Heritage Armor Unlock

Heritage Armor - Race Transmog Set Unlock

  • Account-Wide Mog
  • Any Class, Any Armor

Heritage armor is a race-locked transmog set in retail WoW, and the only gate the game still checks is level 50 on a character of that race plus a short race-only questline. There is no raid boss, no drop roll and no rare spawn in it. The set has no armor type, so cloth, leather, mail and plate wearers of that race can all mog it, and it carries no stats at all - it is cosmetic. Once earned it is stored account-wide, but it stays locked to the race that earned it, so a Vulpera set never shows up on a blood elf.

What changed, and what did not: core races used to need Exalted with their own racial faction before the chain would open. Patch 10.1.0 removed that, so core and allied races now share one requirement - level 50 and the questline. A hotfix on July 24, 2024 also dropped the rule that a Character Boost, Race Change or Faction Change disqualified an allied-race character. Real sets include Lion's Heritage for humans, Heritage of the Sin'dorei for blood elves, Heritage of Highmountain, Heritage of the Vulpera, Heritage of the Dark Iron and Heritage of the Wandering Isle, the pandaren set added in patch 11.2.7. More than 20 sets are in the game and the dracthyr is the only playable race still without one.

How long it really takes: the chain itself is short. The human one, An Urgent Matter through to the Lionguard title, is 16 quests and runs roughly 30 to 60 minutes. The time sink is the character underneath it - an alt of the race you want has to reach 50 first, well short of the Midnight cap of 90, and that is the part most players never finish. The whole thing is deterministic: no RNG, no lockout, no weekly reset.

  • Level 50 reached on a character of your race, the one gate the heritage chain still checks.
  • The race questline finished and the heritage set added to your collection, account-wide for every character of that race.
  • Any title the chain hands out, like Lionguard on the human set, stays on your character.
  • Transmog only - no stats and no armor type, so any class of that race can wear it.
  • Every quest reward and drop earned along the way stays on your account.
  • US and EU realms priced identically, US selected first.

Two scopes: $13.49 buys the heritage questline on its own when your character of that race is already 50 or higher. $35.09 buys the whole job - the character leveled up to the 50 gate and then the heritage chain, which is the option to take when the race you want is still an empty character slot or a low alt.

Delivery: a real booster plays it manually on PC at timesaver.gg, never a bot and never a script. Piloted is the default and costs nothing extra; Self-play Remote adds 30%, Express adds 20% and Super Express adds 40%. US scheduling and support run on ET or PT.

Frequently asked questions

  • Heritage armor is a race-specific transmog set in retail WoW, one per playable race, awarded for finishing that race's own heritage questline. The sets carry no stats and have no armor type, so a cloth, leather, mail or plate wearer of that race can all transmog them. More than 20 sets exist, including Lion's Heritage for humans and Heritage of the Sin'dorei for blood elves, and the dracthyr is the only playable race that still does not have one.

  • You unlock heritage armor by getting a character of that race to level 50 and then finishing the short race-only questline that opens at 50. For core races the quest is picked up at your faction's embassy or capital - blood elves start The Pride of the Sin'dorei at the Orgrimmar Embassy, humans start An Urgent Matter near the Stormwind Embassy. Allied races get their set when the level 50 quest sends them to their leader, with the vulpera the odd one out, collecting theirs from Hagashi at the Vulpera Hideaway.

  • No. Core races such as human, dwarf, blood elf and tauren used to need Exalted with their racial faction before the heritage chain would open, but patch 10.1.0 removed that requirement. Allied races never had a reputation gate on their heritage armor. Today every race in WoW needs the same two things: a character of that race at level 50, and the race questline finished on it.

  • Yes, with one catch. Once a heritage armor set is earned it is saved account-wide in your transmog collection, so any character of that race on any realm on the account can wear it. It does not cross races, though - Heritage of Highmountain only appears on Highmountain tauren, Heritage of the Dark Iron only on Dark Iron dwarves. That is why the set has to be earned on a character of that specific race in the first place.

  • The questline itself is short. The human chain runs 16 quests from An Urgent Matter to the Lionguard title and takes roughly 30 to 60 minutes, and most other races land in the same window. The real cost is getting a character of that race to level 50 in the first place, which is many hours on a fresh alt - that is why this page sells the questline and the leveling as two separate scopes.

  • Yes. Using a Character Boost, Race Change or Faction Change used to permanently disqualify an allied-race character from its heritage armor, but a hotfix on July 24, 2024 removed that restriction. A boosted or race-changed character at level 50 can now run the heritage chain like any other. Core races were never blocked by that rule to begin with.

  • No on both counts. Every heritage armor set in WoW is a cosmetic transmog appearance with no stats, no item level and no armor type, which is what makes it unusually flexible: a mail set like Heritage of the Vulpera can be worn by a vulpera mage, rogue or warrior alike. It is a mog reward for the race, not a gear upgrade, so it never competes with your raid or Mythic+ pieces.

  • Yes. Heritage armor unlocks run on US realms, and US is the region this page opens on. The questline-only scope is $13.49 and the full job with leveling to 50 is $35.09, in USD, with the EU ladder priced identically. Scheduling and support are handled in ET or PT during US business hours, and EU players switch region in the configurator before checkout to reach the matching EU option.
