Marvel Rivals Season 11 Release Date (November 13): Expected Start Time, New Heroes & Rank Reset

Marvel Rivals Season 11 has a date: Friday, November 13, 2026. It's the last card on NetEase's official Season 10.5 roadmap, and it lands 25 days after this guide's October 19 update. Season 10 and Season 10.5 updates both started at 09:00 UTC, and the current events end at that exact minute on November 13, so expect the Season 11 update to start then too.

Most "Season 11" pages stop at the date. This one also covers the two heroes NetEase has promised and who the leaks point to, plus the part that matters if you play ranked: how the November 13 reset actually works. Plenty of guides still describe a flat six-division drop. That rule was retired in Season 5. Since then, 10 placement matches decide your Season 11 rank, and they start from your Season 10 finish.

Quick answer: when does Marvel Rivals Season 11 start?

TL;DR (verified October 19, 2026):

  • Release date: November 13, 2026, listed as "Season 11.0" on the official Season 10.5 roadmap NetEase posted to the Marvel Rivals X account.
  • Expected start time: maintenance starting at 09:00 UTC (1:00 AM PT / 4:00 AM ET / 10:00 CET), with servers back roughly two hours later if it matches Season 10.5's estimated downtime. Season 10 and Season 10.5 both began at 09:00 UTC, and the official Version 20260924 notes end Galacta's Gift Vol. 3 at November 13, 09:00 UTC. NetEase hasn't printed the Season 11 time yet.
  • New heroes: NetEase has promised two during Season 11, after Season 10 shipped only one (Gorr). The leaked pair is Doctor Doom and Nightcrawler. Neither is confirmed, and it's not confirmed that both arrive on November 13.
  • Rank reset: Yes, on November 13. You play 10 placement matches. Your starting estimate is your Season 10 final rank minus three divisions, and finishers at Celestial II or higher restart at Grandmaster II.
  • Still open until Nov 13: the Season 10.5 Gold reward, Jeff the Land Shark "Razor-Tooth". Play 10 Competitive matches in Season 10.5 and finish the half-season at Gold or higher.

What time does Season 11 start in your time zone?

NetEase hasn't published a Season 11 patch note yet. It normally goes up two to three days before launch. The recent launches have followed a consistent 09:00 UTC pattern, though: Season 10 opened on September 11 at 09:00 UTC, and Season 10.5's notes read "This update begins on October 9th, 2026, at 09:00:00 (UTC)" (official Version 20261009 notes), followed by about two hours of estimated downtime. The current event windows close at that same minute on November 13.

US daylight saving ends on November 1, so here's the expected maintenance start for launch day:

RegionExpected maintenance start (Nov 13, 2026)
US West (PT)1:00 AM
US East (ET)4:00 AM
UK (GMT)9:00 AM
Central Europe (CET)10:00 AM
Moscow (MSK)12:00 PM
Japan (JST)6:00 PM
Australia East (AEDT)8:00 PM

Add roughly two hours for servers to reopen. If the client shows an update and you can't queue, it's most likely the patch going in rather than an outage.

What's left in Season 10.5 before November 13?

Season 10.5 is the first half-season with no new hero. NetEase put the dev time into the two Path to Doomsday modes instead. The rest of the official roadmap (the header image above, mirrored on marvelrivals.gg) looks like this:

  • October 22: Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Endgame. This is a 50-player PvE mode where everyone fights Thanos and his army in the ruins of the Avengers Compound. It's on the October 23 roadmap card, and press coverage pins it to the October 22 patch, so it lands this week.
  • October 30: Halloween – Night of Illusions event, plus new Winter Soldier costume content.
  • November 6: Spider-Man "Worthy Spider-Man" and The Thing "Cosmic Cook" costumes.
  • November 13: Season 11.0.

The latest live patch is Version 20261015 (October 15). It was content only: the All Hallows' Glow event (free Rocket Raccoon "Trash King" costume, running until November 13, 09:00 UTC) two hero bug fixes and some map collision fixes. No hero numbers changed. The ranked meta is still the one set by the Season 10.5 balance patch on October 9, so our Season 10.5 patch notes breakdown and Season 10.5 tier list still hold until Season 11.

The Avengers: Infinity War 2v2 duo mode isn't going anywhere either. It runs until December 11, 2026, well into Season 11. If you still need a duo for it, see our Path to Doomsday best heroes guide.

Which new heroes are coming in Season 11?

