If you search for the Rumble fruit in Blox Fruits today, you won't find it in the Dealer. Rumble didn't get removed. It got renamed and rebuilt. Since Update 27.0, "The Lightning Update" (released August 23, 2025), the fruit is called Lightning, and its moveset is a redesign of the old awakened Rumble. Many guides still list Rumble's V1/V2 moves and awakening costs. Those numbers no longer apply.
This guide covers the current version: what Lightning costs, every move with its mastery and cooldown, the four Admin Panel upgrades that replaced awakening, the combos that work, and what Lightning and its colour skins trade for in October 2026.
Quick answer: Lightning (formerly Rumble) is a Legendary Elemental-type Blox Fruit that costs 2,100,000 Beli or 2,100 Robux at the Blox Fruit Dealer. Its moves unlock at 1, 30, 90, 160 and 250 mastery. It has no awakening. Instead you upgrade it at the Admin Panel through 4 research tiers, which cost a total of 21,500 Fragments plus materials. It's one of the best stun fruits for sword and gun builds and a strong grinding fruit, but Rubber users are immune to it. Community trackers put it around 20M–35M physical and 2.4B–2.85B permanent (BloxRant and Bloxxfruits, checked October 22–23, 2026).
All move and upgrade data below comes from the Blox Fruits Fandom wiki Lightning page and the Update 27.0 changelog, both pulled on October 23, 2026. When we checked, Blox Fruits had 121,747 concurrent players on the Roblox Games API (universe 994732206, pulled 07:26 UTC on October 23, 2026; game last updated October 22). Is the Rumble fruit still in Blox Fruits?
Yes, but under a new name. The Update 27.0 changelog lists it under "Reworked Blox Fruit" as "Lightning (formerly Rumble)", and the same update added Lightning to the Admin Panel and removed the Rumble Raid. The rework was first announced in Gamer Robot's Blox Bulletin #014 in July 2025.
What that means for you:
- If you owned Rumble, you now own Lightning. It's the same fruit slot under a new name, so trade lists and the Dealer now only show Lightning.
- Awakening is gone. The old V2 moves were folded into the new kit. According to the wiki, "All of Lightning's moves are all redesigned and reworked Awakened Rumble."
- Old awakened users got a head start. Before Update 27.0, players who had Rumble fully awakened received three Admin Panel upgrades for free.
- The Rumble Raid no longer exists. It's the first raid ever removed from Blox Fruits entirely. If an old video tells you to buy a Rumble raid chip, that guide is out of date.
So when people type "rumble fruit value" or "blox fruit rumble awakening", the answer they need is the Lightning one.
What is the Lightning fruit, and how much does it cost?
Lightning is a Legendary Elemental-type fruit. The wiki infobox still dates it to Update 3, when it launched as Rumble. Its in-game Shop description reads, verbatim: "Provides electric-based attacks, which have stun-based effects."
| Physical | Permanent | |
|---|---|---|
| How you get it | Fruit spawns, gacha, trades | Dealer (2,100 Robux), gifts, trades |
| Dealer price | 2,100,000 Beli (equips instantly) | 2,100 Robux |
| Rarity / type | Legendary / Elemental | Legendary / Elemental |
| Community value (October 2026) | ~20M–35M | ~2.4B–2.85B |
Buying Lightning from the Dealer with Beli equips the power straight away. It replaces your current fruit, and you don't get a physical fruit you can store or trade. A physical Lightning comes from spawns, the gacha or trades. Permanent Lightning costs 2,100 Robux and stays on your account forever, so you can switch to another fruit and come back without paying again.
As an Elemental fruit, Lightning has the Elemental Reflex passive: you're immune to physical attacks from swords, guns and fighting styles unless they're imbued with Aura. Against NPCs it has extra limits: per the wiki, it only applies to non-boss enemies, and higher-level NPCs can still hit you.
What are all the Lightning fruit moves?
