This page covers the original Grow a Garden by The Garden Game, the version with far more players today. Grow a Garden 2 is a separate game with its own codes. Grow a Garden codes are rare, and lately they give cosmetics, not Sheckles. The developers don't post them on a schedule. Most past codes were tied to a player-count milestone, an event or a creator award, and they were switched off once that moment passed. The trackers also disagree right now, so we've written down who says what and when they checked.
Quick answer (checked October 27, 2026): 3 codes are reported active: RDCAward (RDCAward cosmetic), BEANORLEAVE10 (Green Bean Chamber cosmetic) and torigate (Whispering Torii cosmetic). Two code trackers re-checked them today, but the fan wiki moved all three to expired on October 13, so treat them as "try it". None of them gives seeds or Sheckles. To redeem, click the cog (Settings) in the top-left, scroll to the bottom, type the code into "Type code here..." and press Claim.

How we verified them: the game's Roblox description doesn't list any codes, so we checked independent trackers against each other. Roblox Den, whose staff say they test every code in-game before listing it, last checked at 05:33 UTC on October 27, 2026 and lists all three as active. Bloxodes also marks them "checked and verified on October 27, 2026". PCGamesN (updated September 26) lists the same three. This is source verification. We haven't redeemed them on our own account.
Why we call them disputed: the Grow a Garden Wiki codes page was edited on October 13, 2026 to move torigate, BEANORLEAVE10 and RDCAward from "Active" to "Expired". It now says "There are currently no active codes." Two trackers that re-checked after that date still list them as working. Typing them costs you nothing. If one returns an error after you've pasted it exactly, you've either already used it or it has expired.
Codes are case-sensitive. Roblox Den says so, and torigate is all lowercase on purpose. Copy and paste them exactly.
Grow a Garden is still a big game, just much smaller than it was. Our Roblox Games API pull at about 08:10 UTC on October 27, 2026 showed 16,633 players online, 35.99 billion visits and 11.46 million favourites, with an 89.9% like ratio (9.44M up, 1.06M down). The game's name currently carries a 🎃 prefix, and the last update was published on October 24, 2026.
How do you redeem codes in Grow a Garden?
- Launch Grow a Garden and wait until you're standing in your garden.
- Click the cog (Settings) icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Settings menu to the Redeem Codes section.
- Click the box that says "Type code here..." and paste a code from the table above.
- Press the green Claim button. Cosmetics land in your inventory, and you can place them in your garden.
Why is my Grow a Garden code not working?
- It has expired. This is the most common cause. Grow a Garden codes are tied to a moment (a concurrent-player record, a visit milestone, an event launch) and they're switched off without notice. With the trackers split on the current three, some players will see them fail.
- You already redeemed it. Each code works once per account.
- A typo or wrong case. "Torigate" with a capital T isn't the same as torigate. Copy and paste instead of typing.
- It may never have been a real code. Some sites, including Destructoid and Nerd's Chalk, list FREESEED, STORY and STARBUD as giving seeds. They don't appear on the wiki, on Roblox Den or on Bloxodes, not even as expired, and we found no official announcement for them. Treat them as unverified. They cost nothing to try, but don't count on them.
- It's a Grow a Garden 2 code. The sequel is a different game with its own redeem box, so its codes won't work in the original.
What are the expired Grow a Garden codes?
Roblox Den lists 28 expired codes and Bloxodes lists 30. Most rewards weren't recorded when the codes ran, so here they're grouped by what the code name points to. None of them work now.

The one expired reward the wiki does record is LUNARGLOW10: 3 Basic Seed Packs and 1 Exotic Bug Egg. TEAMGREENBEAN (3 Green Bean Seeds) and SUMMER25 are listed as "Check" on Roblox Den but expired on Bloxodes. Bloxodes also lists SUMMER_WAVE26 (5 Green Bean Seeds) as active, but no second source backs it up, so it isn't in our active table.

What do Grow a Garden codes actually get you?
The game's own description is simple: "Buy seeds from the shop when they restock, plant them, wait for them to grow, and collect the profits!" Your garden keeps growing while you're offline. Sheckles come from selling crops, not from codes.
The current codes are decorations only. Whispering Torii, Green Bean Chamber and the RDCAward cosmetic change how your garden looks. They don't speed up growth or add value to a harvest. Older codes were better: LUNARGLOW10 gave seed packs and an egg, and TEAMGREENBEAN gave seeds. If a seed or egg code appears again, redeem it the same day, because past ones didn't last.
How do you get more Grow a Garden codes?
Past codes followed two patterns: player-count and visit records (2BILLION through 22BILLION, 9MCCU to 22MCCU) and event or update launches (the bee event, the prehistoric update, the cooking event, Lunar Glow). PCGamesN notes that recent codes have tended to drop during admin abuse events rather than for social milestones. These are the official places to watch:
- The official Discord (discord.gg/growagarden): "Welcome to the official Roblox Grow a Garden server!" It has about 4.85 million members.
- The The Garden Game group on Roblox: about 19.5 million members. It owns the game, and its description points to the @GrowGames account on X.
- Live events in the game itself: admin events are where codes have shown up lately, so it's worth being online for update days.
