Shadowmourne Farm

Shadowmourne Farm - ICC 25 Heroic Shard Cycles

  • ICC 25H Shard Cycles
  • Legacy Solo Content

Shadowmourne is the Wrath of the Lich King legendary two-handed axe, and it is legacy content a level-cap character clears solo today. The chain opens with Highlord Darion Mograine just inside Icecrown Citadel once you are Friendly with The Ashen Verdict, and only Death Knights, Paladins and Warriors can carry it.

The real numbers: the first quest, The Sacred and the Corrupt, wants 25 Primordial Saronite, Light's Vengeance from Frostmourne Cavern in Dragonblight, and the Acidic Blood from Festergut and Rotface. A Feast of Souls then wants 1,000 killing blows while Shadow's Edge is equipped. Three infusion steps follow, tied to Professor Putricide, Blood-Queen Lana'thel and Sindragosa. The Splintered Throne closes it out with 50 Shadowfrost Shards from Icecrown Citadel 25 Heroic bosses.

Why it takes weeks: the shard counter is cumulative and never resets, so the axe is a certainty rather than a lottery, but shards do not fall from every boss. Community logs report roughly four to nine shards from a full 25 Heroic clear, and ICC sits on a weekly raid lockout, so 50 shards typically lands somewhere between five and eight resets. No service can compress that into a single week.

What one cycle buys: one completed ICC 25 Heroic clear on your character with every shard and quest item that clear yields. The ladder is $5.39 for 1 cycle, $26.95 for 5, $53.90 for 10 and $134.75 for 25. Because a full Shadowmourne chain runs far past ten lockouts, longer work is booked as repeat cycle blocks at the same per-cycle rate instead of a bigger single tier.

Delivery: every clear is played by hand on PC by a booster on timesaver.gg, with no bots and no exploits, and you get a shard count after each lockout. Piloted is the default, Self-play Remote adds 30%, Express adds 20% and Super Express adds 40%. US is preselected, EU runs on its own matching ladder, and scheduling is handled in ET or PT.

Frequently asked questions

  • Shadowmourne comes from a quest chain given by Highlord Darion Mograine inside Icecrown Citadel, not from a boss drop. You need Friendly with The Ashen Verdict, then Shadow's Edge, 1,000 souls, three infusions from Professor Putricide, Blood-Queen Lana'thel and Sindragosa, and finally 50 Shadowfrost Shards from ICC 25 Heroic before Mograine hands over the axe.

  • Shadowmourne needs 50 Shadowfrost Shards for the quest The Splintered Throne. In modern retail those shards come off Icecrown Citadel 25 Heroic bosses, and the count is cumulative, so a lockout with a poor shard haul is never wasted progress toward the 50 you owe Highlord Darion Mograine.

  • The Shadowmourne chain is gated by the weekly Icecrown Citadel raid lockout, so one character gets one 25 Heroic clear per reset. Community logs put a full clear at roughly four to nine Shadowfrost Shards, which puts 50 shards at about five to eight weeks. Sources disagree on the exact per-boss rate, so treat five to eight lockouts as a range, not a promise.

  • Yes. Shadowmourne was never removed, and the entire Icecrown Citadel chain is legacy content a level-cap character can clear alone on 25 Heroic difficulty. The only real gate left is the weekly lockout on the 50 Shadowfrost Shards, not raid difficulty or a group requirement.

  • The Shadowmourne farm costs $5.39 for 1 ICC 25 Heroic cycle, $26.95 for 5, $53.90 for 10, or $134.75 for 25, on US and EU realms alike, before the optional 20%, 30% or 40% service upgrades. Because 50 shards spans many lockouts, chains longer than the top tier are booked as repeat cycle blocks at the same per-cycle rate.

  • Yes. Shadowmourne cycles run on US realms, and US is the region selected by default on this page. Scheduling and support are handled in ET or PT during US business hours, and pricing is quoted in USD. EU players pick the separate EU ladder, which carries identical prices, before checkout.

  • Shadowmourne is a strength two-handed axe, so only Death Knights, Paladins and Warriors can complete the chain and wield it. If you want it for transmog, the axe has to be earned on one of those 3 classes; the 50 Shadowfrost Shards cannot be farmed on a character that is not eligible for the questline.