Lightning runs on Orb Charge, its second passive. You carry 4 electric orbs on your back. Z, V and F each use one, and Z and F can't be used with no orbs left. An orb takes 5 seconds to recharge (3 seconds once upgraded). Landing your TAP attack charges orbs much faster.
| Key | Move | Mastery | Cooldown | Energy | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| TAP | Power Streak | — | 3.5s | 25 | Short lightning bursts that stun and chain between enemies. Low damage. Charges orbs faster on hit |
| Z | Lightning Orb | 1 | 5s (3s upgraded) | 15 | Tap: throw an orb. Short-hold (0.5s): a sphere that pulls enemies in, then explodes. Full hold (1.5s): launch an electric dragon |
| F | Electric Flash | 30 | 0–4s | 30 | Tap: zap forward and stun anyone in your path. Hold: chain teleport strikes through grouped enemies |
| X | Thunderstorm | 90 | 13s | 25 | Summons a thundercloud. Feed it Z1 orbs for about 5 extra seconds each, or a Z3 to send a dragon crashing down |
| C | Sky Judgement | 160 | 19s | 35 | A warning beam, then a bigger lightning beam about 0.75s later. Pulls targets up and stuns for 1 second |
| V | Thunderball Destruction | 250 | 30s | 50 | Compresses clouds into a lightning ball you drop like a bomb. Hold to spend orbs and charge it up to 4 times |
Which Lightning moves break Instinct?
Most of them do, which is a big reason Lightning stays strong in PvP:
- TAP always breaks Instinct on hit.
- Z2 breaks with both the orb and the explosion. Z1 can't.
- X breaks on or near the ground, but it can be dodged in the air.
- C breaks on the first hit.
- V breaks most of the time.
- F can't break Instinct unless you use the charged version.
Where can't you use Lightning's X and V?
The wiki notes that X Thunderstorm can't be cast under a low roof or any cover, such as buildings or the Magma Admiral's volcano. V Thunderball Destruction also blows up instantly under some roofs since the rework. Both work under a high enough roof, like the Factory's. If you grind or fight indoors, plan around this.
How do you upgrade Lightning at the Admin Panel?
Lightning doesn't awaken anymore. You upgrade it at the Admin Panel, which you open by talking to the Mysterious Scientist. Lightning is one of five fruits on the panel, alongside Gravity, Eagle, Pain and Control. Each upgrade needs a mastery level, a research task and a cost:
| Upgrade | Mastery | Research task | Effect | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Arc Discharge Protocol | 200 | Defeat 25 enemies with TAP | Orbs recharge faster | 1,500 Fragments + 3 Angel Wings |
| Predator Circuit Breaker | 300 | Defeat 30 Piranhas | X's cloud can absorb your orbs to extend its duration | 3,000 Fragments + 3 Electric Wings |
| Capacitor Overload Test | 400 | Use 200 orb charges in total | A fully charged Z3 can grab players (5-hit combo) | 6,000 Fragments + 1 Volt Capsule + 5 Electric Wings |
| Conductor's Resonance | 500 | Eat a Lightning fruit with the research active | A charged Z3 fired into X's cloud sends a dragon toward your cursor | 11,000 Fragments + 3 Volt Capsules + 5 Electric Wings |
Full cost: 500 mastery, 21,500 Fragments, 4 Volt Capsules, 13 Electric Wings, 3 Angel Wings and one extra physical Lightning fruit (physical Lightning skins are accepted).
Where the materials drop, per the wiki:
- Electric Wing: dropped by Piranhas. You'll be farming them for the Predator Circuit Breaker research anyway.
- Volt Capsule: dropped by the Sea Chanter and the Ocean Prophet.
- Angel Wings: dropped by God's Guard, Shanda, Royal Squad, Royal Soldier, Wysper and Thunder God. They're also a Dungeon reward if you're level 1100 or higher.
Is the last Lightning upgrade worth it?
For most players, no. Conductor's Resonance eats a whole physical Lightning fruit, and the wiki's notes are blunt about its payoff: "Unless absolutely needed for completion purposes, it is highly recommended to ignore this upgrade outright." The dragon it adds has a poor hitbox, low damage and can't hit targets in the air. Stop at Capacitor Overload Test. The Z3 grab is the upgrade that actually changes fights.
Is Lightning good for grinding?
Yes, it's one of the easier fruits to level with. The wiki lists it as "spectacular for grinding", and here's why:
- X Thunderstorm stuns everything under it. Extend it with Z1 orbs (about 5 seconds per orb) and you can farm with almost any sword or fighting style while mobs stay locked in place.
- Z3 chains between nearby enemies, so it clears a crowd in one cast.
- C and V have huge areas. V in particular still covers a lot of ground after its nerfs.
The catch is orb management: Z and F both need orbs, so spamming Z leaves you with no Electric Flash to escape. Lightning is also a strong pick against Sea Beasts: the wiki rates X with Z1 orbs as extremely good for killing them.

Is Lightning good for PvP?
It's good, mostly as a support fruit. Lightning's real job in PvP is to stun a target so your sword or gun can land, which is how players used Rumble for years.
