Battle pet leveling 1-25 is cheap if you already own max-level pets and slow if you do not. That is the whole problem, and it is why this page exists. One pet is $4.94, and packs run to $123.74 for 25.
The level cap is 25 and it has not changed. New abilities unlock at levels 1, 2, 4, 10, 15 and 20, and a pet brings three of its six abilities into a fight.
The carry mechanic is official, not a trick. Blizzard's own rule: pets at max level cannot gain XP but still earn it, and any XP a max-level pet earns is divided among the participating pets that are not yet maxed. Two level-25 pets plus one leveller is the fastest legal route in the game. A battle of only max-level pets awards nothing, and a loss awards nothing.
Tamer fights dwarf wild pets. One Warlords or Pandaria NPC tamer during the Pet Battle Bonus Event is 10,875 XP - level 1 to 17 in a single fight. The same event's max-level wild pet fight is 2,175 XP, level 1 to 8. But tamer fights require you to bring a lower-level pet alongside two 25s, so a brand-new collector with no 25s cannot run the fast route at all.
What we can also stack:
- Ultimate Battle-Training Stone - instantly trains a pet 25 levels, sold by most pet battle trainers for 35 Polished Pet Charm;
- Fel-Touched Battle-Training Stone for 10,000 XP and Flawless Battle-Training Stone for 2,000;
- Pet Treat at +50% pet XP, Lesser Pet Treat at +25% and the Safari Hat toy at +10%, all stacking;
- Sign of the Critter, the Pet Battle Bonus Event buff, at +100% pet XP.
Quality and breed: rare quality scales a pet's stats, which is what tamer and PvP teams care about, and a Flawless Battle-Stone upgrades any pet to rare. Level and quality can both be fixed after the fact. Breed cannot be changed at all, and for max-level play the ideal breed matters more than either.
How it is delivered: piloted by default because the carry team is the service, self-play on our route, or Self-play Remote for 30% more. Pets are account-wide, so the value lands on every character. Manual play, no bots, PC only.
