When Does Warzone Ranked Come Back? Not on MW4's Nov 6 Roadmap (Likely Window Inside)

Warzone Ranked Play has no announced return date, and it isn't on the November 6 Season 1 roadmap. The Season 06 Resurgence Ranked ladder was a deliberately short four-week run that has already finished. The official Modern Warfare 4 roadmap puts Warzone's MW4 integration on Season 1, November 6, 2026, but it has no Ranked Play line. A day-one return isn't ruled out; it just isn't announced. The last two integrations are the best guide we have: Ranked returned 21 days after the Black Ops 6 handover and 63 days after the Black Ops 7 handover.

TL;DR: when does Warzone Ranked come back?

  • Not available right now. The Season 06 ladder was planned as a short season: three weeks of normal Ranked play followed by one week of Ranked Series, during which SR is frozen. That run is over.
  • No date yet. MW4 Season 1 launches in MW4 and Warzone on Friday, November 6, 2026, but the official roadmap (posted October 14) has no date for Warzone Ranked or MW4 multiplayer Ranked.
  • History says weeks, not days. BO6 era: Season 01 launched Nov 14, 2024, and Warzone Ranked arrived Dec 5, 2024 (21 days). BO7 era: Season 01 launched Dec 4, 2025, and Ranked Resurgence returned Feb 5, 2026 (63 days).
  • Illustrative window: if MW4 followed the same pattern, that would be roughly Nov 27, 2026 to Jan 8, 2027. Two past cycles are a guide, not a forecast, and nothing is announced.
  • What carries: cosmetics you already earned stay in your inventory (but legacy weapon camos won't be usable on legacy weapons in MW4-era Warzone). The Season 06 SR ladder and its Top 250 board end with Season 06.

Why can't I find Ranked Play in Warzone right now?

Because Season 06 Ranked was built to end early. Call of Duty announced the shortened run when Season 06 "The Haunting" launched on September 17, 2026. The official Season 06 blog put it plainly:

"Note that Season 06 features a shortened run time for Resurgence Ranked Play. Check in-game for more info." (Call of Duty, Season 06 "The Haunting" announcement)

The Warzone Season 06 patch notes set the schedule: "Ranked Play Resurgence will follow the same schedule as Multiplayer Ranked, with three weeks of normal Ranked play followed by one week of Ranked Series." The Season 06 announcement adds that the season was "already set to last just four weeks." That puts the climbable part of the ladder at roughly September 17 to early October, followed by the Ranked Series week, with Ranked effectively finished by mid-October.

So if you're scrolling the Warzone playlist menu and seeing only casual Battle Royale and Resurgence, nothing is broken on your end. That's also what players in an r/CODWarzone thread asking how to find ranked were told this week: the shared view in the replies was that Ranked is done until Warzone moves to MW4 on November 6. Half of that is right. Ranked is done for this cycle, but nothing official says it comes back on November 6.

Already-earned rewards are safe. Season 06 Warzone Ranked ran its own reward track, separate from BO7 Multiplayer Ranked. The patch notes cut the top-placement targets because of the shorter season: a weapon blueprint at 5 top placements (the Glory of Gilgamesh Carbon 57) and a Large Decal at 25 top placements. Anything already in your inventory stays there. It just can't be earned anymore.

What did Season 06 change about SR?

Season 06 was also a test. Raven used it to fight SR inflation at the top of the ladder, and the numbers explain why the final climb felt so slow. From the patch notes:

"We're happy with the SR journey for players in the Bronze through Platinum divisions, but we've seen significant SR inflation in Diamond and above over the past few seasons. To address this, we're increasing deployment fees in those top divisions."

Bar chart of Warzone Season 06 Ranked max earnable SR per match by division compared with previous seasons, from the official patch notes

Division (SR breakpoint)S06 deployment feeS06 max SR per matchPrevious max SR
Diamond I (5,400)75200210
Crimson I (7,500)130145190
Iridescent / Top 250 (10,000)170105155
Iridescent / Top 250 (12,500)23045105
Iridescent / Top 250 (15,000)270555

Three other changes matter for the next ladder:

  • All SR Challenges were disabled for Season 06, because players were stockpiling them as an end-of-season SR cushion.
  • Division breakpoints didn't change. Diamond I still sits at 5,400 SR and Iridescent at 10,000.
  • The Ranked sandbox opened up. The NX Ravager crossbow (explosive bolts included), M10 Breacher shotgun (Dragon's Breath ammo still restricted), AAROW 109 and A.R.C. M1 launchers and the Claymore all became legal, with one-shot protection so none of them can one-shot a player.

