Quick answer: Yes, Delta Force still has cheaters, and Team Jade says so itself. Its most recent weekly bulletin on Steam (October 5–11, 2026) lists 983 PC players banned for 10 years, 11,641 devices blocked for a year and 5,934 players forced offline for cheating. That PC ban count is about 85% lower than the 6,366 peak in the week of April 6–12, 2026. To deal with a cheater, report them after the match with the in-game report feature. If a cheater killed you in Operations and they later get a 30-day or 10-year ban, the gear in your equipment slots comes back through in-game mail within 3 business days of the ban, whether you reported them or not. This guide applies to Season Reorientation (September 8 – November 9, 2026). It was checked against every G.T.I. Security post on the official Steam news feed up to October 28, 2026.
Key takeaways
- The trend is down, but it's not zero. PC 10-year bans fell from thousands per week in spring 2026 to 709–1,097 per week across September and early October.
- Most bans now are economic, not aimbot. The October 5–11 bulletin addressed 367,411 cases of automated farming and multi-account abuse in one week. That's the highest weekly figure on the Steam feed in 2026.
- Repeat offenders get caged, not just banned. Since June 2026, Operation Sentinel locks flagged accounts out of Space City and Tide Prison and marks them visibly in the match.
- Compensation is automatic. You don't need to report anyone to get your gear back, but reporting still helps the team investigate.
- Never squad up with a cheater on purpose. Team Jade penalizes people who team with confirmed cheaters. It issued 120 warnings for this in one week alone.
How many cheaters are in Delta Force right now?
Nobody outside Team Jade can count how many cheaters are online. What we do have is the official G.T.I. Security "Notice of penalties for violations", a weekly bulletin on the Delta Force Steam news feed. We pulled every 2026 edition from that feed. Here is how the PC numbers moved:
| Week (2026) | PC 10-year bans | Devices blocked 1 year | Economic violations addressed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Feb 16 – Feb 22 | 766 | 6,927 | 3,935 |
| Mar 9 – Mar 15 | 3,263 | 18,946 | 54,640 |
| Apr 6 – Apr 12 | 6,366 | 20,157 | 28,559 |
| May 18 – May 24 | 4,834 | 36,104 | 104,258 |
| Jun 8 – Jun 14 | 1,794 | 12,923 | 349,006 |
| Aug 3 – Aug 9 | 1,028 | 18,725 | 276,392 |
| Sep 7 – Sep 13 | 737 | 9,765 | 82,252 |
| Sep 21 – Sep 27 | 709 | 10,573 | 227,379 |
| Oct 5 – Oct 11 | 983 | 11,641 | 367,411 |

Three things stand out:
- PC cheat bans peaked in spring. Team Jade's own mid-year chart (above) shows monthly PC 10-year bans climbing through March and April 2026 before falling back by June.
- The latest weeks are much quieter. Weekly PC 10-year bans since September have run between 709 and 1,097. That's roughly a sixth of the April peak.
- The economic numbers went the other way. "Economic Security Violations" means bots and scripts: "automated bulk registration of accounts," "automated multi-client login," "auto-farming (run-through)," "auto-extract," and "auto-sell supplies." The October 5–11 bulletin says those cases "included 144,890 cases of benefits being confiscated and 222,521 account bans being issued."
Team Jade warns against reading too much into any single week. Its July 22, 2026 mid-year Security Brief says: "Weekly ban numbers will keep moving up and down — what actually matters is whether you're running into this stuff less often when you play." It also says "cheat activity is trending down, confirmed cheat samples are shrinking."
Why does it still feel like there are so many cheaters?
Fewer bans doesn't mean you'll never meet a cheater, and the community clearly hasn't stopped seeing them. A thread on r/DeltaForceGlobal titled "Why so many?" picked up 39 comments this week. One player wrote: "I have encountered cheaters on mandelbrick lobby on ZD easy mode who got banned mid match and two more in AZ3." Another, newer player said "there are way too many suss deaths going on."
Three things make Delta Force feel worse than the numbers suggest:
- Extraction losses hurt more. In Operations, dying costs you everything outside your Safe Box. One cheater kill can wipe out a whole night of looting, so you remember it.
- Some "cheats" are operator kits. In the same thread, players explained that Hackclaw's scan only covers the direction she's facing, and that Nox's ultimate hides him from scans while it's active. Team Jade's own notes confirm Nox's Silent Assault "won't leave footprints visible to Raptor" and isn't detected by Wing Cams. Check the operator tier list before you assume a scan was beaten by software.
