Embersickle was the item everyone wanted to unbox on launch day. It's the Godly half of this year's Ember set and one of the two ingredients for the craftable Emberscythe. Eight days later, it's worth less than the Mortal knife you can buy for Robux.

What is the Embersickle in MM2?
Embersickle is a Godly knife from the Halloween Event 2026 in Murder Mystery 2. The MM2 Wiki's Embersickle page describes it as "obtainable by unboxing it from the 2026 Halloween Box."
What makes it different from other Halloween Godlies:
- It's the first sickle in MM2. The wiki calls it "the first sickle-shaped weapon in the game", with a purple and gold handle and a pumpkin head in the middle.
- It's a Cauldron ingredient. One Embersickle plus one Emberbow crafts an Emberscythe, the event's Ancient knife.
- It has a Chroma. The Chroma Embersickle drops from the same box at a much lower rate.
- It's tradeable. Unlike the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Blue leaderboard Emberbows, both Embersickles can be traded.
It's the only Ember item that comes from the box. The Emberbow comes from tier 30 of the battle pass, and the Emberscythe only comes from crafting.
What is the MM2 Embersickle value in October 2026?
Here's where both lists stood when we checked on October 27, 2026 (about 01:30 UTC):

Both lists agree on 100. That puts Embersickle 42nd of 128 priced Godlies on MM2 Values, between Beachy (95) and Gifts Knife (110). "Underpaid For" means real trades are landing below the listed number, so 100 is closer to a ceiling than a floor right now.
Why did the Embersickle value crash?
Because supply kept growing faster than anyone wanted it. Here's the timeline we've tracked since launch:

That's a 60% drop on MM2 Values in five days (250 → 100), and Supreme's latest run alone cut it by 20% (125 → 100). Three things pushed it down:
- Every box opened adds more. The battle pass hands out 13 Halloween Keys, and the box is the only place to spend them.
- Nobody wants to hold it. On MM2 Trade Hub, Embersickle showed up in 212 trade offers over the last 30 days but was asked for in only 31. That's roughly 7 sellers for every buyer.
- Crafting stopped making sense. Once the Emberscythe fell below the combined value of its two ingredients, the main reason to buy an Embersickle disappeared (more on that below).
A player put it bluntly on a r/MurderMystery2 thread a few hours after the event opened: "Its probably gonna be like all the other box godlys from other events pretty mid at the end. So take a good offer while you can." Another reply in the same thread priced a good offer at "700-1k ish." Anyone who sold that weekend got 7–10x today's value.
How do you get the Embersickle in MM2?
There's only one way to unbox it:
- Earn Candies. Coins don't drop during the event. Candies replace them, from matches and the Daily and Event Quests.
- Open the 2026 Halloween Box. It costs 600 Candies or 1 Halloween Key, per the MM2 Wiki's box page.
- Hit the 0.2% roll for Embersickle, or the 0.004% roll for the Chroma.
Here's what those odds mean in practice:

So on average you'd spend about three times the whole battle pass (around 117,000 Candies) to unbox one Embersickle. Today you can trade for one with about 100 in value. Our read: opening boxes for the Embersickle no longer makes sense. Open them for fun or for your keys, and trade for the knife if you want it.

What is Chroma Embersickle worth?
Chroma Embersickle is the rainbow version, and it fell even harder than the normal one in absolute terms:
- MM2 Values: 1,600 (range 1,350–1,600), demand 4, rarity 4.5, tagged "Underpaid For". It ranks 25th of 46 priced Chromas.
- Supreme Values: about 1,700 (range 1,500–1,800).
- Premium over the normal Embersickle: about 16x.
On MM2 Values it was 3,750 on October 22, then 2,000 on October 23, then 1,600 on October 25. That's a 57% drop in three days.
It's still the rarest Ember item by drop rate: 1 in 25,000 boxes, compared with a "very rare" but unpublished chance for the Chroma Emberbow on the tier-30 purchase. But rarity isn't demand. The Chroma Emberbow (10,000 on MM2 Values) and Chroma Emberscythe (15,500) are worth 6–10x more, because they're Ancients and because traders want the Ancient set, not the Godly.
Watch out: in a small trade slot, the normal and Chroma Embersickle look almost the same. One is worth 100 and the other 1,600. Check the rainbow blade before you accept.
Should you craft your Embersickle into an Emberscythe?
The Cauldron in the Halloween lobby turns 1 Embersickle + 1 Emberbow into 1 Emberscythe, with a low, unpublished chance at a Chroma Emberscythe instead. A week ago this was a small loss. Today it's a big one, because the Emberbow went up while the Emberscythe went down:

Our read: don't craft for value. You'd be destroying about 2,000 in items to get a 1,450 knife. The only reasons to craft now:
- You want the Emberscythe itself and don't mind the loss.
- You're gambling on the Chroma Emberscythe (15,500 on MM2 Values, ~14,000 on Supreme). On MM2 Values you'd need roughly a 3.9% Chroma chance per craft just to break even, and the odds have never been published.

Is Embersickle worth more than Mortal?
Not anymore. A week ago, our answer was "keep the Embersickle." The numbers have flipped:

Mortal is now worth 40% more on MM2 Values, and Chroma Mortal sits above Chroma Embersickle too. If someone offers a Mortal for your Embersickle, that's a win for you on today's list. Mortal's supply still grows until the event ends, so this could swing back, but we wouldn't bet on it this week.
What is a fair Embersickle trade?
A fair Embersickle trade lands around 100. Use one list for both sides of the trade. On MM2 Values, these come out even:

What people are asking for is a different story. Trade Hub shows Embersickle owners most often request an Icepiercer (165), a Snowcannon (680) or a Harvester (250) in return. All three are worth more than the Embersickle, and the Snowcannon is worth almost 7x more, which is why so few of those offers get accepted.
Tips for this week:
- Selling? Expect to take a little under 100. That's what "Underpaid For" means.
- Buying? Don't pay launch-week prices. Anything quoting 250 or more is out of date.
- Want it for the Cauldron? Remember the craft currently loses value. Buy it because you want the Emberscythe, not as an investment.

Will Embersickle go back up after the event?
Nobody can promise that, and box Godlies have a mixed record. Two things work in its favor after November 16:
- Supply stops. No new Embersickles can be unboxed once the box closes.
- Crafting destroys them. Every Emberscythe made removes one Embersickle for good.
Two things work against it:
- Lots already exist. With 13 keys in every player's battle pass and MM2's player count, there are already many thousands in circulation.
- Demand is weak. A demand score of 3/10 and a 7-to-1 offer ratio don't point to a quick rebound.
How big is that player base? On October 27, 2026 at 01:26 UTC, the Roblox Games API showed 283,253 players in Murder Mystery 2, with 31.86 billion total visits. That's concurrent players, not traders, but our read is that more players opening boxes means more Embersickles entering trades. Expect it to stay around 100, or slip further, while the box is still open.
How do you avoid Embersickle trading scams?
- The Chroma swap. Normal and Chroma Embersickle look alike in a small slot. One is 16x the other.
- Old screenshots. Values from October 19–22 were 2.5–9x higher. Check today's list before you trade.
- "Craft it for me." Nobody can use the Cauldron on your behalf. Never hand over your Embersickle or Emberbow to be "crafted and returned."
- Send-first deals. Use MM2's own trade window, where both sides lock in together.
