Wuthering Waves Tier List (Version 3.7 Phase I): Best Resonators

Quick answer (last checked 18 October 2026, 08:35 UTC, Version 3.7 Phase I). The top of the Wuthering Waves meta right now is Hiyuki, Jingran, Qingxiao and Yangyang: Xuanling as main DPS, Denia, Iuno, Lucilla and Lynae as hybrids, and Chisa, Mornye, Suisui and Shorekeeper as supports, all T0 for Tower of Adversity at Sequence 0. The new 5-star Hsin (Electro, Rectifier) enters at T0.5 with an upward watch flag, and one major list already has her at its top tier. Suoming arrives with Phase II on 22 October 2026 and is not ranked by the main lists until she has been tested live. This page combines two established tier lists rather than inventing a third, and it is refreshed in place at every phase change.

If you came here to decide where your Astrite goes before the Phase I banners close when Phase II opens on 22 October, the short version is this: Hsin is a strong pull with a lot of headroom, Chisa and Iuno are proven reruns, and nobody should be pulling for Suoming on hype alone four days before anyone has played her. The rest of this page explains why, tier by tier.

How is this Wuthering Waves tier list ranked?

This list ranks Resonators by how they perform in Tower of Adversity, the endgame mode most players use to measure an account, at Sequence 0 with a reasonable weapon. A character's tier can shift in Whimpering Wastes, which has different stages and buffs, and we flag the big differences below.

We do not run our own damage simulations, and we would rather tell you that than pretend. Instead, the placements here are built from two established, regularly updated tier lists:

  • Prydwen's Tower of Adversity tier list, the most-cited community ranking, last revised for Version 3.7 on 30 September 2026 and mirrored by WuWaBuild on 1 October.
  • WuWa Wiki's tier list, updated for Version 3.7 on 11 October 2026, which ranks 59 Resonators across Main DPS, Sub-DPS and Support columns.

Where both lists agree, we call it consensus. Where they disagree, we say so and tell you which way to lean. The tier labels below follow Prydwen's scale (T0 down to T4) because it splits the top end more finely than a letter scale. As WuWaBuild puts it in its own method note:

"Resonators are evaluated at S0 unless a sequence badge says otherwise, and individual investment and team composition will move results either way."

That last part matters. A T1 character you have built to the ceiling will out-clear a T0 you pulled yesterday and never levelled. Treat tiers as a pull guide, not a verdict on your team.

Who are the best Resonators in Wuthering Waves right now?

Twelve characters sit at T0 on Prydwen's Version 3.7 list, split evenly across the three roles.

RoleT0 Resonators (Element)
Main DPSHiyuki (Glacio), Jingran (Fusion), Qingxiao (Aero), Yangyang: Xuanling (Havoc)
Hybrid / Sub-DPSDenia (Fusion), Iuno (Aero), Lucilla (Glacio), Lynae (Spectro)
SupportChisa (Havoc), Mornye (Fusion), Suisui (Glacio), Shorekeeper (Spectro)

WuWa Wiki's top tier (SS) contains ten of those twelve. The two exceptions are Iuno and Lucilla, which WuWa Wiki places one tier lower (S) for Tower of Adversity. WuWa Wiki does, however, list Lucilla among its four SS picks for Whimpering Wastes, alongside Chisa, Hiyuki and Sigrika, so she is still a top-end account investment if you play both modes.

A few patterns stand out in the top tier:

  • Shorekeeper is still T0 support. She is a Version 1.x character and remains a near-universal healer and buffer, which is why she keeps appearing in new team guides.
  • Lynae holds T0 as a hybrid. She is a Version 3.0 character, and her off-field contribution keeps her relevant across several team cores. She is also back on a rerun banner in Phase II.
  • No Electro Resonator sits anywhere in T0. That gap is exactly why Hsin's arrival matters, and why Electro players have been waiting on Phase I.

Where does Hsin rank in the Version 3.7 tier list?

