Quick answer: Bird Nests are small lootable nests hidden around every Delta Force Operations map. From October 30 to November 9, 2026, the Find Vlindflower event lets any Bird Nest drop the limited-time Collectible - Vlindflower, and extracting with it completes missions that pay free Tactical Armament Vouchers. The community interactive map shows 72 fixed nest spawns across four maps: 41 on Layali Grove, 20 on Zero Dam, 8 on Brakkesh and 3 on Space City. Your best farm is Layali Grove Easy (always in rotation, densest nests). Second best is Zero Dam Easy, where 9 nests sit on the dam-top Administrative Area. This guide covers Season Reorientation and was checked against the official Delta Force Steam news feed on October 30, 2026.

Key takeaways

  • Event dates: Find Vlindflower runs October 30 – November 9, 2026, in Operations only.
  • What drops: Bird Nests on all Operations maps have a chance to drop Vlindflower. It's a chance, not a guarantee, so plan routes that hit several nests.
  • 72 mapped nests: Layali Grove 41 · Zero Dam 20 · Brakkesh 8 · Space City 3. The numbered maps below show every one.
  • Extract or it doesn't count. The missions ask you to search Bird Nests and extract with Vlindflower. Die with it in your backpack and it's gone.
  • Spend the vouchers this season. Unused Armament Vouchers are cleared at the season update, and Season Aurora goes live on November 10.

What is the Find Vlindflower event in Delta Force?

Find Vlindflower is an Operations event that shipped with the Halloween Update on October 29, 2026 and opens on October 30. Team Jade's official wording, from the October 28 Halloween Update announcement on Steam:

"The Vlindflower figurine returns for a limited time! During the event, search Bird Nests across all maps in Operations for a chance to find the limited-time Collectible - Vlindflower. Complete missions to search Bird Nests and extract with Vlindflower to earn free Tactical Armament Vouchers!" (Delta Force Team, Steam, October 28, 2026)

It's called a return because the same figurine dropped from Bird Nests at the start of the season. The September 6 Reorientation launch post listed "Find Vlindflower" for September 8–20 ("Bird Nests across all maps have a chance to drop the Collectible - Vlindflower"). The September notes didn't mention missions. The October post adds voucher missions, which is what makes it worth farming now.

Don't confuse it with Colorful Vlindflower (Hidden Edition). That's a separate, much rarer collectible that has been live since September 8 and runs to November 9. Per the launch post, it drops from "containers on all maps" at "a low chance", not from Bird Nests specifically. You can find both on the same raid, but nest routes are only for the regular figurine.

The vouchers matter because of the clock. Season Reorientation ends November 9, Team Jade clears unused Armament Vouchers at each season update, and the separate Tactical Armament Giveaway (October 29 – November 9) pays out another 20 vouchers. See our Tactical Armament Voucher guide for where to spend them before the reset.

Which maps have Bird Nests, and which should you farm?

The official post says Bird Nests are on all Operations maps, but rotation decides which ones you can actually queue. The difficulty column shows where the community data tags each nest; the next column shows what you can queue right now. Here's how the community-mapped nests line up with the current Season Reorientation rotation (from the official S11 rotation graphic and later patch notes; see our map rotation schedule for exact hours):

MapMapped Bird NestsDifficulty tags (community data)When you can play it nowVerdict
Layali Grove41Easy, Normal, HardEasy permanent; Normal on weekendsBest farm. Densest nests, always open
Zero Dam20Easy, Normal, HardEasyBest for new players. Small map, cheap kits
Brakkesh8Normal, HardNormal permanentFine if you're already running Brakkesh
Space City3Normal, Hard (#3 also Easy)Hard only (2-hour blocks)Skip for nests; 3 spawns on a Hard map isn't worth it
AZ3 / Tide Prisonnot yet mapped—AZ3 Easy/Normal, Tide Prison HardNests count (official: "all maps"), but no public map yet

Two practical rules fall out of that table:

  • Run Easy. The event doesn't say a nest on Hard has better odds than one on Easy. So the cheapest, safest lobby with the most nests wins, and that's Layali Grove Easy or Zero Dam Easy.
  • Count nests per minute, not per map. Layali's 41 nests are spread over a large map. Zero Dam's 20 are packed into two tight clusters, so a short Zero Dam raid can hit almost as many nests as a long Layali one.