Strengths:
- Most moves break Instinct.
- X gives one of the most reliable stuns in the game, and C pulls enemies up and stuns them for a second, so both are good combo starters.
- Z has aim assist and spams well, which helps interrupt enemy combos.
- The wiki rates it "very good against Magnet users".
Weaknesses:
- Rubber counters it completely. It's the only fruit fully negated by another fruit's immunity, and Rubber users ignore its stuns too.
- Poor in the air. X and V are hard to land on airborne players, so C is your only reliable anti-air move.
- Long endlag on X and C punishes you if you miss.
- The orb visuals hurt FPS, which players complain about on lower-end devices.
Which Lightning combos work?
These are suggested sequences built from the wiki's move notes, not frame-tested combos. Swap in your own sword or gun, and practise them on NPCs first:
- C → sword/gun → V. Sky Judgement pulls the target up and stuns them for 1 second. Hit with your weapon, then finish with a tapped V.
- X → Z1 orbs → sword. Cast the storm, feed it orbs to keep the stun going, and hit with your weapon underneath it. This also works well on bosses' adds and Sea Beasts.
- Z2 → TAP → F. The Z2 sphere pulls the target in, TAP up close breaks Instinct, and Electric Flash closes the gap or gets you out.
- V → Skull Guitar Z (Soul Shaker). The wiki recommends this to cancel V's high knockback so the target stays in range.

What is Lightning (Rumble) worth in trades in October 2026?
There is no official Blox Fruits value list. Every number below is a community estimate from a third-party tracker, and the trackers disagree a lot. Check one or two before you accept a deal.
| Item | BloxRant (October 22, 2026) | Demand (BloxRant) |
|---|---|---|
| Lightning (physical) | 20M | 6/10 |
| Permanent Lightning | 2.4B | 8/10, trending "overpaid" |
| Purple Lightning | 5.01B | 7/10 |
| Red Lightning | 2.4B | 6/10 |
| Green Lightning | 270M | 6/10 |
| Yellow Lightning | 150M | 7/10 |
Values are from BloxRant. A second tracker, Bloxxfruits, showed physical Lightning at 35M and permanent at 2.85B on October 23, 2026, so treat any single number as a rough range. The four colour variants (Yellow, Purple, Green and Red) each count as a separate fruit, and eating one grants the matching permanent Chromatic skin. That's why Purple and Red trade far above the base fruit. One player in a recent r/bloxfruits thread put Red Lightning at "like 2.3B", close to BloxRant's figure.
That same thread is a useful warning. The player's Red Lightning vanished from their inventory, and one reply was blunt: "There is no way back, be it hacked or glitch." That's one player's experience, not an official policy, but it's a good reason to secure your account (2-step verification, no shared logins) before you hold high-value skins.

Should you buy permanent Lightning?
It depends on how you play:
- Buy it if you main a sword or gun and want a reliable stun fruit for the long run, or if you grind a lot and like keeping mobs locked down. Permanent means you can swap to a damage fruit for raids and come back for free.
- Skip it if you mostly fight in the air, or if your PvP opponents use Rubber.
- Physical first if you're unsure. At around 20M–35M, physical Lightning costs far less than permanent, so you can test it before spending 2,100 Robux.

FAQ
Is Rumble the same as Lightning in Blox Fruits? Yes. Update 27.0, "The Lightning Update" (August 23, 2025), reworked Rumble and renamed it Lightning. If you owned Rumble before the update, you now own Lightning.
Can you still awaken Rumble in Blox Fruits? No. Awakening was removed with the rework, and so was the Rumble Raid. Lightning is now upgraded at the Admin Panel through four research upgrades that unlock at 200, 300, 400 and 500 mastery.
How much does Lightning cost in Blox Fruits? 2,100,000 Beli or 2,100 Robux at the Blox Fruit Dealer. Beli equips it right away. Robux buys the permanent version.
What counters the Lightning fruit? Rubber. Rubber users are immune to Lightning's damage and its stuns. Lightning also struggles against players who stay in the air, since only C Sky Judgement is reliable against airborne targets.
Is Lightning good for grinding? Yes. X Thunderstorm stuns groups of mobs, extending it with Z1 orbs keeps them locked down, and Z3 chains through crowds. Just watch your orb count so you still have F for mobility.
What is permanent Lightning worth? Community trackers in October 2026 put it between about 2.4B (BloxRant, October 22) and 2.85B (Bloxxfruits, October 23). There's no official value list, so check a tracker on the day you trade.
