How to Get Nova in Warframe (2026): Fast Part Farm, Build Cost & Nova Prime

Nova is one of Warframe's most influential frames: a fragile antimatter specialist whose fourth ability, Molecular Prime, can slow an entire room to a crawl or — flipped the other way — speed your whole squad through a mission, while every primed enemy explodes and chains death through the crowd. Veterans still argue "Speedva vs Slowva" in 2026 because the frame is that central to how squads run defense, survival, and Void Fissures. The good news: Nova is a clean, quest-light farm with a single boss node and guaranteed part drops. The catch is that her main blueprint is bought, not dropped, and the boss sits behind a chain of Junctions that trips up newer players. This guide gives you the exact node, the official drop rates, the full build cost, the alternate Circuit route, and how the vaulted Nova Prime fits in — verified against Digital Extremes' own "How to Earn Nova" article and the WARFRAME Wiki, current to Update 44: Iceblade of Narin and its live patch 44.1.0 "The Icebind" (October 2026).

Quick answer: Buy the main Nova blueprint from the in-game Market for 35,000 Credits. Then farm her three component blueprints — Neuroptics, Chassis and Systems — by assassinating The Raptors at the Naamah node on Europa. Each kill is guaranteed to drop one component: Neuroptics 38.72%, Chassis 38.72%, Systems 22.56%, so Systems is the one you'll re-run for. Craft each part in the Foundry (12 hours) and then the finished frame (72 hours), or rush with Platinum. You can also pull the same blueprints from The Circuit in Duviri. Nova Prime is a separate, currently vaulted frame available only through Prime Resurgence (Aya / Regal Aya) or player trading.

Who is Nova and is she worth farming?

Nova is a caster built around a single, game-defining ability: Molecular Prime (her 4). It primes every enemy in a huge radius, applying a damage multiplier and either slowing them to as little as -75% speed ("Slowva") or, with negative Power Strength, speeding them up ("Speedva") so a defense target or extraction runs faster. Primed enemies that die trigger a chain explosion that can cascade across a whole room. Her other three abilities round her out: Null Star surrounds her with antimatter particles that give damage reduction and seek nearby enemies; Antimatter Drop launches a slow orb that absorbs incoming fire and detonates for enormous damage (you and your allies can shoot the orb to charge it); and Wormhole opens a short teleport portal for mobility and speedrunning.

The practical draw in 2026 is that Nova does two jobs almost no other frame does as well: she is both a room-clearing nuke and a squad force-multiplier. Slowva makes Steel Path survival and defense trivial by crippling enemy DPS and accuracy; Speedva is a staple of speedrun and "make the excavator/defense objective go faster" squads — and because she speeds Void Fissure relic-cracking runs, she's a favourite Prime-part farming frame too. She is paper-thin — low health and shields — so she plays as a backline caster, not a brawler. Community meta boards consistently rank her among the best support/control frames for fissures, defense, and survival. That is a use-case strength, not an objective ranking: Warframe has no competitive ladder or DE-published performance data, so treat every "best frame" claim as situational. If you run a lot of endless missions or squad content, Nova is one of the highest-impact frames you can farm early.

The Raptors boss arena on Naamah, Europa, where assassinating the Corpus bosses drops Nova's component blueprints

Where to farm Nova parts: Naamah, Europa (The Raptors)

Here is the part newer players get wrong. Nova's main blueprint is bought, not farmed — it sits in the in-game Market for 35,000 Credits. Only her three component blueprints drop, and they come from exactly one boss: The Raptors, the pair of Corpus bosses you assassinate at the Naamah node on Europa.

Per Digital Extremes' official drop data, each Raptors kill is guaranteed to drop one of Nova's three component blueprints:

Nova componentDrop chance per killNotes
Neuroptics Blueprint38.72%Common — you'll have spares fast
Chassis Blueprint38.72%Common
Systems Blueprint22.56%The grind wall — re-run for this one

Because one component is guaranteed every run, Nova is a fast farm compared to parts that drop at a flat 11%. In practice, budget a handful of runs for Neuroptics and Chassis and roughly 4–6 runs on average before Systems appears, with RNG variance either side. Group up: in a squad everyone's kill rolls the table, so a four-player run can complete the set far faster. Drop rates are DE-published and can change on any hotfix — confirm current numbers on the official drop tables at warframe.com/droptables before you commit to a long grind.

How to unlock Naamah on Europa

You can't fly straight to Naamah — Europa is deep in the Star Chart, gated behind a chain of Junctions. Per DE's official unlock path, you'll need to clear the Junctions leading there:

  • Venus Junction — complete Saya's Vigil (among other tasks)
  • Mercury Junction — complete Vox Solaris
  • Mars Junction — complete Once Awake
  • Ceres Junction — complete Heart of Deimos
  • Jupiter Junction — complete the Archwing quest
  • Europa Junction — complete the Teshub node in the Void

Once Europa is open, work the node path Morax → Valefor → Kokabiel → Naamah to reach the assassination mission. If you're still early and haven't finished these quests, the Circuit route below is a quest-gated alternative that doesn't touch Europa at all.