Raven said Season 06 would "provide valuable data on SR progression, leaderboard separation, Loadout diversity, and the overall feel of Ranked Play at the highest levels" to guide future competitive experiences. In practice, expect the MW4-era ladder to use new math. Don't plan your climb on Season 06 fee tables.

When does Warzone Ranked come back with MW4?

There's no official date. Here's what is confirmed for November 6:

  • MW4 Season 1 starts on Friday, November 6, 2026, in both Modern Warfare 4 and Warzone, per the official roadmap Call of Duty posted on October 14. It's also MW4's first Battle Pass season.
  • Warzone becomes the MW4-era Warzone. From Season 1, Warzone runs on MW4 content and seasonal progression: MW4 weapons, operators and the Battle Pass.
  • Two maps arrive: Hajin, the DMZ map, moves into Battle Royale, and Zodiac, the train-crossed Resurgence map first played in the MW4 Open Beta, joins the Resurgence rotation. Both were announced at Call of Duty: NEXT on August 21. (Background on the BR map: our Hajin Warzone breakdown.)
  • No Ranked line. The roadmap lists Season 1, but not Ranked Play for Warzone or for MW4 multiplayer. MW4 multiplayer Ranked has no date yet either (see MW4 Ranked Play: is it at launch?).

What the last two integrations tell us

Integration launches are crowded: a new arsenal, a new map, new progression and a new Battle Pass all ship at once. In both recent cycles, Activision kept Ranked out of day one and added it a few weeks later.

Chart: Warzone Ranked Play returned 21 days after the BO6 integration and 63 days after the BO7 integration; MW4 illustrative window late November 2026 to early January 2027

CycleIntegration season launchedWarzone Ranked arrivedGap
Black Ops 6Season 01, Nov 14, 2024Season 01 Reloaded, Dec 5, 2024 (BR Ranked)21 days
Black Ops 7Season 01, Dec 4, 2025Season 02, Feb 5, 2026 (Ranked Resurgence)63 days
Modern Warfare 4Season 1, Nov 6, 2026Not announcedProjected 21–63 days

Both returns are on Call of Duty's own blogs. The BO6 Season 01 blog told players to "expect further intel on this mode in the Season 01 Reloaded Blog in early December," and the Season 01 Reloaded announcement then confirmed "the arrival of Battle Royale Ranked Play for Call of Duty: Warzone" on December 5. The BO7 Season 02 announcement listed "both Black Ops 7 and Resurgence Ranked Play" for its February 5 launch. That return ran on Haven's Hollow rather than a Battle Royale map.

Our read: apply the same 21–63-day gap to November 6 and you get an illustrative window of about November 27, 2026 to January 8, 2027. Two cycles are a small sample, so treat it as a guide, not a forecast. The early end lines up with a typical Season 1 Reloaded mid-season update. The late end lines up with Season 2. Season 06 is the reason we lean later rather than earlier: Raven explicitly called it a data-gathering season for tuning SR, and a retuned ladder plus a brand-new Resurgence map (Zodiac) is a lot to ship in the first weeks of a new title. Treat any specific date you see before Activision's Season 1 blog as a guess.

Will my Warzone rank carry over to MW4?

Your rewards do; your rank doesn't. Here's what to expect at the switch:

  • Cosmetics you already unlocked (Ranked blueprints, decals, calling cards, rank camos earned in BO7-era Warzone) stay in your inventory. Blueprints carry into MW4-era Warzone; legacy weapon camos stay usable inside BO7 but won't show on legacy weapons in MW4-era Warzone.
  • Your Season 06 SR and division belong to Season 06. Mid-title seasons only soft-reset (in Season 5, Bronze to Gold players kept their SR), but the first Ranked ladder of a new title has started everyone fresh in Bronze, and Activision hasn't said anything to suggest MW4 will be different.
  • Legacy weapon camos won't show in MW4-era Warzone. Activision corrected its own blog: legacy Operators, Operator Skins and Weapon Blueprints carry forward, but legacy weapon camos don't, because legacy weapons won't support Gunsmith. (Full breakdown: do BO7 camos carry into MW4 Warzone?)
  • Last-gen players lose Warzone. Per Activision Support, Warzone on PS4 and Xbox One stays playable only until the Season 1 integration, and MW4 is current-gen only (PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Switch 2).