- Bots fill the gaps in Easy. Easy-mode Operations lobbies on Zero Dam and AZ3 are often full of AI operators. Players in another thread this week reported that "zerodam easy and az3 easy are mostly bots." Strange bot behavior can look like cheating. Our bots and AI players explainer shows how to tell them apart.
None of this means every suspicious death is innocent. Team Jade's own cheat ring brief from September 2, 2026 describes a cheat client called "*K" whose "core functions were wallhack, which exposes enemy positions through terrain and structures, and aimbot, which seizes target acquisition and tracking from the user." Real cheats exist. The point is to report what you can't explain, not everything you lose to.
What anti-cheat does Delta Force use?
Delta Force on PC is protected by Anti-Cheat Expert (ACE), Tencent's anti-cheat, plus extra layers Team Jade added in 2025 and 2026:
- ACE detection. The first Security Brief (November 28, 2025) says ACE uses "client anomaly detection, cheat signature detection, and behavioral anomaly detection" to catch "inhuman reaction times and impossible movements." The same brief says Delta Force issued over 170,000 bans in 2025.
- DMA Shield. This targets hardware cheats that read game memory through an external device. Team Jade reports DMA bans separately; there were 133 "DMA bans/real-time interceptions/freeze actions" in the October 5–11 week.
- Secure Boot and TPM 2.0. These are required on PC. The game checks both when you reach the lobby, and you can't play without them. The mid-year brief explains that Secure Boot "verifies the system boot chain during startup," while TPM 2.0 "uses hardware-level security to help verify the integrity of the runtime environment." Setup steps are in our Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 guide.
- Kernel and shellcode detection. The mid-year brief says detection was strengthened in April 2026 for "in-game Shellcode and kernel Shellcode," plus "abnormal memory execution, and unauthorized drivers."
Mobile and console have their own numbers in each bulletin. For October 5–11, mobile had 265 10-year bans and 11,316 cheating attempts stopped in real time, while console listed 9 violation bans.
What is Operation Sentinel?
Operation Sentinel is Team Jade's system for repeat offenders. It went live in June 2026 (official post, June 5). Its target is the player who "doesn't care about losing accounts. Ban one — they make another." According to Team Jade, those players caused "an outsized share of the damage on our Hard maps."
When a device shows high-risk patterns like ban evasion or "rapid account cycling," linked accounts enter a restricted state:
- Map restriction: in Operations, "access limited to Zero Dam and Layali Grove only."
- Social isolation: "Squad play disabled; matchmaking pool separated from the general population."
- In-match flagging: "Visibly marked to other players in the session."
Chronic offenders also lose more. Team Jade says "all illicit gains across every map are fully clawed back," and accounts that benefited "via carry services face the same enforcement." The point of the design is to keep the worst repeat cheaters out of Space City and Tide Prison, the two maps where cheating pays most. If you play those maps a lot, our Space City guide and Tide Prison guide cover routes and bosses.
Flagged accounts get an observation period. Normal play can lift restrictions early, and finishing the period cleanly removes them automatically. If you think you were flagged by mistake, Team Jade says to use the official support channels.
How do I report a cheater in Delta Force?
- Report after the match with the in-game report feature. Team Jade's PC open beta FAQ (December 5, 2024) says: "You can report suspected cheaters after a match using the in-game reporting feature or via the official G.T.I. Security Site." It also promised that reports would be investigated "within 24 hours." That's a 2024 statement, so treat the timeframe as a target rather than a guarantee.
- Note the details right away: the match time, the map and mode, and the player's name. You'll need them if compensation doesn't arrive.
- Use Customer Service for anything the report button can't handle. The official channels are the headset icon in game or on the login screen, the Support page on playdeltaforce.com, and service@playdeltaforce.com.
- Don't post accusations with names in public. Report through the official channels. The weekly bulletin already publishes "a list of some of the accounts we have taken action against."
Team Jade keeps asking for reports. Every weekly bulletin invites players "to actively report inappropriate behavior in the game through reporting channels."
How does cheater kill compensation work?
This is the part most players don't know about. Team Jade's Cheater Compensation FAQ (September 15, 2025) and the current weekly bulletins set the rules.
When you qualify: a cheater kills you in Operations and ends your match, and that cheater is then banned. Originally only 10-year bans counted. Every weekly bulletin since late November 2025 says: "Now, players affected by cheaters who receive 30-day bans can also receive cheat kill compensation."