Where are all the Bird Nests on Zero Dam?

The header image at the top of this guide is the full Zero Dam map with all 20 nests numbered. They fall into three groups:

NestsAreaWhat to look for
1–8West bank, around the Cement Plant#1 is hidden in a concrete pipe northwest of the plant. #2 is inside the plant, under a Rocketeer spawn. #3 is in bushes on the west path. #4–6 sit together on the southwest slope, and #5 is hidden in an underground tunnel (floor −1), so look for the way down. #8 is inside a broken pipe on the south road. #7 is just across the bridge on the east bank
9–17Dam-top Administrative Area compoundNine nests spread along the dam buildings, from the west gate to the east end
18–20East road down to the Visitor CenterTwo nests along the road east of the Major Substation, then #20 at the Visitor Center's northwest corner

Best Zero Dam route: spawn west and sweep 1 → 8 (all within a short walk of each other), cross the bridge at 7, then push north into the dam compound for 9–17. That's 17 nests in one loop, ending near the Administrative Area. You can extract there or carry on down the east road for 18–20 if the lobby is quiet. If you spawn east, run it in reverse: Visitor Center → east road → dam compound.

Zero Dam Easy is also where most beginners queue, so the nests near the Cement Plant get searched early. If #2–6 are already open when you arrive, someone beat you to them. Go straight to the dam compound instead. Our Zero Dam loot and extraction guide covers the extract points.

Where are all the Bird Nests on Layali Grove?

Annotated Delta Force Layali Grove map with 41 numbered bird nest locations from Gharbi Building and Desert Trails Farm to Sparkling Empress Hotel and Ghurab Desolation

Layali Grove has the most mapped nests by a distance: 41, all tagged for Easy, Normal and Hard in the community data. One caveat before you route: Layali Grove was reworked into Layali Grove 2.0 at the start of Season Reorientation (new areas and water routes; see our Layali Grove 2.0 map guide). These positions come from a community map, so if a marked nest is missing in-game, it may have moved with the rework. Check the nearest roof or building corner before you give up on it. Numbering runs roughly west to east:

NestsAreaNotes
1–2Gharbi BuildingTwo nests side by side; #1 is on the ground floor
3–6Desert Trails FarmFour nests around the farm buildings, southwest corner of the map
7–10Hills around Manor House#7 is in a minefield, so walk carefully. #8 is on an upper floor
11–16Cargo Havoc to CheckpointSpread along the south road and the riverbank
17–18North road toward the SubstationTwo isolated nests; skip them unless you're passing
19–25Sparkling Empress Hotel compoundSeven nests in one compound, the densest cluster in the community data. #21 is in the fountain
26–29East of the hotel toward Blue Wharf#27 is on a roof: jump onto the hay to climb up
30Storage CenterLone nest on the north side
31–35Village and road west of Small Train StationThree nests close together (#32–34), then #35 at the station
36–41Ghurab DesolationSix nests. #39 is on a roof; #36 is on an upper floor

Best Layali route: the Sparkling Empress Hotel (19–25) is the anchor. Seven nests inside one walled compound beats every other cluster in the community data. From the west side, a strong loop is Desert Trails Farm (3–6) → Checkpoint (14–16) → hotel (19–25), which is 14 nests before you've crossed the middle of the map. From the east, do Ghurab Desolation (36–41) → Blue Wharf side (26–29) → hotel.

The hotel is also a hot zone. If you hear a squad already inside, take the outside nests (16, 25, 26) and leave the courtyard to them.

Where are the Bird Nests on Brakkesh and Space City?

Annotated Delta Force Brakkesh map with 8 numbered bird nest locations around the city walls

Brakkesh (8 nests, Normal and Hard only):

  • #1: north side, near Cherry Town
  • #2: inside the west wall
  • #3–6: the north edge of the city. #3 is above the market, and #4–6 sit together on the west side of Azure Town
  • #7: the south district, above the Water Storage Area
  • #8: east side, near Ahsarah Camp

The northern run (#3 → #4 → #5 → #6) is the only tight cluster. That's four nests in a short street fight, and it's worth grabbing on any Brakkesh Normal raid you were already planning. Our Brakkesh map guide has the extracts.

