Battlefield 6 Challenges Reset: Daily and Weekly Times, Rerolls and Deep Six Deadlines

Almost everyone gets the Battlefield 6 reset wrong on the first guess, because they guess with their own clock. You assume dailies flip at midnight where you live, leave two half done on a Monday night, and log in to a fresh board with the progress gone. Meanwhile the weeklies did not move, because they do not run on the daily schedule at all.

Battlefield 6 runs challenges on two separate UTC clocks, hands out a different number of rerolls depending on what you own, and layers a limited-time event on top with a hard calendar deadline. This guide covers the game as of Game Update 1.4.3.0, which deployed on Tuesday September 15, 2026 alongside Season 4: Tidal Strike.

Quick answer: Battlefield 6 Daily Challenges reset at 04:00 UTC every day, and Weekly Challenges reset at 12:00 UTC every Tuesday. Every player gets one daily reroll and three weekly rerolls. Owning Battlefield 6 adds one to each pool and Battlefield Pro adds one more, which caps you at up to 3 rolls per day and up to 5 rerolls per week. Assignments are a separate system that never resets: Class Assignments unlock at Career Rank 10 and Weapon Assignments at Career Rank 13, and those are what actually gate launch weapons and class gadgets. The Deep Six Collection Event is the only part of this with an expiry date, running September 15 through October 12, 2026.

When do Battlefield 6 daily and weekly challenges reset?

EA's own Feature Spotlight on challenge rerolling gives both times directly: "Dailies reset at 04:00 UTC" and "Weeklies reset at 12:00 UTC every Tuesday."

Two different clocks, eight hours apart, which is why Tuesday feels strange: dailies flip in the small hours, then weeklies flip again in the afternoon.

Converted into the time zones most of the playerbase actually sits in, for the current September dates:

  • Daily reset, 04:00 UTC — 12:00 AM US Eastern, 9:00 PM US Pacific the previous evening, 5:00 AM UK, 6:00 AM Central Europe, 2:00 PM Sydney.
  • Weekly reset, 12:00 UTC Tuesday — 8:00 AM US Eastern, 5:00 AM US Pacific, 1:00 PM UK, 2:00 PM Central Europe, 10:00 PM Sydney.

The Pacific number catches people out. A West Coast player starting an evening session at 9:30 PM is already on tomorrow's daily board. Finish dailies before 9:00 PM local, not before midnight.

Partial progress does not carry over. If a daily asks for 30 Carbine kills and you are on 22 when 04:00 UTC hits, the next day's set starts from zero. Weeklies behave the same way at their own reset.

How many challenge rerolls do you get in Battlefield 6?

Rerolls exist because the challenge you are handed does not care what you like playing. EA's guidance: "If a challenge doesn't suit your playstyle, head to the challenges tab, select your challenge, and you'll see the option to reroll. As challenges vary from person to person, rerolls do not guarantee you'll receive a challenge you like."

The allowance is tiered by what you own, and the two tiers stack:

  • Daily Challenges. All players get one daily reroll. Battlefield 6 owners get an additional reroll. Battlefield Pro owners get an additional reroll on top. EA describes the ceiling as "up to 3 rolls per day."
  • Weekly Challenges. All players get three weekly rerolls. Battlefield 6 owners get one more, Battlefield Pro owners get one more again, for "up to 5 rerolls per week on Weekly Challenges."

Note the wording difference EA uses, because it matters for planning. The daily figure is quoted as rolls, meaning your original challenge plus the rerolls you spend. The weekly figure is quoted as rerolls, meaning five swaps across the week's board rather than five challenges total.

Rerolls do not roll over. An unspent daily reroll is gone at 04:00 UTC, and unspent weekly rerolls are gone at Tuesday's 12:00 UTC flip. The habit worth building is to open the challenges tab at the start of a session rather than mid-match, and spend the swap before you have wasted twenty minutes chipping at something you were never going to finish.

Free Trial players should note the gap here. Until September 22, 2026 the Battlefield 6 Free Trial lets you play without owning the game, but the ownership-gated rerolls attach to owning Battlefield 6, not to having the client installed.

What are the different challenge types in Battlefield 6?

People use "challenges" as one word for six different systems, which is most of the confusion around what resets and what does not.

