Blacksmithing Specialization

TBC Weaponsmith Specialization - WoW TBC Anniversary

  • 200 Skill / Level 40
  • Axe, Sword, Hammer
  • Dungeon Boss Item

Blacksmithing splits twice in TBC Anniversary, and this page runs the quests. The first split is Armorsmith or Weaponsmith at 200 Blacksmithing skill and character level 40. The second is Weaponsmith only, at 250 skill and level 50, into Axesmith, Swordsmith or Hammersmith. From $18.34.

This is not the leveling page. Our Blacksmithing Leveling service takes the skill bar from 1 to 375. This one assumes you already have the skill and buys the branch quests instead, so the two never overlap.

All three sub-spec trainers share one building in Everlook, Winterspring, and every one of their quests is a dungeon run in disguise:

  • Axesmith — Kilram, Snakestone of the Shadow Huntress: kill Shadow Hunter Vosh'gajin in Lower Blackrock Spire for Vosh'gajin's Snakestone;
  • Swordsmith — Seril Scourgebane, Corruption: kill the Black Guard Swordsmith in undead Stratholme for the Insignia of the Black Guard;
  • Hammersmith — Lilith the Lithe, Sweet Serenity: kill the Crimson Hammersmith in living Stratholme for the Crimson Hammersmith's Apron.

The first split is a crafting bill, not a dungeon. The Way of the Weaponsmith wants 12 finished weapons handed in, and The Art of the Armorsmith wants 4 Ornate Mithril Helms, 2 Ornate Mithril Boots and 1 Ornate Mithril Breastplate. Mats are on us.

Swapping is allowed: unlearn at your current specialization trainer for 100 gold at level 70, then run the new quest. Pick the swap option above for 25% more.

Delivery is 24-48 hours on Standard, faster on Express. Piloted by default, Self-play Remote for 30% more, manual play only. US realms open by default; EU sits on the region switch.

Frequently asked questions

  • The Way of the Weaponsmith needs 200 Blacksmithing skill and character level 40. You take it from Ironus Coldsteel in Ironforge on Alliance or Borgosh Corebender in Orgrimmar on Horde, and turn in 12 crafted weapons: 4 Moonsteel Broadswords, 4 Massive Iron Axes, 2 Heavy Mithril Axes and 2 Big Black Maces.

  • All three TBC Weaponsmith sub-specializations need 250 Blacksmithing skill, character level 50 and the Weaponsmith specialization already learned. The trainers all sit in one building in Everlook, Winterspring: Kilram for Axesmith, Seril Scourgebane for Swordsmith and Lilith the Lithe for Hammersmith.

  • Each of the 3 TBC Weaponsmith sub-spec quests is a dungeon boss kill. Axesmith needs Vosh'gajin's Snakestone from Shadow Hunter Vosh'gajin in Lower Blackrock Spire. Swordsmith needs the Insignia of the Black Guard from the Black Guard Swordsmith in undead Stratholme. Hammersmith needs the Crimson Hammersmith's Apron from the Crimson Hammersmith in living Stratholme.

  • Blacksmithing Leveling moves the skill bar from 1 to 375 and costs $36.68 for the 300-375 band. This TBC Weaponsmith specialization page does not touch your skill bar at all - it runs the branch quests once you already sit at 200 or 250 skill, starting at $18.34. Buy leveling for the skill, buy this for the branch.

  • You unlearn at your current specialization trainer for 100 gold at level 70 in TBC Anniversary, and the fee scales down to 50 gold between levels 51 and 65. Sub-specializations have to be dropped before the parent Weaponsmith branch. Pick the swap option on this page for 25% more and the whole chain is handled.

  • Yes. US TBC Anniversary realms are the default region on this page, PvE and PvP alike, and USD is the quoted currency. Stratholme and Lower Blackrock Spire runs are scheduled around your own play window in ET or PT, and a standard order closes in 24-48 hours with US-hours support the whole way.

  • No. Every specialization-locked Blacksmithing item in TBC is Bind on Pickup, so only a Swordsmith can use Swordsmith weapons and only an Armorsmith can wear Armorsmith plate. That is why the 200-skill branch quest and the 250-skill sub-spec quest both have to be completed on your own character.

  • A standard TBC Weaponsmith specialization order finishes in 24-48 hours. The Everlook sub-spec quest itself is one dungeon boss kill, so the clock is mostly queueing your character and the trip to Winterspring. Express moves you to the front for 20% more and Super Express starts immediately for 40% more.
