Quick answer (TL;DR): Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Endgame is a limited-time 50-player PvE mode in Marvel Rivals Season 10.5, added by the Version 20261022 patch (October 22, 2026, 09:00 UTC, no server downtime). The update installs on October 22, but the mode itself only opens on Saturday, October 24, in two 2-hour sessions: 01:00–03:00 UTC and 18:00–20:00 UTC. After that it returns in limited windows for 4 consecutive weeks, and the wider event closes on November 26, 2026, 09:00 UTC. Taking part earns the Captain America: The Winter Soldier costume for free, plus other rewards. Two side rewards need no Thanos fight at all: a Gallery Card for watching 2 minutes of Endgame clips in Times Square, and 100 Units for a group photo outside the Avengers' Gift Shop.
Below: session times converted to US, UK, EU and Moscow time, what NetEase has actually confirmed about the Thanos fight (and what it hasn't), how to get the free skin without missing a window, and everything else in the October 22 patch notes.

What is the Marvel Rivals Avengers: Endgame mode?
It's the latest Path to Doomsday film tie-in mode NetEase has shipped in the run-up to Avengers: Doomsday, which hits theaters on December 18. Earlier tie-ins include Age of Ultron (a PvE mode in July) and Infinity War (the 2v2 Infinity Stones mode that went live with Season 10.5 on October 9 — see our Infinity War mode guide). Endgame flips the format again: instead of six duos fighting each other, up to 50 players fight together against Thanos and his army in the ruins of the Avengers Compound, recreating the final battle of the 2019 film.
The official patch notes set the stakes in one line:
"Thanos from the past has breached the timeline, leading his forces to tear the cosmos apart and forge it anew… It's the fight of their lives. This time, hope won't turn to dust! Avengers Assemble!"