  • Daily Challenges. Rotating, reset 04:00 UTC, one reroll baseline.
  • Weekly Challenges. Rotating, reset 12:00 UTC Tuesday, three rerolls baseline.
  • Class Assignments. Permanent objective chains per class. They unlock at Career Rank 10 and never reset.
  • Weapon Assignments. Permanent objective chains per weapon category. They unlock at Career Rank 13 and never reset.
  • Seasonal Assignments. Season-scoped objective sets tied to the current season's content.
  • Seasonal Catch-Up Challenges. EA's mechanism for players who arrive late in a season.

Only the first two run on a daily clock. The Assignments are the ones that matter for your loadout, and because they never expire there is no urgency pressure on them, which is exactly why players ignore them and then wonder why half the weapon list is still locked.

EA overhauled this system before launch and said so explicitly on the official progression page: "Across all challenges, we listened to community feedback and changed our approach for more accessible ways to unlock Loadout Items, gain XP or XP Boosts, and earn Battle Pass points." That last clause matters: challenges pay Battle Pass points directly, on top of the 1:1 Battle Pass XP you earn alongside Career XP. Our Season 4 Battle Pass breakdown covers how those points convert into tiers and paths.

Which Battlefield 6 challenges actually unlock weapons and gadgets?

This is the part that turns a housekeeping system into a progression bottleneck. Twelve of the launch weapons are locked behind Weapon Challenge Assignments rather than behind a rank number, and every class has gadgets behind Class Challenge Assignments.

On the class side, per EA's published Assignment list:

  • Assault — Deploy Beacon and Incendiary Round Shotgun gadgets, the Frontliner Training Path and a Loadout Slot.
  • Engineer — Vehicle Supply Crate and Aim Guided Launcher gadgets, the Combat Engineer Training Path and a Loadout Slot.
  • Support — Smoke Grenade Launcher, Incendiary Airburst Launcher and Supply Pouch gadgets, the Fire Support Training Path and a Loadout Slot.
  • Recon — Demolition Charge and Tracer Dart gadgets, the Spec Ops Training Path and a Loadout Slot.

On the weapon side, the Assignment-gated guns run across every category: KORD 6P67, NVO-228E and L85AE among the Assault Rifles, QBZ-192 and SG 553R in Carbines, SWC-10 and SL9 in SMGs, KTS100 MK8 and M240L in LMGs, the 18.5KS-K Shotgun, the SVDM DMR and the MRAD Sniper. EA captions the SWC-10 as "one of the dozen weapons available at launch that is unlockable through a Challenge," which is exactly twelve guns across six categories.

Two things follow. Career Rank 13 is a hard gate, because the Weapon Assignment board is not there before it. And once it is open, the fastest route to a specific gun is that weapon's Assignment chain, not a daily. If the SVDM is the one you are after, our SVDM build and DMR ranking tells you whether the chain is worth your evening, and the full weapon unlock guide covers the rest of the roster.

When does the Deep Six Collection Event end?

Deep Six is the one deadline on this page that genuinely expires. EA's Game Update 1.4.3.0 notes state it plainly: "Deep Six is a new Collection Event starting with Tidal Strike on September 15 and running through October 12. Earn a series of exclusive rewards across Battlefield 6 and REDSEC by completing contracts and gathering intel devices. Unlock premium Weapon Packages, Customization Rewards, and the new Diver's Knife!"

Three details that change how you approach it:

  • It spans both games. Intel devices count from either Battlefield 6 or REDSEC, so your Ranked sessions are not dead time for the event. If you are running REDSEC anyway, our RP and ranked rewards guide explains what else that queue is paying you.
  • The knife is the completion reward. EA calls the Royal Navy Dive Knife "the ultimate reward for players who complete the full Collection Event." You will see it referred to by two official names, Diver's Knife and Royal Navy Dive Knife, across EA's own pages. They are the same item.
  • Twenty-seven days is shorter than it looks. Event contracts refresh on their own cadence rather than piggybacking on the daily board, so missing a week costs you contracts you cannot recover.

Are Battlefield 6 challenges broken right now?