Here's what's confirmed: NetEase has promised two heroes. When Season 10 launched with only Gorr the God Butcher, the 54th hero, players worried that one-hero seasons were the new plan. Creative director Guangyun "Guangguang" Chen answered that directly in the Season 10 Dev Vision:

"We want to reassure the community that a single-hero season isn't the new normal." — Guangyun Chen, Marvel Rivals creative director (via FRVR)

In the same video he confirmed that two heroes are planned for Season 11. That would take the roster from 54 to 56 over the season.

Here's what's leaked, not confirmed: Doctor Doom and Nightcrawler.

Doctor Doom, leaked as one of the two Marvel Rivals Season 11 heroes

Doctor Doom. He's been the game's central villain since launch season "Doom's Rise", but has never been playable. The leaker X0XLeak named Doom for Season 11 back in June. In early October the same leaker posted a gallery card showing both Doom and Nightcrawler (FRVR report). Gallery cards have teased the next season's heroes before: one hinted at Jubilee and The Hood ahead of Season 9, and Gorr was teased the same way before Season 10. Doom's role and kit are unknown. Anything you see describing his abilities right now is fan concept.

Nightcrawler illustrative character art (not an in-game Marvel Rivals model), the second leaked Season 11 hero

Nightcrawler (the image above is illustrative animation art, not a Marvel Rivals model). He's been in the game files for a long time and was widely expected as Season 10's second hero. That slot went to the Path to Doomsday modes instead, so the leak says he simply moved to Season 11. His role is genuinely unclear: an old January 2025 datamine listed him as a Duelist, and later reports framed him as a teleporting support. Don't build plans around either until NetEase posts his hero page.

Here's how the leaker has done so far:

SeasonLeaked heroesWhat actually happened
Season 9Jubilee, The HoodBoth released
Season 10Gorr, NightcrawlerOnly Gorr released
Season 11Doctor Doom, NightcrawlerNot confirmed yet

Of the four heroes this leaker named for Seasons 9 and 10, three shipped on schedule. That's a good record, but not proof. NetEase typically reveals new heroes with a trailer in the weeks before a season starts, so watch for an official reveal before November 13. We'll update this page when it lands.

Does your rank reset in Season 11, and where will you start?

Yes. Ranks reset on November 13, and the reset works differently from how most guides describe it.

Marvel Rivals Placement Matches screen, the system that sets your Season 11 starting rank

Up to Season 4, every player dropped a fixed number of divisions at a new season. Season 5 replaced that with placements, and NetEase's Season 5 notes put the rule plainly: "your first 10 ranked matches are Placement Matches. Your performance determines your starting tier." Season 10.5 didn't touch ranks at all. Its notes have no ranked section beyond the Gold reward, and no half-season since Season 1.5 has reset rank. That means the rank you hold when Season 10 ends on November 13 (exact cutoff time not yet printed) is your Season 10 final rank, and that's what Season 11 builds from.

For returning players who completed placements before, the predicted starting rank uses the formula from the official Season 5 notes:

  • Returning players: Season 10 final rank minus three divisions.
  • Celestial II and above (Celestial II, Celestial I, Eternity, One Above All): start at Grandmaster II.
  • Bronze III to Silver III: start at Bronze III.
  • Your historical peak rank isn't used here. It only feeds the estimate for first-time placements.
  • New ranked players: start at a Silver III estimate.

Then the 10 placement matches move you from there. Since Season 7, placements also score your own performance, and once all ten are done your rank is adjusted by −100 to +100 points. That's up to one full division either way, since one division is 100 points.

Season 10 final rankSeason 11 predicted start (before placements)
Gold ISilver I
Platinum IGold I
Diamond IPlatinum I
Grandmaster IIIDiamond III
Grandmaster IDiamond I
Celestial IIIGrandmaster III
Celestial II or higherGrandmaster II

One trap catches people every season: if you don't finish all 10 placements, you get no season rewards at all, per NetEase's Season 5 notes. Play your ten early, and on your best role.

Placement parties are stricter than normal queue rules. Per the Season 5 notes, you can place in a party of at most three, and the members' ranks must be less than three divisions apart. The tighter high-rank limits (solo or duo at Celestial and above) still take priority.

How hard is the climb going into Season 11?

The ladder is steeper than it feels from inside it, at least on PC. According to the RivalsTracker count of 1,034,781 tracked PC profiles in Season 10 (read October 8, via LFCarry's rank distribution):

  • Diamond and above = top 23.81% of tracked PC profiles
  • Grandmaster and above = top 8.14%
  • Celestial and above = top 1.38%
  • Silver III is the single biggest division, at 14.78%

That spread is why the three-division starting cut hurts. A Grandmaster III finish restarts at Diamond III, right in the busiest skilled band of the ladder. Players on r/marvelrivals are feeling it. In a thread from a player who started the half-season badly, one commenter described climbing to Diamond II with 99 points, losing all the way back to Platinum II, and then fighting back toward Diamond I. Another said they lost 11 straight on the first day of the half-season, dropped from Grandmaster II to Diamond III, and uninstalled.