T0.5 on Prydwen, with a "Watchlist (Up)" flag; SS on WuWa Wiki. That split is the most important disagreement on the page right now.

Hsin is a 5-star Electro Rectifier and the first playable Sentinel in Wuthering Waves. Her live kit swaps between Answering Form and Illumining Form, has two Resonance Liberations (Formshift and Pillars Across Heaven), and lets you choose between two team directions, Resonance Mode: Unison and Resonance Mode: Electro Flare. Wutheringlab's build page sums up the core of her damage loop: "Casting Resonance Liberation – Formshift puts Hsin into Illumining Form and allows her to perform up to 21 Coordinated Attacks."

That dual-mode design explains the cautious T0.5. Prydwen launched her one tier below the top and flagged her to move up as teams are optimised; a public summary of Prydwen's early-October revision recorded Hsin as "a T0.5 DPS in Toa and T1 in Whiwa, placed on the Watchlist [Up] for both." WuWa Wiki, ranking her two weeks later, put her straight into SS. Read together, the honest call is that Hsin is already a top-end DPS whose ceiling depends on which Resonance Mode team you build.

For her Electro Flare setup, the natural partner is Rover (Electro), who Prydwen ranks T1 with a "Partner (Hsin)" tag at Sequence 2, and Buling (T1.5 support at Sequence 6) carries the same Flare tag. If you pull Hsin for Electro Flare, those two are the cheapest way to build around her; her Unison mode leans on a different partner, and Suoming is the Phase II Resonator to watch there.

What are the T0.5 and T1 Resonators?

These are the characters one step below the top. Every one of them can clear current Tower of Adversity with the right team; they simply ask a little more of your roster.

TierMain DPSHybrid / Sub-DPSSupport
T0.5Aemeath, Hsin (new), Luuk Herssen, SigrikaLupa, Qiuyuan, RebeccaVerina
T1Augusta, Cartethyia, Galbrena, Lucy, PhrolovaCiaccona, Mortefi (S6), Rover (Electro, S2)none

Notes from the cross-check:

  • Aemeath dropped from T0 to T0.5 in Prydwen's 3.7 revision, but WuWa Wiki still lists her in SS. She remains one of the strongest Fusion damage dealers either way.
  • Verina is the standout budget support. She is a launch-era character still sitting at T0.5, and a staple healer for newer players.
  • Cartethyia and Phrolova are T1 on Prydwen but S on WuWa Wiki, so both lists treat them as solid, not top, picks for this phase.
  • Mortefi reaches T1 only at Sequence 6, which is realistic because he is a 4-star.

Which Resonators are T1.5 to T4?

Lower tiers are not "bad." They are characters whose kits have been outpaced by newer releases, or 4-stars that need full Sequences to keep up. Here is the rest of Prydwen's Version 3.7 list.

TierMain DPSHybrid / Sub-DPSSupport
T1.5CarlottanoneBuling (S6), Rover (Aero, S6)
T2Brant, Jiyan, ZaniCantarella, Changli, Phoebe, Sanhua (S6)Rover (Spectro, S6)
T3Camellya, Encore, Jinhsi, Lingyang, Xiangli YaoDanjin (S6), Roccia, Yinlin, ZhezhiBaizhi (S6)
T4Calcharo, Chixia (S6), Rover (Havoc, S6)Aalto (S6), Jianxin, Lumi (S6), Taoqi (S6), Yangyang (S6)Youhu (S6), Yuanwu (S6)

Two things are worth knowing before you write anyone off. First, Zani and Phoebe both carry partner tags for each other, so they climb noticeably when played together. Second, early 5-stars such as Jinhsi, Jiyan and Changli have slipped as each version adds newer kits above them, which says more about the competition than about their own kits. If you already own and have built them, they still clear content.

What changes when Suoming arrives in Phase II?

Version 3.7 Phase II starts on 22 October 2026. It brings Suoming, a new 5-star Electro sword user, together with reruns of Lucilla and Lynae. The Phase I banners for Hsin, Chisa and Iuno run until Phase II opens on 22 October.