Partly, and EA has published what it has fixed. The 1.4.3.0 changelog lists two challenge-display fixes shipped with the update itself: "Corrected an issue where certain events could display an incorrect end time in the Challenges tab" and "Corrected an issue where Challenge progression could display incorrectly on the End of Round screen."

Then, in the official Known Issues and Status Roundup published September 16, the Battlefield Team confirmed two more live fixes for the event specifically:

Deep Six Event Contracts: We have identified and resolved an issue with the Deep Six Collection event contracts. We have rolled out this fix, and players should now receive contracts at the intended level.

The same post adds that "we resolved an issue that caused the Deep Six Event information screen to pop up every time you visited the event tab." It also lists Missing Weapon Attachments, Battle Royale matchmaking and delayed in-game notifications as still under investigation, and notes Proximity Chat is currently disabled.

A caution on the rest. Since the update there have been community reports of Class and Unit challenge progress appearing to reset, and of the event pop-up persisting on some platforms after the fix. Those are player reports, not acknowledged bugs, and EA has not listed either on the known issues board at the time of writing. Treat them as worth checking before you grind, not as confirmed. If your attachments are what vanished, that one is a documented open issue and we cover it in missing attachments in Update 1.4.3.0.

There is also a wording trap rather than a bug. Event challenges referencing a "Radio Control Tower" are the same objective players call the Radio Tower, and some localised clients shorten the label. If the marker and the challenge text disagree, follow the marker.

How to actually plan a week around the reset

A small amount of scheduling gets most of the value:

  • Check in after 04:00 UTC. Anything unfinished across that line is discarded. On US Pacific time, treat 9:00 PM as your real deadline.
  • Spend daily rerolls immediately. They do not bank. If the daily wants Recon kills and you are playing Engineer all night, swap it in the menu before you queue.
  • Do the weekly board early. A weekly started on Monday has hours left, not days. Front-load them on Wednesday and Thursday.
  • Keep Assignments as your fallback. They never expire, so any session with a hostile rotating board becomes a Weapon Assignment session instead.
  • Book the event separately. Deep Six contracts run on the event's own schedule and close on October 12 regardless of how your dailies went.

None of this creates time. Clearing Career Rank 13, then a full Weapon Assignment chain, then a weekly board, then event contracts, all before October 12, is a real number of evenings. If the calendar is the constraint rather than the skill, that is what our service list exists for.

Short on evenings before the event closes? Timesaver runs the grind while you keep the rewards:

Frequently asked questions

What time do Battlefield 6 daily challenges reset? 04:00 UTC every day. That is midnight US Eastern, 9:00 PM US Pacific the evening before, 5:00 AM in the UK and 6:00 AM in Central Europe on current September dates.

What day do Battlefield 6 weekly challenges reset? Tuesday, at 12:00 UTC. That is 8:00 AM US Eastern and 1:00 PM in the UK.

How many challenge rerolls do I get? One daily reroll and three weekly rerolls as a baseline. Owning Battlefield 6 adds one to each, and Battlefield Pro adds one more to each, for up to 3 rolls per day and up to 5 weekly rerolls.

Do unfinished challenges carry progress over to the next day? No. Partial progress on a Daily Challenge is cleared at the 04:00 UTC reset, and weeklies clear at their own Tuesday reset.

Do Assignments reset? No. Class Assignments, Weapon Assignments and their Training Paths are permanent objective chains. They unlock at Career Rank 10 and Career Rank 13 respectively and stay until you finish them.

Can Free Trial players earn challenge rewards? The Free Trial runs until September 22, 2026 and lets you play, but the extra daily and weekly rerolls are tied to owning Battlefield 6 rather than to trial access.

Do challenges give Battle Pass points? Yes. EA states that Battle Pass points "can also be earned straight up via Challenges," separately from the Battle Pass XP you earn 1:1 with Career XP.

When does the Deep Six event end? October 12, 2026. It started September 15 with Season 4: Tidal Strike, and completing the full Collection Event awards the Royal Navy Dive Knife.

Why did my challenge progress disappear after the update? Two display bugs were fixed in Update 1.4.3.0 itself, one for incorrect event end times in the Challenges tab and one for progression showing incorrectly on the End of Round screen. Beyond those, some players have reported Class and Unit progress resetting, but EA has not acknowledged that as a bug, so check your Assignments board directly before assuming it is lost.