The most useful advice in that thread was boring: stop after two or three losses in a row, and if you're stuck, learn a tank. One commenter's reasoning was that tank is usually the role nobody wants to fill, so a team with only one is in trouble.

What should you do before November 13?

You have about three and a half weeks. Here's where your time pays off most:

  • Play 10 Competitive matches in Season 10.5 and finish it at Gold or higher. That earns the free Jeff the Land Shark "Razor-Tooth" costume (official Version 20261009 notes). If you're already Gold or above, play your 10 matches and stay there through November 13.
  • Push your Season 10 final rank as high as you can. Below Celestial II, every division you gain now raises your Season 11 starting estimate by one division. A Diamond I finish starts at Platinum I; one more division to Grandmaster III starts you at Diamond III. Season-end rewards also need completed placements and are paid on your rank when the season ends, so don't drop it in the final week.
  • Lock in a second hero per role. Each team bans three heroes from Gold III up. If your only main gets banned during placements, you're playing your ten on a weaker hero, and those are the games that count most.
  • Queue with a duo if it helps, but check the party limits. Below Celestial, any party size except a five-stack is allowed in normal Competitive. At Celestial and above it's solo or duo only, and placement parties are capped at three.
  • Climb with the current meta, not hopes about Season 11. The October 9 balance patch is still live. The Season 11 notes will almost certainly reshuffle it, but that doesn't help your rank before November 13. Our best team-up abilities for Season 10.5 is the fastest win-rate shortcut right now.

Short on time before the November 13 reset? Our boosters can lock in your Season 10 finish (and with it a higher Season 11 placement start) while you play other things.

What else is expected with the Season 11 launch?

Not much is confirmed beyond the date and the two-hero promise. Here's what every full season so far has included, so you know what to watch for in the patch notes:

  • A new battle pass. Season 10's "The Godbomb" ends with Season 10.5. A new pass and theme arrive on November 13.
  • A balance pass. Full-season patches have carried the biggest balance changes. Season 10's touched about 70% of the roster.
  • A new Gold-tier ranked costume for Season 11.
  • Probably a new map. Season 10 added one (the God Quarry Domination map), but NetEase hasn't said anything for Season 11.

There's one more reason NetEase needs Season 11 to land. On Steam, the Season 10.5 launch peaked at about 84,600 concurrent players, compared with 146,426 for Season 10 and 144,922 for Season 9.5 (SteamCharts, via FRVR). Both of those seasons launched a hero. Those numbers only cover Steam, not consoles, but a two-hero launch built around Doom would be NetEase's most obvious way to win players back.

FAQ

When does Marvel Rivals Season 11 come out? Season 11 starts on November 13, 2026, per the official Season 10.5 roadmap. Based on the Season 10 and 10.5 launch times and the official event end times, expect maintenance to start at 09:00 UTC (1:00 AM PT, 4:00 AM ET), with servers back roughly two hours later.

How many new heroes are in Season 11? NetEase has promised two during Season 11. Creative director Guangyun Chen said a single-hero season "isn't the new normal" and confirmed two heroes are planned. It's not confirmed whether both arrive on November 13. Leaks point to Doctor Doom and Nightcrawler, but NetEase hasn't named them yet.

Is Doctor Doom playable in Season 11? He's leaked, not confirmed. A gallery-card leak from X0XLeak lists Doom and Nightcrawler for Season 11, and the same source correctly called Jubilee and The Hood for Season 9. Expect an official reveal trailer in the run-up to launch.

Will my rank reset in Season 11? Yes. On November 13 you play 10 placement matches, starting from an estimate of your Season 10 final rank minus three divisions. Celestial II and higher restart at Grandmaster II. Your individual performance then adjusts the result by up to ±100 points.

Do I lose my Season 10.5 rewards when Season 11 starts? Only if you haven't earned them yet. The Season 10.5 Gold costume (Jeff the Land Shark "Razor-Tooth") needs 10 Competitive matches in Season 10.5 and a Gold-or-higher finish when the half-season ends on November 13. Season-end rewards also require completed placements.

Is there a new hero before Season 11? No. Season 10.5 has no new hero, so Gorr the God Butcher stays the newest of the 54 heroes until November 13. The rest of 10.5 is about the Path to Doomsday modes, including the 50-player Avengers: Endgame PvE fight against Thanos on October 22.
