack, or Rainbow Sack.
  • Twist Berry — main Beanstalk shop after three personal grows.
  • Fableflower — grow it from a Fableflower Seed, which comes from a Beanpod Chest.

The big dependency to plan around: Fableflower loops you back to the Gold Cauldron, because its seed only drops from a Beanpod Chest. If you're building toward the Lilypad Cluster, farm chests and the Tree Frog in parallel rather than treating the bench as step one.

Jill's Gold Cauldron and the Beanpod Chest

Grow a Garden Beanstalk Part 2 Gold Cauldron on Cloud Island inside the stone Beanstalk structure

Jill's Gold Cauldron sits at the top of the Beanstalk. Bring 30–75 KG of Gold-mutated plants and submit that weight to fill it. A successful fill awards one Beanpod Chest, then the cauldron goes on a three-minute cooldown. This is a completely separate reward route from the crafting bench — you submit plant weight here, not recipe inputs.

Beanpod Chest odds

Grow a Garden Beanpod Chest, the green pea-pod reward container from Jill's Gold Cauldron in Beanstalk Part 2

ContentTypeChance
Fableflower SeedSeed35%
SheepPet35%
Harpvine SeedSeed14.5%
Cloud HoundPet14.5%
Elder Beanstalk SeedSeed0.5%
Chest MimicPet0.5%

These are the community-reported odds shown at the time of writing; a single chest guarantees nothing. Seventy percent of every chest is either a Fableflower Seed or a Sheep. The two 0.5% entries — Elder Beanstalk Seed and Chest Mimic — are the chase items, and at those odds you should expect to fill the cauldron dozens of times before either appears.

Is the Chest Mimic worth chasing?

Short answer: for most players, no — and the community is unusually blunt about it. The Chest Mimic is the rarest pet in the event at 0.5%, but its ability underwhelmed the exact players who ground for it. On the GrowAGarden subreddit, the recurring complaint is that a pet literally named "Chest Mimic" doesn't interact with chests the way you'd expect:

"It really should have been a seal type pet for chests. It's even in the name… 'Chest Mimic.' Talk about missing the mark."

"I have 600+ buttercup chests and I still have no use for Chest Mimic. He eats them to level up 600 times and then what? Back to being useless again."

The wishlist players actually wanted was a chest-focused effect — something like the Squid/Mummy chest-opening synergy or a "seal for chests" that returns chests for extra spins. That didn't ship. So if you're deciding where to spend cauldron fills, chase the Chest Mimic only if you want the collection completion or the flex. For practical value, the Sheep and Cloud Hound (the 35% and 14.5% pets) do more day-to-day work, and the Fableflower Seed is the one drop you actually need for the Lilypad Cluster recipe.

Quality-of-life changes in Part 2

Update 1.66.0 also shipped a batch of fixes worth knowing:

  • Clearer shovel prompt.
  • The Garden Guide's trait search is restored.
  • Bean Pod Nook now supports sitting (yes, this was a top community request).
  • Achievement issues fixed.
  • Broad fixes across the Beanstalk, Honey Garden, Trade World, plants, and pets.
  • General performance improvements.

Grow a Garden Beanstalk Part 2 FAQ

Is Beanstalk Part 2 in Grow a Garden or Grow a Garden 2? It's in the original Grow a Garden (the `[🌱]` experience). Grow a Garden 2 is a separate sequel and does not have this event.

How many crafting recipes are in Beanstalk Part 2? The live post-launch table has eight. The older 11-recipe preview (Skyroot Chest, Sprout Egg, Willowberry Seed) is not the live set.

What are the Beanpod Chest odds? Fableflower Seed 35%, Sheep 35%, Harpvine Seed 14.5%, Cloud Hound 14.5%, Elder Beanstalk Seed 0.5%, and Chest Mimic 0.5%.

How much Gold-mutated plant weight does Jill's Gold Cauldron need? Between 30 and 75 KG per fill. Each successful fill gives one Beanpod Chest, followed by a three-minute cooldown.

Can I climb the Beanstalk before unlocking the top portal? Yes. Portal access takes seven grows, but you can climb a fully grown tree and collect rewards without it. Twelve personal grows unlock the Skycastle Fence.

Is the Chest Mimic worth it? It's the rarest pet (0.5%) but widely considered underwhelming because it doesn't have a chest-opening effect. Chase it for collection, not for practical value.

When does Beanstalk Part 2 end? The event page listed it running through September 12, 2026, 4 p.m. ET, but developers can extend or change event timing — confirm in-game.
