The HSR 4.7 release date is expected on November 11, 2026 on Asia servers, and the evening of November 10 in the Americas. HoYoverse's own Version 4.6 notice fixes the end of the current patch to the minute, and every 4.x update since July has opened with the same 06:00 (UTC+8) maintenance lasting about five hours. Until HoYoverse posts the 4.7 maintenance notice, this guide turns that into an expected launch time for your region, then lays out what comes before it: the 4.7 Special Program livestream, the redemption codes, the pre-download and the 4.6 content that expires on the way out.
Quick answer (checked October 23, 2026, 05:30 UTC):
- Version 4.6 ends: November 11, 2026 at 06:00 (UTC+8), per HoYoverse's Version 4.6 update notice. That is 22:00 UTC on November 10.
- 4.7 maintenance: expected to start at that moment and last about 5 hours, the same window used for 4.4, 4.5 and 4.6.
- 4.7 playable: around 03:00 UTC on November 11, which is 7:00 PM PST / 10:00 PM EST on November 10, 4:00 AM CET and 11:00 AM in Asia (UTC+8) on November 11.
- 4.7 Special Program (livestream): not announced yet. Based on the 4.x pattern we project October 30 to November 4, 2026, at 19:30 (UTC+8).
- Pre-download: projected for November 7 to 9 at 14:00 (UTC+8).
- 4.7 characters and banners: not announced. We do not publish leaked line-ups.
When does HSR 4.7 come out?
Version 4.7 comes out on November 11, 2026, immediately after Version 4.6 closes. The end time is not a guess. The official 4.6 notice says:
"Version 4.6 will run from after the Version 4.6 update until 2026/11/11 06:00 (UTC+8)."
HoYoverse uses that same timestamp as the start of the next update's maintenance. Version 4.6 itself began the same way: its maintenance notice on HoYoLAB scheduled the update for "2026/09/28 06:00 (UTC+8)" and added that "The update will take approximately 5 hours." The 4.5 notice used the identical wording for August 26, and the 4.4 notice for July 15.
What is still missing is the 4.7 maintenance notice itself, which confirms the date, the pre-download and the compensation. HoYoverse posts it two to four days before each update. Until then, November 11 is the date the current version runs out, and this page will be updated the moment the notice is live.
One detail many countdowns get wrong: because the maintenance starts at 06:00 in UTC+8, the Americas get 4.7 on November 10 local time, not November 11. Game8 records 4.6 the same way, as released on "September 27, 2026 (UTC-5)" even though the Asia date was September 28.
What time does HSR 4.7 release in my region?
These times assume the standard 06:00 (UTC+8) start and the roughly five-hour duration HoYoverse quoted for 4.4, 4.5 and 4.6. Maintenance can finish early or run long, so treat the "4.7 playable" column as "about".
| Region | Maintenance starts | 4.7 playable (about) |
|---|---|---|
| US West (PST, UTC-8) | Nov 10, 2:00 PM | Nov 10, 7:00 PM |
| US East (EST, UTC-5) | Nov 10, 5:00 PM | Nov 10, 10:00 PM |
| UK (GMT, UTC+0) | Nov 10, 10:00 PM | Nov 11, 3:00 AM |
| Central Europe (CET, UTC+1) | Nov 10, 11:00 PM | Nov 11, 4:00 AM |
| India (IST, UTC+5:30) | Nov 11, 3:30 AM | Nov 11, 8:30 AM |
| China, Singapore, Philippines, TW/HK/MO (UTC+8) | Nov 11, 6:00 AM | Nov 11, 11:00 AM |
| Japan, Korea (UTC+9) | Nov 11, 7:00 AM | Nov 11, 12:00 PM |
| Sydney, Melbourne (AEDT, UTC+11) | Nov 11, 9:00 AM | Nov 11, 2:00 PM |
Daylight saving has already changed by then. Europe moves to winter time on October 25 and the US on November 1, so the US and Europe rows above are standard time. If you built a countdown in October, check that it did not lock in summer time.
HoYoverse's maintenance notices give a single UTC+8 start time rather than one per server, so an America-server account and an Asia-server account both go down at 22:00 UTC. What differs by server is the daily reset and banner clock afterward: America runs on GMT-5, Europe on GMT+1 and Asia on GMT+8, as explained in our HSR banner schedule.
