Coins → Auction House, never random packs. Buying the exact card you need beats a pack lottery. One player shared a cheap ladder: buy 75 OVR cards for about 200–250 coins and 75–76 OVR cards for under 700, then feed them into the Team Builder Sets that skip upgrade steps. 76s go into the 79 set, and those 79s go into the 82 set. Season Tickets → upgrades and Flea Flicker packs. Tickets buy Season 3 Upgrade Tokens to take your 84 OVR reward player toward the 91 OVR maximum EA announced. Weekly Spotlight Tokens → save them. Weekly program solos pay Spotlight Tokens, and mut.gg lists 25-token sets that award a Champion of your choice. That's usually the best free upgrade a new player can get. The set paid a BND 86 OVR at launch, and one player in late October described it as an 89, so check the current tier in-game.
Skill Points → they stay on the player that earned them. EA says Skill Points are "tied to the specific players items you earned them with," so you can't move them between cards. Prioritise objectives on players you plan to keep, like your Captain, and spend each player's points on that player's upgrades.
What mistakes do new MUT 27 players make?
- Expecting Points to turn into coins. They don't. Buying Points only gets you packs. To get coins from a pull, you have to sell a tradeable card.
- Quick-selling tradeable cards. A tradeable card can be worth far more on the Auction House than its quick-sell value. Check the market first.
- Stacking Evos without checking the rules. Some Evos can't be removed, and some can't be combined. The Captain Evo can't be chained with the All-32 Team Chem Evo. - Missing objective resets. Season 3, Most Feared and Weekly Spotlight objectives reset on different days. Check each tab so you don't lose progress.
