Quick Answer
- A full 2XP weekend is reported live until Monday, November 2 at 12:00 UTC. Battlefield-Inside reported Career, Hardware and Battle Pass 2XP on October 30. EA's news page and Steam feed did not list it when we checked on October 31, 2026, so confirm the banner in-game.
- Some form of 2XP has been reported on four weekends in a row, starting with the one that ended October 12. The last one EA dated in writing was the 2x XP weekend it extended to Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
- EA does not publish a schedule. In January it said these moments would be "communicated in-game and through our social media channels".
- Windows tend to end on a Monday at 12:00 UTC. Eight sourced closing times match, from December 2025 to the reported November 2 close, though one outlet estimated about 10:00 for October 26. EA's Tuesday extension in October is the exception to the Monday habit.
- "Double XP" is not one thing. The full version doubles Career, Hardware and Battle Pass XP. Other weekends have doubled Battle Pass XP only, which does nothing for your guns, or Hardware XP only, which does nothing for your rank.
- The free 15 Minute XP Boosts never level weapons. Hardware XP Boosts do exist, but only as named items such as the Phantom XP Boost Set.
Is Double XP live in Battlefield 6 right now?
Reportedly yes, though EA has not put it in writing. Battlefield-Inside reported on October 30 that a Triple 2XP event covering Career, Hardware and Battle Pass XP is live on all platforms until Monday, November 2, at 13:00 German time, which is 12:00 UTC. A post on r/Battlefield6 the same evening also said 2XP had just started. The most recent official line is still the Steam Free Trial post of October 16: "we are extending the 2x XP weekend to Tuesday as well. Level up your Career Rank, your weapons and unlock the Battle Pass Tiers even quicker!" Nothing EA has published since then mentions Double XP, including the October 21 community update, which sets out its plans through December.
That gap is normal. EA runs these events through in-game banners and social posts, so its written feeds often miss them. Check the banner on the main menu before you plan a session around it.
Don't plan around the timer, though. On October 30, a player on r/Battlefield6 posted a 2XP timer showing almost a year remaining. Replies tied it to the Friday Night Battlefield tile: "It's the timer for the FNB mode tho, still bugged lol." EA has not commented, so treat the year as a display fault and November 2 as the reported end.
When is the next Double XP weekend in Battlefield 6?
EA has not announced one after the weekend reported through November 2. There is no official Battlefield 6 Double XP schedule, and any calendar you find online is a guess. This is the record we could source, and it is a floor, not a complete list:

Three patterns stand out. Eight windows have a sourced closing time of Monday at 12:00 UTC, counting the live one. The outlier on the hour is October 26, which Battlefield-Inside estimated in advance at about 10:00, with no time zone. The October weekend EA extended to Tuesday broke that habit, and EA gave it no closing hour. The pace has also picked up: some form of 2XP has been reported on four weekends in a row, starting with the one that ended October 12. And the last two windows EA described in writing both ran alongside a Free Trial, in September and October.
Our read, and it is inference rather than anything EA has said: check the banner every Friday, because recent windows have opened on Thursdays or Fridays. Phase 2 arrives November 10, so November 13-16 is the first obvious slot. Thanksgiving weekend (November 27-30) and the weekend before Christmas (December 18-21) line up with last year's late-November and December events. One player's summary in r/Battlefield6 is still fair: "It's random. Sometimes they'll post it other times they dont."
What does Double XP actually double?
It depends on the event, and this is where most wasted sessions come from. Battlefield 6 runs three tracks: Career XP, Hardware XP for each weapon and vehicle, and Battle Pass XP. EA's progression page says Battle Pass XP is earned alongside Career XP at a 1:1 ratio.
- Full 2XP, which the community calls the trifecta. Career, Hardware and Battle Pass all double. It speeds up attachments, camos and rank together. The February 12-16, June 12-15, August 21-24, September 4-7 and October 30 to November 2, 2026 windows were reported this way, and EA's mid-October wording covers all three tracks.
- Battle Pass 2XP. Only Battle Pass progress doubles. The December 2025 and October 12, 2026 windows were this type. If you have already finished the pass, it does nothing for you, which is what one player said about the October window: "No, just battlepass that I finished long ago."
- Hardware 2XP. Only Hardware XP doubles, so guns and vehicles speed up but rank does not. It was reported for February 20-23 and October 23-26, 2026, when PlayStation Plus subscribers reportedly got it a day early.
Read the banner wording before you commit. If it does not mention Hardware or weapons, assume your guns are not included.
Which XP boosts level weapons in Battlefield 6?
Only the ones that name Hardware XP. Our earlier version of this page said no Hardware XP Boost existed. That was wrong, because EA sells one and has given one away. Here are the main types we could confirm:

The nine rank boosts cause most of the confusion. EA's wording is exact: "We added multiple 15 Minute XP Boosts - which double XP earn rate - for Career and Battle Pass XP within Ranks 3-22." Hardware is not in that sentence. If you pop one and your rifle does not move, nothing is broken. The item never covered that track.
The Phantom set is the largest paid Hardware multiplier we could find in EA's listings. Its buy page lists "PHANTOM XP BOOST SET: 2X HARDWARE XP + 2X CAREER XP", and EA's store listing breaks the set into four items: 60 min Career, 60 min Hardware, 30 min Hardware and 30 min Career.

Is the Battlefield Pro bonus 5% or 15%?
EA's own pages use both numbers, so the confusion is understandable. The Season 5 Battle Pass page says Battlefield Pro includes "a +5% XP Booster." The 2.1.1.0 notes say "a 15% XP boost." EA Help settles it: "Adds a 15% XP boost (10% from the Battle Pass, 5% from Battlefield Pro)." EA's comparison graphic shows the same totals:
The row reads "Bonus XP: Hardware, Career, Battle Pass" with +10% for the Battle Pass and +15% for Battlefield Pro. So Pro's +5% sits on top of the pass's +10%. One caveat: EA Help describes the pass's 10% as a boost "toward Battle Pass tiers," while the graphic lists all three tracks. We follow the graphic because it names Hardware. GameRant also reports a 5% bonus for owning the game and 5% for playing in a party. All of these are small. A 15% bonus means roughly 87 minutes of play does the work of 100, so match volume still matters more.
Does an XP boost still count if it runs out mid-match?
Yes, partly. EA announced this change in a June 2026 community update: "XP Boosters will provide a partial XP multiplier to Match Bonus based on the amount of time they were active during the match, even if the booster expires before the match ends."
That matters more than it sounds. EA's progression page describes the end-of-match Match Bonus as a flat reward for Career, Weapon and Battle Pass XP, based on time in the match and the result. EA says a boost that expired early could previously miss it, and that you now keep a share. Boosts count down in real time, even in menus and on loading screens, GameRant reports, so start one from the pause menu once you are in the match.
How do you stack Double XP with XP boosts?
EA publishes no stacking formula, so treat the order below as a way to line sources up, not as guaranteed maths.
- Own the Bonus XP if you already planned to buy the pass. EA's comparison graphic lists all three tracks.
- Use a full 2XP or Hardware 2XP window. Check that the banner includes Hardware or weapons.
- Save your 15 Minute boosts for that window. Use Career boosts for rank and Battle Pass boosts for tiers.
- Add a Hardware boost only if the item names Hardware. This is the only item step that helps your guns.
- Pick a mode that pays full XP. The next section explains which ones do.
From Phase 3 on December 8, there is one more source. EA says "You will also earn an XP bonus whenever you play with fellow Platoon members in your squad," but it has not published the size.
Which Battlefield 6 modes pay full XP?
EA's rule is that "All Multiplayer experiences, as well as Verified Community Experiences in Portal, grant full XP towards this progression system". REDSEC Battle Royale also counts toward progression. Custom Portal experiences are the leak. With limited exceptions, kills, assists and objectives pay no XP there, and an increased match-completion bonus is what remains.
A few details are worth knowing before a boosted session:
- King of the Hill and Domination are Verified Modes. EA added them in Tidal Strike.
- Gauntlet is still reachable. EA says it is "still available as a verified Portal mode."
- The campaign pays no Career or Hardware XP. It does not appear in EA's list of progression sources.
- The Dead Space event runs until November 10. EA has not published an XP rate for Marker Incursion, so don't assume it beats normal play.