Three numbers frame the whole event:
| Detail | Confirmed value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Players per battle | Up to 50, all on the same side | Official trailer / NetEase announcement |
| Session length | 2 hours per window | Version 20261022 patch notes |
| Run length | 4 consecutive weeks of sessions | Version 20261022 patch notes |
| Event window | Oct 22, 09:00 UTC → Nov 26, 09:00 UTC (35 days) | Version 20261022 patch notes |
| Headline reward | Captain America – Captain America: The Winter Soldier costume, free | Version 20261022 patch notes |
That 50-player count is a big jump for a game built around 6v6. Until now the largest Marvel Rivals lobbies were the 18v18 Annihilation mode (36 players) and the Times Square hub, which holds up to 100 players but has no combat.
When does the Marvel Rivals Endgame mode start in my time zone?
This is where most players will trip up. The patch goes live on Thursday, October 22, but you cannot queue for the Thanos fight until Saturday, October 24. And even then it's not an always-on playlist: it is open only during the scheduled windows.
The two confirmed opening sessions, converted:
| Session (Oct 24) | UTC | US Eastern (EDT) | US Pacific (PDT) | UK (BST) | Central Europe (CEST) | Moscow (MSK) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Session 1 | 01:00–03:00 | Fri Oct 23, 9–11 PM | Fri Oct 23, 6–8 PM | 2–4 AM | 3–5 AM | 4–6 AM |
| Session 2 | 18:00–20:00 | 2–4 PM | 11 AM–1 PM | 7–9 PM | 8–10 PM | 9–11 PM |
Two things to watch:
- For North America, Session 1 is on Friday evening, not Saturday. 01:00 UTC on October 24 is still October 23 in every US time zone.
- Clocks change mid-event. The UK and EU leave summer time on October 25, and the US on November 1. NetEase publishes times in UTC, so if later weeks reuse the same UTC slots, your local time moves one hour earlier (for example, 18:00 UTC becomes 6 PM in London and 1 PM Eastern).
The patch notes say the mode "will be available for limited times each subsequent week based on this schedule", but they only print the October 24 dates. Read literally, that points to the same two slots every Saturday (October 31, November 7 and November 14), but NetEase hasn't listed those dates individually. Check the in-game event page each week before you plan around it. We'll update this guide once later sessions are confirmed.
How does the 50-player Thanos fight work?
What the official trailer and NetEase's announcement show:
- Thanos is a raid boss. He's scaled up to roughly Giant-Man size and swings his double-edged sword, which in the footage takes out several heroes at once. Polygon noted the sword "can instantly kill his foes".
- He calls in air support. His warship can bombard the field from above, wiping out large groups of players in a single strike, as Kotaku described it.
- He brings an army. The trailer shows waves of Outrider-style aliens charging the heroes, much like the film's final battle.
- The arena is the ruined Avengers Compound, with the trailer's wide shots showing sorcerer portals opening across the battlefield, just like the film.
What NetEase has not published yet: the full list of Thanos' attack phases, any hero-selection limits, the exact win condition, and whether a failed run still counts toward rewards.
Practical prep while you wait (our suggestions, not tested yet, since the mode isn't live):
- Install the patch before Saturday. Version 20261022 lands October 22 with no downtime, so there's no reason to spend part of a 2-hour window downloading.
- Lean toward heroes who survive area damage. Both attacks shown in the trailer hit a crowd: the sword sweep and the warship bombardment. Self-healing or mobile heroes should handle that better than fragile backline picks.
- Expect busy queues early in each window. With 50-player lobbies and only one 2-hour slot at a time, the start of each session is likely to be the busiest. If the queue stalls, try again later in the window.
- Do the Times Square tasks first. They're open from October 22 and take minutes (see below), so knock them out before Saturday.
How do you get the free Captain America: The Winter Soldier costume?
The patch notes state you can "join in this epic battle to earn Captain America's – Captain America: The Winter Soldier costume and other rewards for FREE". Three details matter:
- It's a Captain America costume, not an outfit for the separate Winter Soldier hero. The name comes from the 2014 film.
- The exact unlock tasks aren't published yet. No match count or "defeat Thanos X times" requirement appears in the October 21 announcement. Open the event reward screen on October 24 rather than assuming one match unlocks it.
- Sessions are scarce. With only 2-hour windows across 4 weeks, missing a weekend could cost you a quarter of your remaining chances. If the tasks turn out to be multi-step, start in week one.
The wider event closes November 26, 2026, 09:00 UTC, which is 4 AM EST / 1 AM PST that day. That deadline is for the overall promotion, not a promise that a battle is open in the final hours.

What Times Square rewards can you get without fighting Thanos?
The October 22 patch also adds an Endgame theme to the Times Square hub, open October 22 – November 26:
- Avengers: Endgame Highlights Screening. Go to the viewing area and watch for 2 continuous minutes to unlock the exclusive Gallery Card – Avengers: Endgame. The viewing must be continuous, so stay in the area for the full 2 minutes.
- Iconic Scenes Photo Ops. Find the photo walls outside the Avengers' Gift Shop and take a group photo with the NPCs to instantly earn 100 Units.
Both are quick, free, and need no PvE clear, so they're the easiest wins of the update.
What else is in the Marvel Rivals October 22 patch notes?
There are no balance changes in Version 20261022. No hero gets buffed or nerfed, so the competitive meta from the October 9 Season 10.5 launch still stands. Our Season 10.5 patch notes breakdown and Season 10.5 tier list remain current. The rest of the patch is store content and fixes.

Should you play Endgame mode or keep grinding ranked?
You can do both, because Endgame has no ranked impact and only runs during short windows. The real squeeze is the calendar. Season 11 is scheduled for November 13, so Season 10.5 has about three weeks left. Every weekend you spend in a 2-hour Thanos window is time you're not spending on your last ranked push before the reset. (Full details in our Season 11 release date guide.)
If you'd rather spend your Saturdays farming the free Cap skin and the Endgame rewards while your rank keeps climbing, that's exactly what a boost is for:
