The Sha'tar Reputation

The Sha'tar Reputation - A'dal's Naaru Faction in Shattrath City

  • Neutral to Exalted
  • Tempest Keep Wings
  • Glyph of Power

The Sha'tar are the naaru of Shattrath City - A'dal's coalition of draenei, Broken and defecting blood elves - and they are the one Outland faction that sits outside the Aldor and Scryer split entirely. Their quartermaster Almaador stands in the Terrace of Light at 51.0, 41.7. Neutral to Exalted here is $62.99; Honored on its own is $9.89.

Where the rep actually comes from. Almost all of it is Tempest Keep's three 5-man wings - The Mechanar, The Botanica and The Arcatraz. All three pay Sha'tar rep to Exalted on normal difficulty as well as heroic, so there is no standing where the dungeon stops counting. Reported full clears run roughly 1,600 rep normal and 2,100 heroic in the Mechanar, 2,200 and 3,200 in the Botanica, and 1,800 and 2,500 in the Arcatraz. On top of that sits about 10,000 rep of one-time quests in Terokkar Forest, Shattrath City and Shadowmoon Valley, with the Arcatraz key line paying 1,000 rep a step.

How long it really takes. The bar is 42,000 rep end to end: 3,000 to Friendly, 6,000 to Honored, 12,000 to Revered and 21,000 to Exalted. Bank the quest rep and roughly 32,000 is left for dungeons - about 15 normal Botanica clears, or far fewer on heroic, except each heroic wing sits on a daily lockout that caps you at three heroic Tempest Keep clears a day. Honored lands inside a day, Revered in about three, Exalted in roughly a week.

What each standing unlocks at Almaador:

  • Honored - Glyph of Arcane Warding, 20 arcane resistance on your head slot, 100 gold, and Pattern: Drums of Battle at 12 gold, one of the most-used leatherworking patterns in the game;
  • Revered - Glyph of Power at 100 gold, 22 spell damage and healing plus 14 spell hit rating, the best caster head enchant of the expansion; the Warpforged Key for heroic Mechanar, Botanica and Arcatraz; plus Recipe: Alchemist's Stone and Transmute Primal Air to Fire;
  • Exalted - the Sha'tar Tabard for 1 gold, Recipe: Flask of the Titans at 4 gold, the ring A'dal's Command at 21 gold, the tank shield Crest of the Sha'tar at 123 gold and the healer mace Gavel of Pure Light at 185 gold.

This is not the Aldor or Scryer grind. The Sha'tar stay neutral in that argument and stack alongside whichever side you already picked, so nothing here forces or risks a choice. Both sides even feed this bar - 125 rep per signet or mark turn-in and 175 rep for Fel Armament and Arcane Tome - though those stop granting Sha'tar rep at the top of Friendly and will not push you into Honored. Changing sides in Shattrath is the separate Aldor / Scryer switch service, and it leaves this bar untouched.

Delivery: piloted by default, self-play in the group provided, or Self-play Remote for 30% more. Manual play only, and every signet, gem and green looted on the way stays with you. The region switch above opens on US with EU on the same ladder. Booked through timesaver.gg.

Frequently asked questions

  • The Sha'tar are the naaru faction in Shattrath City, and their reputation comes almost entirely from Tempest Keep's three 5-man wings: The Mechanar, The Botanica and The Arcatraz. Around 10,000 more rep comes from one-time quests in Terokkar Forest, Shattrath City, Shadowmoon Valley and, for Horde, the Hero of the Mag'har chain in Nagrand. Neutral to Exalted is 42,000 rep in total - 3,000 to Friendly, 6,000 to Honored, 12,000 to Revered and 21,000 to Exalted.

  • Only the three Tempest Keep 5-mans: The Mechanar, The Botanica and The Arcatraz. Reported full clears run about 1,600 Sha'tar rep on normal and 2,100 on heroic in the Mechanar, 2,200 and 3,200 in the Botanica, and 1,800 and 2,500 in the Arcatraz. Auchindoun, Coilfang and Hellfire Citadel wings give nothing to this bar. Unusually for TBC, all three keep paying Sha'tar rep to Exalted on normal difficulty, so a group without heroic access can still finish the grind.

  • Yes, for now. The Warpforged Key that opens heroic Mechanar, Botanica and Arcatraz is sold by Almaador in Shattrath City at Revered with The Sha'tar for 10 gold, which is why Revered at $26.99 is the standing most players stop at. The heroic key requirement is expected to drop to Honored when the Phase 4 content window opens on Anniversary realms, the same way it moved in earlier TBC Classic releases.

  • Partly, and only early. The Sha'tar are neutral to the Aldor and Scryers split, so both sides feed the same bar: signet and mark turn-ins pay 125 Sha'tar rep each, and Fel Armament or Arcane Tome turn-ins pay 175. The catch is that those turn-ins stop granting Sha'tar rep at the top of Friendly, at 5,999 of 6,000, and will not push you into Honored. Past that point it is Tempest Keep dungeons and quests only.

  • Glyph of Power is the head enchant Almaador sells at Revered with The Sha'tar for 100 gold. It adds 22 spell damage and healing plus 14 spell hit rating to a head slot item, and it stays the best caster and healer head enchant for the rest of the expansion - no enchanter can craft an alternative. Tanks take Glyph of Arcane Warding instead, 20 arcane resistance, which unlocks one standing earlier at Honored for the same 100 gold.

  • Almaador's Exalted list is the Sha'tar Tabard for 1 gold, Recipe: Flask of the Titans for 4 gold, Formula: Enchant Gloves - Threat for 10 gold, the ring A'dal's Command for 21 gold, the tank shield Crest of the Sha'tar for 123 gold and the healer mace Gavel of Pure Light for 185 gold. Exalted also drops vendor prices by 20 percent across the board with the faction, which pays for itself on the pricier reward items.

  • Honored, at $9.89, is normally done inside a day of Tempest Keep clears and Terokkar quests. Revered, at $26.99, adds 12,000 rep and usually lands in about three days. Exalted, at $62.99, is another 21,000 rep on top and realistically runs about a week, because heroic Mechanar, Botanica and Arcatraz each sit on a daily lockout, so anything past three heroic clears a day has to come from normal-mode runs at roughly 1,600 to 2,200 rep each.

  • Every US Burning Crusade Anniversary realm, PvE and PvP, Alliance and Horde, priced in USD with US support hours behind the order. Tempest Keep runs are scheduled around your own daily reset in ET or PT, and a piloted order can be paused any time you want to log in yourself. Playing on an EU realm instead? Flip the region switch above and the EU ladder loads with the same $9.89 to $62.99 pricing.