What comes back: "all the gear you lost from your equipment slots in that match: weapons, attachments, helmets, ballistic vests, backpacks, and chest rigs," returned "in the exact condition you brought it in." Consumables and miscellaneous items such as ammo aren't returned.
When: "within 3 business days" of the email confirming the ban, through in-game mail. The mail arrives as an Abnormal Match Compensation Mail from the Security Team, with the gear attached (example below).
The fine print is worth knowing:
- Reporting isn't required. The FAQ says: "Reporting doesn't affect compensation at all. Our system automatically tracks down every suspicious match."
- Rage-quitting doesn't cost you. If you leave after the cheater kills you, you still qualify.
- Gear in your backpack doesn't count. Only equipment slots are covered. Team Jade's own advice: "We recommend not bringing your good helmets, ballistic vests, or weapons in your backpack or chest rig."
- No double payout. If squadmates extracted your gear and returned it, that gear isn't compensated again.
- Missing compensation? If it's been more than 3 business days since the ban, contact Customer Service in game with "when it happened, the cheater's username, etc."
Can you get banned for playing with a cheater?
Yes, if you do it to profit. Team Jade added a "Teaming with Cheaters" penalty in December 2024: "When a confirmed cheater is penalized, we also review and take action against players connected to them." Penalties can include "account bans and confiscation of previous gains." The October 5–11 bulletin lists 120 warnings for teaming with cheaters.
The same logic applies to the economy. On October 12, 2026, Team Jade said players had been "maliciously manipulating the matchmaking mechanism to move supplies between game matches" through queue sniping, and that it "will fully recover all Tekniq Alloys gained through such transactions." Our RMT ban wave explainer covers that crackdown.
The cheat ring brief also explains why paid carries are risky. Its main buyers were "carry-service studios — sellers who use cheats to sell match results to paying clients." More than 30 people tied to the ring, "including studios selling paid carry services," are now in custody. Under Operation Sentinel, accounts that benefited from those carries get "the same enforcement." There is no safe way to buy your way around this. Delta Force runs one of the strictest enforcement setups of any game, so keep your account clean.
Is Delta Force worth playing with the cheater problem?
For most players, yes, as long as you know the rules. Team Jade is unusually open about the problem. It posts a bulletin every week, publishes mid-year statistics and showed the seized hardware from a real criminal case. Its own line from the cheat ring brief sums up its position: "G.T.I. Security will not claim this ends cheating. It does not. What it does is make this trade expensive to run."
To lower your exposure:
- Learn the operator kits so you can tell a legit Nox or Hackclaw play from a cheat.
- Keep your best armor in equipment slots, not your backpack, so compensation can return it.
- Avoid suspicious randoms offering easy loot or carries.
- Practice on easier lobbies before you take expensive kits into Space City or Tide Prison. Our solo Operations guide covers which queues suit you best.
FAQ
Does Delta Force have a lot of cheaters in 2026? It has fewer than it did in spring. Weekly PC 10-year bans fell from a peak of 6,366 (April 6–12, 2026) to 983 in the October 5–11 bulletin. Players still report cheaters, especially on high-value maps, and Team Jade says it doesn't claim cheating is solved.
Do I have to report a cheater to get my gear back? No. Team Jade's compensation FAQ says reporting doesn't affect compensation. The system checks every suspicious match involving a banned cheater automatically. Reporting still helps the investigation, so do it anyway.
How long does cheater kill compensation take in Delta Force? It arrives through in-game mail within 3 business days of the ban confirmation email. If it hasn't arrived after that, contact Customer Service in game with the match time and the cheater's name.
Does Delta Force anti-cheat work on console? Console players are covered by the security team too. Each weekly bulletin lists console bans separately; there were 9 console violation bans in the October 5–11, 2026 week. The Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 requirement is PC-only.
What happens to players flagged by Operation Sentinel? In Operations they can only play Zero Dam and Layali Grove. Squad play is disabled, they're matched in a separate pool, and they're visibly marked to other players. Restrictions lift after a clean observation period.
Can I get banned for being in a squad with a cheater? Team Jade reviews players linked to confirmed cheaters and penalizes those who team up on purpose for unfair gains. That can mean warnings, confiscated gains or account bans. Playing with a random who later turns out to be cheating isn't described as an offence by itself.