One more Season 1 note for console players: Call of Duty Updates says PS5 and Xbox Series X/S players will need Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) enabled for Performance Mode in Warzone with Season 1. Check your TV settings before your placements start.

How do I get ready for the next Warzone Ranked ladder?

Every new ladder rewards the players who show up prepared, while the field is still spread out and nobody has settled into the meta. Here's how to use the gap, ranked by impact:

  • Level MW4 weapons now. From November 6, Warzone runs the MW4 arsenal. Every MW4 gun you level in multiplayer or DMZ before then is a ready Warzone loadout on day one, while everyone else is still unlocking attachments. MW4-era Ranked restrictions aren't announced, so not every gun or attachment may end up Ranked-legal. The MW4 player level runs to 55 before Prestige.
  • Learn Zodiac and Hajin early. If Ranked Resurgence returns, Zodiac is a likely candidate map, since it's the new MW4-era Resurgence map (not confirmed). Casual Resurgence on Zodiac from Nov 6 is free practice for rotations and train timings.
  • Rebuild your qualification habit. Ranked has always been gated: in the BO6 era, players had to place among the top squads in at least 30 matches before they could queue. MW4's gate isn't announced yet, but top-placement play in casual Resurgence is the habit that clears it fastest.
  • Plan for a steep top end. Season 06 squeezed SR above Diamond (5 SR per match at 15,000). Whatever the new tuning, consistency, not highlight games, is what carries you through Crimson and Iridescent.
  • Save Double Weapon XP tokens for MW4 guns. They speed up weapon levels, not SR or placements, so spend them leveling the MW4 arsenal you'll actually take into Warzone.

If the climb doesn't fit your schedule, or your lobbies are too stacked to push past Diamond, a pro-played ranked climb gets you to your target division before the first MW4-era Ranked rewards lock.

What else changes for Warzone on November 6?

For the Ranked crowd, three things matter beyond the maps:

  • Seasonal progression switches to MW4. Warzone XP and unlocks feed the MW4 system from Season 1, so from November 6 leveling done in Warzone counts toward MW4 gear.
  • A new Battle Pass and BlackCell start with Season 1. They aren't available at MW4's October 23 launch.
  • BO7 stays on BO7. Your BO7 camos, Dark Ops and Prestige remain earnable inside Black Ops 7 itself. If you're wrapping those up before the lobbies thin out, our BO7 player count check covers what the data shows.

If you ever hit the "further verification required" lock once Ranked does return, the fix is the same as in the BO7 era. See our Warzone Ranked Play locked fix. For how the most recent full ladder worked, from divisions and SR to the deployment fee, see the Warzone Ranked Play Season 5 guide.

FAQ

When does Warzone Ranked come back? There's no official date. The MW4 Season 1 roadmap (Nov 6, 2026) doesn't list Ranked Play. After the last two integrations, Warzone Ranked returned 21 days later (BO6) and 63 days later (BO7). If MW4 followed that pattern, it would land between late November 2026 and early January 2027, but that's an illustration, not an announcement.

Is Warzone Ranked Play gone forever? No. It's between seasons. The Season 06 Resurgence Ranked run was shortened to about four weeks on purpose, and Raven has said it's using that season's data to guide future competitive experiences. Ranked has come back after every recent integration.

Why did Season 06 Ranked end so early? Season 06 was BO7's final Warzone season before MW4 takes over Warzone, so Raven ran a short four-week Ranked season (three weeks of normal play and one Ranked Series week with frozen SR) and used it to test higher deployment fees above Diamond.

Does my Warzone SR carry over to MW4? No. Season 06 SR and divisions stay with Season 06, and the first MW4-era Ranked ladder is expected to start everyone fresh. Cosmetic rewards you already earned stay in your inventory.

Will Warzone Ranked be on Zodiac or Hajin? Activision hasn't said. Zodiac is the new MW4-era Resurgence map and Hajin is the new Battle Royale map, both arriving Nov 6. The BO7-era return was Resurgence-only, so a Zodiac Ranked Resurgence playlist would fit the pattern, but that's unconfirmed.

Can I still earn Season 06 Warzone Ranked rewards? No. The ladder has closed, so the Season 06 blueprint (5 top placements), the Large Decal (25 top placements) and the division camos can no longer be earned. Anything you unlocked stays.
