A quick boss kill feels good. A quick kill on the wrong loot table gets expensive. Season of Hell's Legacy adds three Prime Evil farms alongside the established Lair Bosses, and old Duriel-versus-Andariel advice can send you after items that now belong elsewhere.

Which boss should you farm in Season 15?
Use this comparison before spending keys. Mephisto appears twice because his seasonal dungeon and expansion pinnacle have different rewards and access requirements.

The seasonal encounters unlock through the seasonal questline. Blizzard describes their repeatable Capstones as having fixed difficulty, with pinnacle versions at Torment 10+. Duriel and Andariel become available at Torment 1. Their keys pay for Hoards after victory. What do Baal, Mephisto and Diablo drop?
All three seasonal Prime Evils can drop the following nine Legacy Uniques. These are a shared pool: Stone of Jordan isn't assigned exclusively to Mephisto, and The Furnace isn't reserved for Diablo. The table identifies possible drops, not nine guaranteed rewards from one clear. Maxroll's observed seasonal drops.

Blizzard confirms the announced Legacy items' equipment types and says those additions remain available on Seasonal and Eternal realms. The current seasonal drop references also list Squirt's Blouse in this shared boss pool. Item availability and access to a seasonal dungeon are separate things. Weapon eligibility still matters. Finding a weapon in this list doesn't mean every class can equip it. Check the item's class restriction before building your farming session around it.
Is Baal the best Legacy Unique farm?
Start with Baal if your build handles him comfortably. Maxroll recommends his dungeon because its runs are shorter than the Diablo and Mephisto routes. That's a route-efficiency recommendation, not proof that Baal has a higher chance to drop your particular ring. Maxroll's farming recommendation.
Time the complete loop: entrance, travel, encounters, looting and reset. If you keep dying or losing time in Worldstone Keep, another shared-pool boss can be the better farm for your character. Our Worldstone Keep guide covers that route.
Did patch 3.2.3 change Baal's loot?
The October 14 notes fix Tyrael spawning where he could obstruct picking up Baal's loot. That entry concerns collecting items; it doesn't announce a Mythic drop-rate adjustment. Don't turn a pickup fix into a farming-odds claim. Blizzard patch 3.2.3.
What do Duriel and Andariel drop for every class?
Their dedicated pools are different. Read across your class row, then spend Greater Lair Keys on the boss holding your upgrade. These lists contain 24 regular Unique identities for Duriel and 23 for Andariel, including their all-class Unique, before the separate Iconic targets and supplementary random loot.

For a Necromancer hunting Lidless Wall, Andariel is the direct choice. For a Warlock hunting Morlu Fleshward, choose Duriel. A lucky off-table drop doesn't make the other boss an equally good target.

What trophies, cosmetics and runes can they drop?
There's more to these Hoards than equipment. Their Boss Trophies feed Horadric Cube recipes for that boss's dedicated Uniques. Their targeted rune pools require the Lair of Runes War Plan node; one point activates the setup.

The rune condition matters. Don't read these as guaranteed rune payouts from every unmodified kill, and don't confuse a Trophy with the Greater Lair Key needed for the Hoard. Boss Trophy and cosmetic reference, Lair of Runes setup and drops.
Which Mephisto guarantees a Mythic drop?
Echo of Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred expansion pinnacle, is the encounter attached to Blizzard's guaranteed-Mythic change. His fight is in The Birthplace in Skovos; the seasonal Mephisto farm is in the Durance of Hate.
Blizzard's Season 15 patch notes state: “Increased overall loot quality for Echo of Mephisto, including a guaranteed Mythic Drop.” Official 3.2.1 notes, Bosses section.
For the expansion pinnacle, plan around Torment X and 1 Crux of the False Prophet for your own Hoard. Each party member needs their own Crux for personal rewards. You can practice the encounter without spending one because the key opens the reward chest after the kill. Encounter database, documented Hoard mechanics.
The guarantee concerns Mythic quality. It doesn't promise Harlequin Crest, a particular Seal or the item your build needs. Keep that distinction in mind before committing your scarce keys to a specific equipment goal.

