Prince Malchezaar is an eredar prince of the Burning Legion and the final boss of Karazhan, fought out in the Netherspace above the tower once the Chess Event is done. He has 1,138,200 health in the 10-man version and no hard enrage - what ends the pull is the room running out of floor.
Three phases, split by his health:
- Phase one, 100% to 60% - Summon Infernal every 45 seconds, Shadow Word: Pain on the tank, and Enfeeble, which drops 5 random raid members to a single hit point for 7 seconds. Shadow Nova lands about 4 seconds later: a 3-second cast, 25-yard shadow hit with a knockback, so anyone enfeebled has to already be running.
- Phase two, 60% to 30% - Enfeeble and the Infernals continue, Shadow Word: Pain stops, and the Prince gains Sunder Armor, Thrash and Parry. A parry speeds his next swing by 40%, and a Thrash inside that window is what actually flattens tanks. This is the phase that ends pug attempts.
- Phase three, 30% to 0% - Enfeeble is gone, but the Infernal cooldown falls from 45 seconds to 15, Shadow Nova can fire at any moment instead of following Enfeeble, and he adds Flying Axes plus Amplify Damage, which doubles a player's damage taken and cannot be removed.
The Infernal rain is the encounter. Each Netherspite Infernal cannot be targeted, spams Hellfire where it lands and sticks around for 3 minutes, so the safe ground shrinks all fight. About two minutes into phase three there is nowhere left to stand.
What he drops: the Tier 4 helm token - Helm of the Fallen Champion, Defender or Hero - plus the weapons he collected: Gorehowl, Light's Justice, the Sunfury Bow of the Phoenix, Malchazeen, Nathrezim Mindblade and The Decapitator. Across 2,564 logged 10-man kills the community trackers put Gorehowl, Light's Justice and the Sunfury Bow at roughly 15-18% each, so a weapon is a chance on any one lockout and we never sell it as a promise.
No ring drops off the Prince. The Karazhan ring players are thinking of is the Violet Signet, given by Archmage Leryda for The Violet Eye reputation and upgraded at each standing.
The booking: Malchezaar is the last boss, so getting to him means clearing the tower - that is why the entry rung is the same $68.39 as a live full clear rather than a cheap single-boss price. $136.79 adds first pick on his table. Karazhan is walk-in since the attunements came off on 27 August 2026, and the lockout is 7 days, so chasing a specific weapon is booked as repeat weekly runs at the same rate. Nightbane, the dragon summoned on the Master's Terrace, is a separate optional boss and is not part of this order - timesaver.gg lists that one on its own page.