The Circuit: the alternate Nova farm in Duviri

If you've completed The Duviri Paradox quest, you can earn Nova's blueprints from The Circuit instead of the Raptors. Nova appears on The Circuit's weekly reward rotation, so she's only available some weeks — check the current week's rewards in-game. When she's up, the blueprints sit at these reward tiers:

Circuit reward tierNova blueprint
Tier 2Neuroptics Blueprint
Tier 5Chassis Blueprint
Tier 8Systems Blueprint
Tier 10Main Nova Blueprint

The Circuit is the only route that also hands you the main blueprint for free instead of the 35,000-Credit Market purchase — a nice bonus if you're playing Duviri anyway. The trade-off is the weekly rotation: if Nova isn't in this week's set, you're waiting or farming Europa.

Nova build cost and crafting time

Once you have all four blueprints, here's what the Foundry asks for:

  • Main blueprint: 35,000 Credits from the Market (or free from Circuit Tier 10).
  • Each component (Neuroptics, Chassis, Systems): 12 real-world hours to craft.
  • Nova herself: 72 real-world hours once all three components are built and in your inventory.

You can pay Platinum to rush any of these timers. Each component also needs the usual resources (credits plus common and uncommon materials); gather them while you farm the Raptors and nothing will bottleneck you except the build clock. A sensible order is to queue all three components at once — they craft in parallel — then start the 72-hour frame build.

Skipping the grind the legitimate way: If you'd rather not farm, Nova's finished frame can be bought directly from the in-game Market with Platinum. Platinum is earned for free by trading with other players (sell spare Prime parts, Rivens, or mods through the in-game Trading Post or Maroo's Bazaar — see our guides on how to make Platinum and how to trade in Warframe) or bought from Digital Extremes. Digital Extremes' support team explicitly warns that third-party "discounted Platinum" sellers are not legitimate, and the game's EULA prohibits secondary markets for Platinum and third-party leveling services — so keep every Platinum and trading move inside the game. Player-to-player trading is the only sanctioned shortcut.

How to get Nova Prime

Nova Prime is a separate, upgraded version of the frame with higher armor, energy, and sprint speed and the same kit. She is currently vaulted — her Void Relics have been removed from the regular drop tables, so you cannot farm Nova Prime from ordinary missions right now (verified on the WARFRAME Wiki and corroborated by community trackers). Your two legitimate routes:

  • Prime Resurgence (Varzia, Maroo's Bazaar): During Prime Resurgence, Varzia on Mars sells vaulted Primes. Buy Nova Prime directly with Regal Aya, or spend the free, earned currency Aya on the Void Relics that contain her parts, then crack them in Void Fissures. Earn Aya from Void missions, bounties, and relic packs. Note that Prime Resurgence rotates every few weeks, so Nova Prime is only available some cycles — check what's live.
  • Player trading: Other players who own Nova Prime Relics or spare parts can trade them to you through the in-game Trading Post. Prime part trade values for Nova Prime run roughly 15 Ducats (Neuroptics/Systems), 45 (blueprint), and 100 (Chassis), which tells you their relative rarity — Chassis is the expensive one. Trading requires Mastery Rank 2 and 2FA enabled; the receiver pays the trade tax in Credits.

Because the base Nova and Nova Prime share abilities, many players farm the regular Nova first (it's fast and free) and pick up the Prime later for the extra stats and Mastery. There's no rush: a well-modded base Nova performs the same role. Speedva and Slowva have been fixtures of veteran squad play for years — the frame earns its spot long before you touch the Prime.

FAQ

Where do you farm Nova in Warframe? You farm Nova's three component blueprints by assassinating The Raptors at the Naamah node on Europa. Each kill guarantees one component drop (Neuroptics 38.72%, Chassis 38.72%, Systems 22.56%). Her main blueprint is bought separately from the in-game Market for 35,000 Credits, or earned free from The Circuit in Duviri.

Why can't I farm Nova's main blueprint? By design — Digital Extremes sells Nova's main blueprint in the Market for 35,000 Credits and only has the three component blueprints drop from the Raptors. The one exception is The Circuit, where the main blueprint appears at reward Tier 10. So you either buy it for credits or earn it through Duviri; it never drops from the boss.

How long does it take to build Nova? Each of the three components takes 12 real-world hours to craft, and the finished frame takes another 72 hours once all three parts are built — so about four days total if you don't rush. You can pay Platinum to skip any of these timers.

What's the difference between Speedva and Slowva? Both are the same Nova running her ultimate, Molecular Prime, modded differently. Slowva uses positive Power Strength to slow enemies by up to 75% — ideal for Steel Path survival and defense. Speedva uses negative Power Strength (below 100%) to instead speed enemies up, which is used to make defense targets, excavators, and extraction run faster in speedrun squads. Same frame, opposite mod setup.

Is Nova Prime still farmable in 2026? No — Nova Prime is vaulted, meaning her Relics are no longer in the regular drop tables. The only legitimate ways to get her are during a Prime Resurgence rotation (buy with Regal Aya or farm her Relics with earned Aya through Varzia on Maroo's Bazaar) or by trading with other players for her Relics or parts in-game.

Is Nova good for beginners? Yes, with a caveat. Nova is one of the highest-impact frames a newer player can get, and the farm is quest-light once Europa is unlocked. But she's very fragile — low health and shields — so she plays as a backline caster who controls the room with Molecular Prime rather than a frontline tank. Build for Power Strength and range and let the slow do the work.