When is the HSR 4.7 livestream?
HoYoverse has not announced the Version 4.7 Special Program yet. Going by the last versions, it should air between October 30 and November 4, 2026, at 19:30 (UTC+8), which is 11:30 UTC.
The pattern comes straight from HoYoverse's HoYoLAB posts, the 4.5 stream announcement and the 4.6 stream announcement:
| Version | Stream announced | Special Program aired | Update | Stream lead time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4.5 | Aug 10 | Aug 14, 19:30 (UTC+8) | Aug 26 | 12 days |
| 4.6 | Sep 14 | Sep 20, 19:30 (UTC+8) | Sep 28 | 8 days |
| 4.7 | not yet | projected Oct 30 to Nov 4 | Nov 11 | 7 to 12 days |
Across Versions 4.0 to 4.6, the version trailer that premieres at the end of the stream landed between 7 and 12 days before launch. Counting back from November 11 gives the October 30 to November 4 window. Sportskeeda's October 22 projection lands on October 30, at the early edge of that range. The announcement post itself has appeared four to six days before each stream, so if no notice is up by about October 26, a November date becomes more likely.
For local time, 19:30 (UTC+8) is 12:30 PM CET after October 25. In the US it is 7:30 AM EDT / 4:30 AM PDT if the stream airs on October 30 or 31, and 6:30 AM EST / 3:30 AM PST from November 1, when US clocks go back.
Will the 4.7 livestream have redemption codes?
Every recent Special Program has ended with three redemption codes, and they expire fast. HoYoverse's brief on the 4.6 Special Program listed KA5SV3FJM7WX, 7S4AD2X35NE3 and MALSV2F247FP and warned: "The redemption codes will expire on September 21 at 23:59 (UTC+8). Please redeem them as soon as possible."
That is roughly 28 hours after a stream that started at 19:30 on September 20. So if the 4.7 program airs on a given evening in Asia, assume its codes are gone by the end of the following day, Asia time. America-server players lose the most here, since 23:59 (UTC+8) is 10:59 AM EST the same calendar day.
All three 4.6 codes are expired, so do not try them. The permanent and still-working codes are on our Honkai: Star Rail codes page, which we check against HoYoverse and independent trackers daily and will update with the 4.7 stream codes on the day they air.
When can you pre-download HSR 4.7?
Pre-download should open between November 7 and November 9, 2026, at 14:00 (UTC+8), which is 06:00 UTC. That window comes from the last three maintenance notices, for 4.4, 4.5 and 4.6:
| Version | Pre-installation opened | Update maintenance | Days before |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4.4 | Jul 13, 14:00 (UTC+8) | Jul 15, 06:00 | 2 |
| 4.5 | Aug 24, 14:00 (UTC+8) | Aug 26, 06:00 | 2 |
| 4.6 | Sep 24, 14:00 (UTC+8) | Sep 28, 06:00 | 4 |
The 4.6 notice also explains how pre-installation works on each platform, and none of that is expected to change for 4.7:
- PC: open HoYoPlay and click the "Game Pre-Installation" icon to the left of "Start Game". You can keep playing while it downloads.
- Android and iOS: a "Resource Pre-Download" button appears in the bottom-right corner of the login screen. You cannot play while the mobile pre-download runs.
- PlayStation 5: the console pre-installs automatically after you launch the game, if there is enough free storage.
For scale, HoYoverse put the 4.6 PC pre-installation at about 3.58 GB. Expect 4.7 in the same ballpark, and leave extra free space for the patching step on top of the download.
What do you get for the 4.7 maintenance?
HoYoverse pays compensation for every version maintenance. For 4.6 it was 300 Stellar Jade for Trailblazers at Trailblaze Level 4 or higher, sent by in-game mail "within 5 hours after the update is complete" and claimable until the end of the version. The 4.6 update also added a separate 300 Stellar Jade bug compensation.
The 4.7 amount is set in its maintenance notice. The 300 Jade maintenance payment is the standing pattern, while the bug compensation is case by case, so budget on 300.
One thing to check today: that 4.6 bug compensation must be claimed by October 28, 2026 at 23:59 (UTC+8), per the Version 4.6 update notice. If it is still sitting in your mail, collect it before the deadline.
