Time-Lost Proto-Drake Mount

Time-Lost Proto-Drake Farm - Storm Peaks Until-Drop Camp

  • Storm Peaks Camp
  • 100% Mount Drop
  • Until It Drops

Time-Lost Proto-Drake is a legacy Wrath of the Lich King rare that patrols the Storm Peaks in Northrend, and it drops Reins of the Time-Lost Proto-Drake at a 100% rate when it dies. Nothing about the loot is hard. The kill is trivial at the level 90 cap. The entire difficulty is the camp, which is why timesaver.gg prices this as one flat $197.99 until-drop contract rather than an hourly block.

Why the camp is the whole job. The drake uses four known spawn points in the Storm Peaks - the Frozen Lake at 31, 69, Brunn Village at 51, 71, the waterfall at 35, 76 and the Ulduar ravine at 52, 35 - and then flies a long patrol route between them. It shares those spawn points, that flight path and its spawn timer with Vyragosa, a blue drake that carries no mount and rolls the window far more often. Every time Vyragosa takes the spawn, the drake does not, and the clock restarts.

There is no fixed timer, and we will not invent one. Community trackers report the shared window as roughly 2 to 8 hours measured from the moment the previous corpse despawns, and long-running campers regularly log gaps well past that range. Corpses linger for about 30 minutes before the timer even starts. Anyone quoting you a single exact respawn number is guessing.

What is included:

  • Continuous camping of the Time-Lost Proto-Drake spawn cycle in the Storm Peaks until the reins are looted on your character;
  • Vyragosa killed on sight so the shared timer keeps rolling instead of stalling behind a live spawn;
  • Progress toward the Frostbitten achievement picked up along the way from the Vyragosa kills;
  • All gold, gear and quest rewards generated during the camp;
  • Piloted by default; Self-play Remote adds 30%, Express adds 20% and Super Express adds 40%.

How long it takes. No honest ETA exists for a shared-window rare with no published timer. What is fixed is the price: one payment covers the camp from the day it starts to the moment the mount is learned, however many Vyragosa spawns land in between. US is the default region with an independent matching EU ladder, and scheduling runs on ET or PT.

Frequently asked questions

  • The Time-Lost Proto-Drake spawns in the Storm Peaks in Northrend and uses four known points: the Frozen Lake at 31, 69, Brunn Village at 51, 71, the waterfall at 35, 76 and the Ulduar ravine at 52, 35. It does not sit still once up, it flies a long patrol route between those points, which is why a single camper flying laps misses spawns a rotating team catches.

  • Reins of the Time-Lost Proto-Drake drop at a 100% rate. There is no loot roll to lose and no bad-luck streak on the item itself: if the Time-Lost Proto-Drake dies and you tagged it, you get the mount. That is exactly why this SKU is priced as a camp and not as an attempt ladder. The scarce resource is the spawn, not the drop.

  • There is no fixed timer. Community trackers put the shared Time-Lost Proto-Drake and Vyragosa window at roughly 2 to 8 hours from the previous corpse despawning, and campers regularly report far longer gaps than that. Corpses stay up around 30 minutes before the timer even begins. Treat any single exact respawn figure you see quoted as a guess.

  • Vyragosa shares the Time-Lost Proto-Drake's four spawn points, flight route and spawn timer in the Storm Peaks, and she wins that window far more often than the drake does. She drops no mount, but leaving her alive stalls the shared cycle, so we kill her on sight to restart the clock. Her kill also counts toward the Frostbitten achievement at no extra charge.

  • Yes. US is the default region on this page and the Time-Lost Proto-Drake camp runs on US realms with its own matching $197.99 ladder; EU players switch the region toggle to reach the separate EU ladder. Scheduling, order updates and support are handled in ET or PT during US hours, and the price is billed in USD.

  • Yes. It is legacy Wrath of the Lich King content and the Time-Lost Proto-Drake dies in seconds at the level 90 cap. Its enrage, Wild Wrath at 5 minutes into combat, plus a Fatal Bite for 50% of max health, never comes into play at modern gear levels. The catch is the tag rule: it cannot be looted in a raid group, so the camp is run in a party of 5 or fewer.

  • It means one flat $197.99 payment covers the camp from the day it starts until Reins of the Time-Lost Proto-Drake are looted on your character. There is no hourly meter, no day cap and no surcharge if the shared Vyragosa window keeps eating the spawn. The mount landing in your journal is the only thing that closes the order.

  • Yes. The Time-Lost Proto-Drake was never removed from World of Warcraft, and the rare still patrols the Storm Peaks on live retail realms today at the level 90 cap. Because it is old-world content with no lockout and no gating quest, any character that can reach Northrend is eligible for the camp the day the order starts.
