Kosumoth the Hungering is a Legion secret boss that no dungeon journal lists. He walks the outdoor Eye of Azshara island at the southern tip of the Broken Isles and respawns every 5 to 10 minutes, but killing him rewards nothing until the character is attuned. Attunement means talking to the broken warlock Drak'thul on the Broken Shore, digging the Weathered Relic out of Feldust Cavern, then clicking 10 Hungering Orbs in one fixed order.
Where the orbs sit: three in Azsuna, one in a Stormheim cliff cave guarded by a banshee, one in southern Val'sharah, one in an underwater fatigue-zone cave on the Broken Shore, one in a flooded cave north of Shield's Rest, one inside a Highmountain skull, one deep in a shipwreck off the Eye of Azshara coast, and the tenth on Drak'thul's own table. Order matters, and an orb another player just clicked takes about 50 minutes to come back - that is where lost time actually goes. The tenth orb grants Void Attunement and the world quest DANGER: Kosumoth the Hungering.
What is guaranteed and what is not. The orb chain and the kill are deterministic: nothing rolls, and a booster who clicks all 10 orbs in sequence always ends up attuned. The reward is not a drop roll either - the world quest runs on a two-week rotation and offers an entire region either the Hungering Claw battle pet or the Fathom Dweller mount. The pet is the common reward; collectors tracking the rotation report the mount surfacing roughly once every 6 to 12 months per region. Blizzard has never published a drop percentage here because there is no percentage - only which reward is live.
Realistic total: about 3 to 5 hours. The 4-hour block covers a clean run and the 6-hour block absorbs orb respawn waits or a bad shipwreck dive. If a chain runs long, the extra is booked as repeat blocks at the same hourly rate: 2 hours for $26.99, 4 for $53.99, 6 for $80.99, or 10 for $134.99. No raid lockout gates any of it, so blocks can run back to back.
Delivery: every zone in the chain is open-world Legion content a modern max-level character walks through alone, so no group is needed and no dungeon has to be run. Both Fathom Dweller and Hungering Claw land in your account-wide collections once learned. US is the default region and EU has its own independent ladder. Piloted play is standard, Self-play Remote adds 30%, Express adds 20%, and Super Express adds 40%. Manual PC play only on timesaver.gg, scheduled in ET or PT for US players.