What ends before Version 4.7 starts?
Several 4.6 items close shortly before or at the version change. All dates come from HoYoverse's official Version 4.6 Event Warp: Phase II notice and the Version 4.6 update notice:
| Content | Ends | Clock |
|---|---|---|
| Mortenax Blade "Now I Am Become Blade" Character Event Warp | Nov 10, 15:00 | server time |
| Pearl "An Ocean in a Pearl" Character Event Warp | Nov 10, 15:00 | server time |
| "Reforged in Hellfire" and "Colors for Tomorrow" Light Cone Warps | Nov 10, 15:00 | server time |
| "Interastral Peace Gala: One Take" event | Nov 11, 03:59 | UTC+8 |
| Hyacine and Evanescia outfit discounts | Nov 11, 03:59 | UTC+8 |
| Version 4.6 | Nov 11, 06:00 | UTC+8 |
So the real deadline for the current banners is November 10, 15:00 on your server's clock, more than half a day before maintenance on the Asia server. If you are deciding whether Mortenax Blade or Pearl is worth your Jade, our Version 4.6 Phase 2 banner guide covers both, and your Character Event Warp pity carries into 4.7 either way.
Endgame modes do not reset with the version. The Memory of Chaos "Survival of the Fittest" period runs November 2 to December 14, Apocalyptic Shadow "Dominance of Oblivion" to November 16, and Pure Fiction "Imagined Words" to November 30 (server time). Those clears keep counting after 4.7 lands. Our HSR tier list for Version 4.6 Phase 2 ranks every character for all three modes if you need to fill a team before then.
When will 4.7 Phase 2 start?
Nobody outside HoYoverse knows the exact day yet, but the window is predictable. In every 4.x version, Phase 2 opened 14 to 23 days after the update, at 12:00 server time. For a November 11 launch, that points to roughly November 25 to December 4, 2026. It is a projection, not an announcement, and for 4.6 the official Phase II Warp notice went up on HoYoLAB one day before the swap.
What is confirmed about 4.7 content?
Very little, officially, and that is normal three weeks out. As of October 23 HoYoverse has not posted a 4.7 version title, character previews or a Warp line-up. The most recent official HoYoLAB posts are a 4.6 story recap, the "Phantasmoon Games Season Recap", and the Phase II Warp notice.
You will see 4.7 character names, kits and banner orders on leak sites and in search suggestions. Beta content changes before release and HoYoverse removes leaks, so we leave all of that out. The first official 4.7 information will be the stream announcement post, then the stream itself, then character preview posts in the days after.
How we will update this page:
- Stream announcement posted: exact 4.7 Special Program date and time.
- Stream day: version name, confirmed characters and the three codes (also on the codes page).
- Maintenance notice: confirmed pre-download time, maintenance start and compensation.
FAQ
What is the HSR 4.7 release date? HSR 4.7 is due on November 11, 2026. HoYoverse's Version 4.6 notice ends the current version at 06:00 (UTC+8) that day, which is 22:00 UTC on November 10, so players in the Americas get the update on the evening of November 10 local time.
What time does HSR 4.7 go live? Maintenance should start at 06:00 (UTC+8) and last about five hours, so 4.7 should be playable around 11:00 (UTC+8) on November 11. That is about 7:00 PM PST and 10:00 PM EST on November 10, or 4:00 AM CET on November 11.
When is the HSR 4.7 Special Program livestream? It has not been announced. The 4.5 and 4.6 streams aired 12 and 8 days before their updates at 19:30 (UTC+8), which puts 4.7's between about October 30 and November 4, 2026.
When does HSR 4.7 pre-download start? It is not confirmed yet. The last three versions opened pre-installation two to four days before the update at 14:00 (UTC+8), so expect it between November 7 and November 9, 2026.
Who are the HSR 4.7 banners? HoYoverse has not announced them. The 4.7 characters are revealed in the Special Program livestream. We do not list leaked banners as fact.
Does pity carry over to 4.7? Yes. Character Event Warp pity and the 50/50 guarantee carry over to later character banners, including the 4.7 ones. Light Cone Event Warps keep their own separate counter.