How do Mythic and random drops work now?
Season 15 changes the value of target farming in three ways:
- Dedicated Mythic Uniques follow the boss's own Unique pool. This applies to Initiate and Greater Lair Bosses and the selected table from Belial's Hoard.
- Supplementary random loot can break that pattern. Blizzard explicitly allows a small chance of Mythic Uniques outside the dedicated pool through those additional drops.
- Initiate Mythic rates now match Greater Lair Boss rates. The patch raised Initiates to match Greaters, so an older guide claiming Greaters always have superior Mythic odds is outdated.
Blizzard doesn't attach numerical percentages to those changes in the cited notes. A precise chance for your next Duriel opening would be a guess. Official Unique item changes.
Which Iconic Mythics can appear?
Iconic Mythics are the named chase items that remain Mythic-only. Other Uniques can roll at Mythic quality. The current boss reference lists these 13 Iconic Mythics across the wider eligible drop pool; class and weapon restrictions still apply.

This is a possibility list, not equal odds or a promise that every character can receive every weapon. Duriel's listed Iconic target remains Melted Heart of Selig; Andariel's is Andariel's Visage. Current Iconic Mythic reference.
What about Uniques outside the dedicated tables?
The current general pool includes Banished Lord's Talisman, Blood-Mad Idol, Endurant Faith, Fists of Fate, Flickerstep, Frostburn, Locran's Talisman, Mother's Embrace, Penitent Greaves, Rakanoth's Wake, Rustbitten Dirk, Soulbrand, Tassets of the Dawning Sky, Thousand-Eye Reaver, Thundergod's Blessing, Tibault's Will, Wendigo Brand and Wyrdskin. These lack a dedicated boss assignment in the reference. Don't treat seeing one in a loot pile as proof of a new target farm. General-pool item list.
Should you keep a strong Unique that isn't Mythic?
Yes, especially if you've already invested in its affixes. Season 15's Horadric Cube Upgrade Direct Item to Mythic recipe preserves the item's affixes, Tempering and Masterworking. It cannot accept an Unmodifiable item, and the result gets a Crafted tag; you can equip only one Crafted-tag item. The Jeweler and Blacksmith Mythic crafting routes don't add that tag. Check that restriction before upgrading. A well-rolled regular Unique is worth evaluating even when the drop isn't the rarity you wanted. You may already have the base for your next upgrade sitting in your stash.
How should you spend your next farming session?
Start with the weakest item in your actual build. Then follow this order:
- Find its source. Use the class table for Duriel or Andariel, or the shared table for Legacy Uniques.
- Farm a repeatable clear. Count travel and deaths when comparing Prime Evil routes. A higher difficulty isn't useful if you can't finish consistently.
- Budget reward openings. At the standard cost, 20 Duriel or Andariel Hoards require 20 Greater Lair Keys. Count openings, not just kills.
- Check secondary rewards. A useful rune pool or Boss Trophy can make one target more productive for your current crafting plans.
- Use Echo of Mephisto deliberately. Bring your own Crux and expect a random Mythic reward, not a guaranteed specific item.
Once the missing item drops, reassess. Your next upgrade may belong to a completely different boss. Habit is a poor reason to spend another stack of keys.

FAQ
Do Duriel and Andariel have the same loot table in Season 15? No. Their dedicated class Uniques differ. Duriel includes Razorplate and Melted Heart of Selig; Andariel includes Godslayer Crown and Andariel's Visage. Use the class table above before spending Greater Lair Keys.
Where should I farm Stone of Jordan? Seasonal Baal, Diablo and Mephisto can all drop it. Baal is a sensible starting route because of his shorter dungeon, but no individual clear guarantees the ring.
Why am I getting no Mythics from Baal? His seasonal encounter isn't the one Blizzard names for the guaranteed Mythic reward. Mythics can drop, but a run without one doesn't establish a nerf or a broken loot table.
Does seasonal Mephisto guarantee a Mythic? Don't apply the expansion guarantee to the Durance of Hate encounter. Blizzard's change names Echo of Mephisto, the separate pinnacle fought in Skovos with a Crux-funded Hoard.
Do Duriel and Andariel still target-drop Rod of Kepeleke? The current dedicated source is Astaroth. Duriel's Spiritborn entries are Widow's Web and Wushe Nak Pa; Andariel's are Craze of the Dead God and Jacinth Shell. Current boss assignments.
Does one Crux open Mephisto's Hoard for the whole party? No. Each player needs a Crux of the False Prophet for their own Hoard. Arrange that before the run so a successful kill doesn't leave someone without their reward chest. Personal Hoard requirement.