Annotated Delta Force Space City map with 3 numbered bird nest locations near the Centrifuge Facility, Horizontal Test Workshop and Hoisting

Space City (3 nests): #1 is on the waterfront below the Centrifuge Facility, #2 is near the Horizontal Test Workshop, and #3 is on the curved road at Hoisting. Only #3 is tagged for all difficulties in the community data. #1 and #2 are tagged Normal/Hard. Space City is currently Hard-only in the rotation, so three nests won't justify a Hard kit. Grab them only if you're there for other reasons.

How do you get Vlindflower and the free vouchers?

The event has two parts, and you need both:

  • Search Bird Nests. Every nest you open counts toward the search missions, whether or not Vlindflower drops. Opening empty nests still makes progress.
  • Extract with Vlindflower. The figurine only counts once you leave the raid alive with it. The voucher rewards are tied to extracting, not just picking it up.

Check the event page in the lobby (Events menu) for the exact mission counts and voucher amounts on your account. Team Jade's post confirms that missions pay vouchers but doesn't publish the numbers.

How to keep the figurine once you have it:

  • Put it in your Safe Box if it fits. Items in the Safe Box survive death, so you keep the figurine. The mission still says extract with Vlindflower, so don't count on a death-with-Safe-Box run completing it. See our Safe Box guide.
  • Extract early. If Vlindflower drops on your third nest, don't keep looting for a fourth. One extracted figurine beats two lost ones.
  • Run a cheap kit. You're searching nests, not fighting for the Black Chamber. A low-cost loadout means a death costs you little. Our extraction guide covers the safest exits.

What do players get wrong about Bird Nests?

Reading back through last year's Zero Dam bird nest thread on r/DeltaForceGlobal, the same confusion keeps coming up:

  • "Nests change daily." During an October 2025 event, players reported special event nests that "change daily - always two total" and "switched mid day to two different locations." That was a different event with extra seasonal nests. Team Jade's October 2026 post only says to search "Bird Nests across all maps", meaning the regular nests, which are fixed spawns. If the game adds rotating event nests again, the event page will show it.
  • "Someone spawned those nests with a hack." One player wrote that the first time they found nests with someone looting them, they "thought he had spawned all those nests as part of a hack." They're a normal, permanent container. They just get far more traffic during events.
  • "Vlindflower is the rare one." It isn't. The rare drop is Colorful Vlindflower (Hidden Edition), which comes from containers in general and runs to November 9. The regular Vlindflower is the event figurine.
  • "Hard mode drops it more." Nothing in the official text says that. Run the difficulty you can survive.

A note on safety: Team Jade's security team publishes weekly penalty notices and has stepped up enforcement against real-money trading this season. Farm Vlindflower on your own account, in your own lobbies. Don't use macros, account sharing or "carry" services for event items. The ban risk is real and the reward is a handful of free vouchers.

FAQ

Where are the Bird Nests in Delta Force? Every Operations map has Bird Nests. The community map shows 72 fixed spawns: 41 on Layali Grove, 20 on Zero Dam, 8 on Brakkesh and 3 on Space City. AZ3 and Tide Prison also count for the event, but their nests haven't been publicly mapped yet. The numbered maps in this guide show every mapped nest.

How long does the Find Vlindflower event last? From October 30 to November 9, 2026, in Operations only. It ends the same day Season Reorientation ends. Season Aurora starts on November 10.

Is Vlindflower guaranteed from a Bird Nest? No. Team Jade's wording is "for a chance to find" it, so some nests will be empty or drop other loot. Opening nests still counts toward the search missions either way.

What is the best map to farm Bird Nests? Layali Grove Easy. It's permanently in rotation and has 41 community-mapped nests, including seven inside the Sparkling Empress Hotel compound. Zero Dam Easy is the best smaller option, with nine nests in the dam-top Administrative Area.

Do I have to extract with Vlindflower? Yes. The voucher missions require you to extract with the figurine. If you die before extracting, you lose it unless it was in your Safe Box.

What's the difference between Vlindflower and Colorful Vlindflower? Vlindflower is the event figurine from Bird Nests (October 30 – November 9). Colorful Vlindflower (Hidden Edition) is the season's rarest collectible. Per the September 6 launch post, it drops at a low chance from any container on any map, through November 9.
