The Fiery Warhorse's Reins drop from Attumen the Huntsman, the first boss of Karazhan on 10-man. Karazhan sits on a weekly raid lockout, so it is one attempt every seven days on a character. From $539.99.
We do not quote an official drop rate, and you should distrust any page that does. Blizzard has never published one. The figure you see repeated near 1% is community-aggregated kill data, not a number from the developer. That is exactly why this is sold as a run-until-it-lands farm and not as a single Karazhan clear.
There is no guaranteed run count. If the community estimate near 1% per kill holds, the median farm lands around 69 weekly lockouts — half finish sooner, plenty run past two years, and a lucky few end on the first Attumen kill. That long tail is the entire reason the mount is famous.
Why this is cheap for an RNG farm: the attempt is Attumen only. He is the very first encounter in the instance, so the weekly run is a few minutes, not a full clear — the per-lockout delivery cost is a fraction of a Kael'thas or Illidan attempt.
It is a 100% ground mount, a flaming skeletal horse, so Journeyman Riding (150) is all it needs and every level 70 already has it. No riding add-on, and since Phase 3 removed the Master's Key on 27 August 2026, no Karazhan attunement either.
How it is delivered: piloted by default, self-play if you want to be in the raid for every attempt, or Self-play Remote for 30% more. Manual play, no bots. US realms are the default; EU is on the region switch above.