Neither main list ranks Suoming yet. WuWa Wiki shows her as "rated after release," and Prydwen does not list her. One pre-release ranking from a top-up seller put her in its second tier (S+) in September, but that was published before anyone had played her, so do not treat it as a placement.

What we can say before release:

  • She is a second Electro 5-star in one version. If her kit pairs with Hsin, Electro gets its first full premium team, which would raise Rover (Electro) and Buling along with her.
  • The reruns are the safer pulls this phase. Lucilla is T0 hybrid on Prydwen and SS for Whimpering Wastes on WuWa Wiki; Lynae is T0 on both lists. Both are proven.
  • We will re-rank at Phase II. This page is updated in place once Suoming has live data from both sources, so check back after 22 October rather than pulling on day one.

Version 3.7 runs until 11 November 2026, which puts Version 3.8 around mid-November on Kuro Games' usual cadence. Treat the 3.8 date as a projection until Kuro Games announces it.

Who should you pull for in Version 3.7?

Here is a practical priority list for the remaining days of Phase I and the start of Phase II.

  • You have no T0 support: pull Chisa (Phase I rerun, leaves when Phase II opens on 22 October). Supports fit every team you will build later, which makes them the highest-value pull for most accounts.
  • You want an Electro carry: pull Hsin. She already sits one tier from the top with an upward flag, and one list has her at the top tier.
  • You are still building your first premium team: wait for Lucilla or Lynae in Phase II. Both are T0 on Prydwen and do not depend on new-character hype.
  • You are curious about Suoming: save, watch the first week of live testing, and decide after we re-rank.

Whatever you pull, the best free Astrite on the table right now is still the single standing code on our Wuthering Waves codes page, which we re-check against independent trackers. New code batches usually arrive with a version preview livestream, so the next one is expected ahead of Version 3.8.

How does Whimpering Wastes change the rankings?

Whimpering Wastes uses different stages and buffs, so a handful of placements move. WuWa Wiki's SS tier for Whimpering Wastes is just four characters: Chisa, Hiyuki, Lucilla and Sigrika. Prydwen's early-October revision had Hsin at T1 there, one tier below her Tower of Adversity placement.

The takeaway is simple. Chisa and Hiyuki are top tier in both modes, which makes them the safest long-term investments on the current roster. Sigrika climbs from T0.5 in Tower of Adversity to the top tier in Whimpering Wastes, so she is a stronger pull than her Tower of Adversity tier suggests if you play both.

FAQ

Who is the best character in Wuthering Waves right now? As of Version 3.7 Phase I (18 October 2026), Prydwen ranks twelve Resonators at T0 for Tower of Adversity. The four T0 main DPS are Hiyuki, Jingran, Qingxiao and Yangyang: Xuanling, and Chisa and Hiyuki are top tier in both Tower of Adversity and Whimpering Wastes on WuWa Wiki.

Is Hsin worth pulling? Yes, if you want an Electro carry. Prydwen ranks her T0.5 with an upward watch flag and WuWa Wiki places her in its top tier. In her Electro Flare setup she pairs best with Rover (Electro), and her Phase I banner leaves when Phase II opens on 22 October 2026.

Where does Suoming rank on the tier list? Not yet. Suoming arrives with Version 3.7 Phase II on 22 October 2026, and neither Prydwen nor WuWa Wiki ranks her before live testing. This page will add her once both lists do.

Is Shorekeeper still good in Version 3.7? Yes. Shorekeeper is still T0 support on Prydwen and SS on WuWa Wiki, more than a year after release, because her healing and buffs fit almost every team.

What does T0 mean on a Wuthering Waves tier list? T0 is the strongest tier for the current version, followed by T0.5, T1, T1.5 and down to T4. Rankings assume Sequence 0 unless a sequence is noted, so 4-stars are rated at Sequence 6.

How often is this tier list updated? At every phase change and every new Resonator release. The next refresh is planned for Version 3.7 Phase II on 22 October 2026, once Suoming has live rankings.
